I'm sure this shop is good at the basics, but my experience with my Jetta was an absolute fail. After a friend and longtime customer raved about the quick and thorough service, I thought I'd give them a try. I was going to go to the dealer because it was a bit more complicated issue - the EPC light. But the owner assured me she could check this for me. She told me to have my car there the next morning by 9:00am and they'd check it out. Almost two days passed without any info regarding my car. I made 4 or 5 calls to inquire, each time the person that answered said he'd check with the owner and call me back. No call back ever happened. Finally, late afternoon the second day I called again, got the owner who said she was just getting ready to call me(?!). She said she "ran the codes" and the car needed spark plugs, an oil change, new coil and an oil separator. Not really what I had read were common issues when the EPC light comes on... So with this quote, I was concerned; I had recently had the spark plugs replaced and my oil changed. She admittedly didn't even check the oil in this diagnostic appointment for which I was charged nearly $100. And to boot she kept saying "ESP" light, instead of "EPC." It was even in the written quote. Didn't make me feel very confident that 1) they would be able to address the EPC light issue and 2) they really knew what my car needed when two items had recently been done (plus she didn't even check my oil). She quoted me something over a $1,000 to do this work. I told her I needed my car (I never expected to not have transportation for two days) and I would get back to her at which point I had to pay a diagnostic fee for something done hastily upon my 4th or 5th call and wasn't even accurate. Thank goodness I rescheduled my previous appointment with the dealership. They looked at my car, called me within an hour and it turned out it was my cooling fan, it had broken causing the car to not be able to cool and thus making the EPC light come on. I paid little more at the dealer than the crazy erroneous quote from Autocare 2000. I think they didn't know what the problem was and decided to just throw out the most basic common issues hoping that would bandaid the problem. I tell you this so you think twice before going there if it's something more complicated, because chances are you'll have to pay for something that's not even the problem and then pay again to actually fix the issue elsewhere. read more

I was in one week ago to have my oil changed/ fluids checked and to have an inspection done before I head off on a big road trip. The mechanic informed me that there was a leak coming from the transmission. He showed me exactly what was going on and they gave me a quote and said I could come back next week. I asked if I needed to top it off with transmission fluid in the mean time and the woman working the desk assured me " no absolutely not, you're good." They called me the day before my follow up scheduled appointment and told me all of a sudden the guy who does the transmission is no longer with them and they have to cancel the job. Heard this one before and I call BS! This left me in a bind so I went to a very credible shop in Taos and we discovered I had absolutely NO transmission fluid !! AC was blowing, but no one was home. Since replacing the compressor a year ago this was particularly annoying. I explained my issue to the nice lady, and that I only had about 2 hours to wait. She explained the diagnosis would cost $100.00, and if it only needed more coolant, they'd be done. On time she explained the compressor needed replacement and quoted $1500.00+ for factory part. Please do not give this business your money. My bus was vandalized and all my solar equipment was cut and removed while it was under their care, and the owner refused to take any responsibility. I should preface this by saying I brought my vehicles to Marianne (owner) and this shop for years and used to think this was a good and reliable shop and frequently referred others here. Unfortunately, I now know that there is frequently suspicious vandalism and theft here with no sign of forced entry, various court cases against this owner, and many reviews of this business charging for work that was never done. Here is my story: My friend planned to take my tiny-home build bus on a long road trip and so I called ahead and spoke to Peter (front desk), who assured me they could do a quick diagnosis and make sure it was road-worthy. I have owned this vehicle since 2020 and done a complete remodel and build and lived in it for the last four years. I knew the bus was in need of an oil change, brakes, and likely more. When I dropped the bus off, Peter was impressed with the build and was adamant that it should not stay overnight, due to risk of theft in the area. When I dropped it off there were no other vehicles in the shop and the employees were standing around, so I assumed it would be a quick diagnosis. Evening rolled around, and I had not heard anything, so I called to check in. When Peter answered, he was suspicious and said that the diagnostician had stepped out and they would have to keep it overnight. He assured me he would keep it locked inside the bay to keep it safe. His words were "That thing is fucking awesome, I wouldn't want anything to happen to it." I agreed to have a friend pick it up the following morning when it was ready. The next morning rolled around and I didn't hear anything. I was texting my friend and telling her I felt there was something going on, and I worried they had damaged the bus when trying to pull it into the bay (thinking it was probably too high to fit). Finally, I called at noon and inquired about the bus, and Peter nervously told me it was all good, no service needed, totally road-worthy, and that my friend could come pick it up. I thought this was odd, since I knew the bus at least needed an oil change before a long trip. I have never had a mechanic give me a clean bill of health like this before. I asked my friend to carefully check everything when she picked it up. Upon arrival, she paid the bill for the diagnostics. When she got in the bus, she sent me a photo of the inside. All of my electrical wires had been cut (heater, wall lighting, solar equipment, fridge). Various belongings had been taken, and drug paraphernalia (burned foils and instruments) littered the floor. There was no sign of forced entry. I had my friend put me on Facetime with Peter and Marianne. When we approached them, Peter admitted that he'd left the bus outside because he hadn't been able to fit it into the bay. I informed him that this was then his fault, because had he informed me the bus would not be stored in the bay, I would have come and picked up the vehicle and this wouldn't have happened. Marianne was immediately defensive, yelling at both me and my friend about how everyone tried to hold her accountable for Pete's Place and people who steal from the property, and I shouldn't have left my vehicle there. I informed her that her employee had clearly promised the bus would be stored safely inside. She then yelled that this was between me and Peter, and he would have to pay me back. "He has 6 children, though, so go ahead and ask him to pay you back. This is between you and him." Not once did Marriane apologize, and her character really showed through in how she treated her employee in that moment. When I tried to reason with Marriane and say yes, it was his fault, but her employees should be covered under garage liability insurance, and it was her responsibility as a business owner to cover damages that happened under her care. To this, she claimed she didn't have insurance (which is illegal) and she walked away from the conversation. Not once did she apologize. I was extremely distraught about my home, and this woman only reacted with extremely defensive and inappropriate anger. On top of this, the business charged us for a diagnostic fee, fully knowing something had happened to the vehicle, and no work had actually been done on the bus (they couldn't even pull it into the bay). I have since spent thousands of dollars and had to hire people to carry out the repairs. I also had another mechanic look at it and he diagnosed caliper/brake issues and said it definitely needed an oil change. This leads me to believe Autocare2000 did absolutely nothing to service my vehicle, even diagnostics. The fact that no doors or windows were broken (Peter claimed he locked up before leaving), indicates this was an inside job or they also failed to lock the vehicle at night. When my car battery died, I made inquiries to several local auto service repair places andwas sent an offer from Auto Care 2000 (which included installation ) of a 4 year battery, which I accepted and made an appointment the next morning. I arrived and was told they had my order and would proceed immediately. When I returned, a battery had been installed. I presented my charge card and paid, but the receipt showed a battery with a 2 year warranty had been installed. When I remarked about the discrepancy in price and description, the owner said no one gives a 4 year warranty and this was standard. I did not want to make a fuss but when I look back on this, it was "bait and switch." They made an offer and I accepted it, but they did not fulfill their own offer as promised. My husband said that when he needed a battery, he went to a place that brought two batteries out for him to choose. He chose the more expensive, more powerful battery and that's what they installed. I had worked with Marianne several other times with no problem, but this time she had my car towed away from the shop with no warning - they never called and asked my permission or told me it was in danger of being towed. She offered to pay $100 of the cost to get my car out of the tow lot, THEN CALLED THE BANK AND HAD THE CHECK CANCELLED! She is an absolute scam artist. I was in Santa Fe, NM last November and my radiator inlet pipe separated from the radiator. I was visiting NM from TN. The radiator failure occurred within a mile of the Toyota dealership and shop. I have a Tundra. I went to the Toyota dealership and asked for help explaining my delima. They told me the only thing they could do was put a hose clamp on the broken pipe and add water and hopefully schedule me soon. (Remember I bought and own a Toyota!) They recommended a local company; Auto Care 2000. I am so glad they did. I went there, explained my issue and they were excellent people and had compassion regarding my issue while traveling. I spent most of the day there and the staff and mechanics were wonderful working me in their schedule. Before closing, I was fixed and back on the road. Great people! I told them I would write an honest review, but I have to admit I forgot until now. I apologize for the delay in posting this. I am very confident to give them 5 stars for their service and friendship during the day. Very nice people and the radiator replacement is still going strong.
