I would NOT give this place my money again. For lack of a better word they scammed me. I left Jiffy…read moreLube because I thought they were overpriced but ended up paying the same at oil stop. At least Jiffy Lube was honest about the price up front. Everything was great until I got the bill: While they're changing your oil they try and upsell you on all this stuff, which is typical. But I did NOT agree to any of it. However, my $79.99 oil change ballooned to $130 because they charged me for an oil filter. I have never been to a place where the filter wasn't included in the price. It definitely does not say that on the pricing sign. The other possibility is the guy who was trying to upsell me tricked me into upgrading the oil filter. At one point he showed me the filter he was putting in and said "this is a synthetic oil filter." All I said was "oh cool." I just thought he was showing me, along with other things he showed me like the condition of the oil drain plug and washer. I NEVER agreed to any upcharge for a synthetic oil filter. I explicitly told him many times I was getting the oil changed because I was putting the truck up for sale. I'm not going agree to a fancy, and quite frankly pointless upgrade. So whether they just charge separately for the filter all the time or this guy scammed me, this company employs deceptive practices to make more money so beware.

The good parts are very good -- very friendly and helpful people who give back to the community…read more Doing a comprehensive inspection on your vehicle in return for a donated bag of groceries is a really outstanding gesture of care. You get photos and detailed notes on the inspection electronically, and they also print out a list of their findings for you to have. Now for the not-so-good. The major not-good is the outrageous prices they quoted in their estimate for suggested and needed repairs. Most of the items on the list were things we could do ourselves for far less money. Some were curious -- when the key fob and interior button wouldn't open the trunk, it seems the mechanic never tried just using the manual release on the trunk itself, which works fine. Similarly, they wanted a couple hundred dollars to diagnose why the TPMS system light was flashing, but they never aired the tires up to spec or test drove the vehicle to see if the light went steady or went out. And nearly five hundred dollars to replace the battery? I'm a shade-tree mechanic from way back, and it feels insulting to be quoted exorbitant prices for things that anyone who can follow directions can do. So, if your car repairs are paid for by insurance and the adjuster approves, or if you have an unlimited car repair budget, I'm sure this shop will do a great job, and you'll love interacting with the personnel. But we have already gotten the oil changed for less than 2/3 of their quoted price, and have two quotes on some major service that would have cost literally one to two thousand dollars more at this shop, so we'll reluctantly pass on any further work there.

Michael R. One star for Vanessa being polite. Our air…read moreconditioning on our car stopped blowing cold air all of a sudden. We called our regular mechanic we've been using for years who are honest, people of integrity, very good mechanics and for this reason we always take all of our vehicles to them but they were booked 3 weeks in advance. We made an appointment any way. We needed our repair sooner so I searched for mechanics that specialize in air conditioning and Auto Angels came up and remembering that my brother told me that they are good mechanics. So upon calling Auto Angels, they got us in right away next morning and told us that the repair would be $407 tax included. Later that day I received a call and was told we needed an AC overhaul and that it would cost $3074 and also other repairs needed totaling $11000 dollars including an oil change, stating that oil is very dirty. I mentioned to a lady on the phone that I didn't have $3000 right now but i would have to do this repair later and would go pick up our car. She was polite about it. We bought our vehicle brand new and have kept up with all required services and our vehicle has always run great. I talked with the mechanic and told him that we just had the oil changed not even driven 500 miles and he mentioned that if oil hadn't been changed for a while it will make the new oil look dirty. Being an auto mechanic myself sometime back, I immediately knew this was a lie and he was trying to bs me. Then I was charged $345 just for the diagnostic. This angered us. I called several places and asked what a diagnostic would cost just to determine repair if an AC unit needed an over haul. All averaged less than $200. Being charged $345 and never communicating this to us that there would be a charge for the diagnostic ahead of time in my opinion is crooked. We ended up keeping our reservation with our regular honest mechanic and he determined that there was no indication that we needed an AC overhaul but Compressor needed replacing and repair was just over $1000. Upon the start of the repair, our mechanic noticed that the nut that holds the pulley on the compressor was missing and was surprised the pulley hadn't fallen off so apparently Auto Angel mechanic forgot to put the bolt back or didn't tighten it and it fell off. Repair was made by our honest mechanic and AC works excellent with a 3 year 36000 mile warranty. We received a post card from Gabriel and Caroline requesting a review.

If you don't value honesty and want to get "taken", then this is the place for you. I brought my…read morecar in with a slow leak in a tire that was 2 months old. They looked at it and told me the nail was too close to the side wall to be repaired. He gave me a quote of $373 to replace the same tire as I had on the vehicle. The tech showed me a photo of the tire and the nail was at least 2 " away from the sidewall. The acceptable distance from the sidewall, for a safe, reliable patch is over anything over 1/2". I had at least ann extra 2&1/2 " from the safe spot. The tech clearly thought he had a dummy, and once again, auto repair shops seem to think they can fool women and take them to the cleaners because we won't question what we're told. I then called around and Discount tire quoted me $219 for the same exact tire installed. I took the tire to them and told them it looked to me like the tire could be patched. They agreed and did the repair. Discount Tire charged me $0 for the repair, whereas Jiffy Lube had quoted me $49 to patch a tire, before the tech tried to sell me a brand new, not needed, tire for the $373. So, I ended up saving $373 on an unneeded repair. (Although, I did tip the guy who patched my tire) Photo of nail in tire below.
