    I can't say enough good things about Precision Auto Care. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. These guys are true professionals knowledgeable, honest, and genuinely committed to doing great work. From the moment I arrived, I felt like my vehicle was in the right hands. The staff is friendly, respectful, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. They don't try to upsell or pressure you they just focus on what your car needs and how to fix it properly. That kind of honesty is hard to find these days. The service was fast, the pricing was fair, and the quality of work was excellent. Whether it's routine maintenance or more complex repairs, Precision Auto Care handles it all with skill and attention to detail.     This is a response to your response. let's be honest about how things really played out. Your shop failed in customer service. I am attaching screenshots of the exchange between the owner and my mom for reference. Your receptionist did not make any attempt to assist me until I mentioned that you and my mom had been in contact. Yes, I told you ahead of time that my car had an interlock device, and I made it clear I could stay and start the vehicle or that you could contact the provider for a code. I never asked you to remove or tamper with anything I followed every step within legal boundaries and was cooperative throughout. But when I arrived, the receptionist AND your mechanics already had a dismissive attitude before we even attempted anything. It was obvious the mechanic had already said "no" before we attempted anything. I literally had to call my mom and reference the message exchange she had with your shop the same one where you were extremely friendly and said you'd be happy to assist just to get her to even attempt to help me. That shouldn't be necessary. Only after that did the receptionist even bother to call the provider and by then, it was clear you had already made up your minds. I felt belittled and judged, not helped. You say you "acted professionally" and "did everything you could," but your team was no professional and wasn't acting like they wanted to help at all. The tone and effort I experienced in person did not reflect the professionalism and friendliness I was promised online. If legal restrictions prevented the service, fine but that should've been communicated clearly before I took time out of my day to show up. Instead, it felt like the door was slammed in my face before we even tried to find a solution. You'd receptionist had an attitude on her face so I told her to just leave it alone and I'll be on my way. I hope you take this as feedback, not just criticism because what happened here was a failure in customer service, not just a legal misunderstanding.

    called in to schedule service and the receptionist was nice and helpful. Set me up with apt the next day. Came in to my apt and was helped right away. Overall great experience, will definitely be coming back for other car needs

    If you want your gearbox looks like this, you welcome ! Unprofessional people. They don't know how to do things properly. Oil pan bolts should be tightened 18nm, but these guys showed how powerful they are, bolts were over tightened. Into gearbox goes 7 liters of fluid, they put a little more than 4 liters. Now it's broken cuz they are not able to do any car service, even bicycle Im not gonna trust them to fix!

My transmission drives better now than when I first got my car. No joke, it shifts so smooth now. He said it was probably because of the seal. When they get hold they harden and it messes with the pressure. Jimmy is a small business and he strictly does transmissions. I had just come off of a really bad experience shopping around. Range Rovers Transmissions are expensive and most places quote around $6000 and do not do used transmissions. Jimmy is one of the few places that will do it. And he only charged me $1000 for the labor. That's it. After getting such high quotes from all over LA I couldn't believe it. And was worried something was wrong. But I assure you it wasn't. The price comes out to similar used places, but rather than finding the part and marking up the price and the labor. He just charges you for the labor itself. And he does the labor himself. So that's why it was cheaper. He's doing it at cost. He prefers you source the transmission yourself. If it's used, you're taking a risk, because nobody knows if a used transmission is going to work, and you being the one to source it sort of frees him of the liability. I Can't rally say, but that makes sense to me. All he said was that, he is really busy and doesn't have time to research and find it for you. He Couldn't take my car till the weekend, so it made sense to me. I"ll tell you what, Jimmy recommended a site, but I went an https://www.car-part.com/ and found 4 transmissions from GERMAN KOREAN AND JAPANESE AUTO DISMANTLING and they were great. The Transmission is tested and verified to work with a 90 day warranty. They ship it directly to the shop. I picked one with lower mileage for a few hundred dollars more which was $1700. Plus Jimmy's labor made it $2700. Best deal in town. LIterally the best quote in LA. I had to research and order the transmission fluid myself as well. So it was also at cost and my choice which brand. It was a litte more leg work on my part, but the cost is literally the cost of it with no mark up. Other places told me a used transmission was in the range of $1700 and quoted me at $3000-$3600 similar to transmission super shop. So it checked out. The difference was, a lot of places were actually marking up the cost for profit quite a bit. Some places had given me a quote in that ballpark and then later when I called again a few months later quoted me closer to $6000. Jimmy on the other hand, the price was the price. No surprises. The Risk was just on me to source a good one. And I feel like all in all it worked out for the best. I should thank transmission super shop for telling me no. Because that helped me keep looking around and find Jimmy at Atlas Transmission. I should also thank Beach Cities for being honest about their prices and recommending Jimmy to me. That's how I found Jimmy, an honest shop that doesn't do used, recommended Jimmy as the guy they send people to. And I'm glad they did. My Car is driving great. I didn't have to sell it. And I saved a little money. So if you need a transmission and replacing it with a new one is outside of your budget, Jimmy is an option that worked for me. I can vouch for him.

They had my car for three full weeks, which was far longer than I was originally told. When I finally got my vehicle back, it was in the exact same condition as when I dropped it off--despite being told the spark plugs had been replaced and the issue had been fixed. Not only did I waste weeks without my car, but I now have to take it somewhere else to actually get the problem resolved. When confronted about a refund, the owner ignored our concerns and decided to keep our money even though we didn't agree to replace the spark plugs when we simply wanted a car scan. The lack of communication, the excessive delay, and the fact that the issue wasn't fixed at all made this whole process incredibly frustrating. Well shocker after a couple of hours the car is ready and the bill is $423. Not sure why it didn't end up closer to $300 as he made it seem like $400 would be on the high side. Not sure what it would have cost elsewhere but I probably should have made a couple of calls to find out. It appears the job was adequately done though so 3 stars. Would have been 4-5 if price wasn't the high end of the numbers estimated. Also a very difficult place to get in and out of.

He gave me a great deal on a complete rebuild of my transmission! All of the mechanics I talked to before going to Coastline wanted to put a remanufactured transmission in my Honda; Angel was the only one who accepted the challenge. This guy really knew his stuff and answered all of my questions. Just an honest guy and a hard worker. Angel completed the job in just 2.5 business days. He did a phenomenal job and I would recommend his work to anyone with transmission problems. As other reviewers noted, the shop is very small and somewhat hidden so I would call ahead and make sure that there is room.

Trying to find a qualified shop that could service a manual transmission was a bit trying. I learned that all transmission shops don't do manual transmissions. I came across Coastline and gave them a call. I spoke with Angel, the owner. This guy knew what he was talking about! He explained to me, in layman's terms mind you, some probable causes and really broke it down into details. Given the economy, and some 'encouragement' from my wife, I had to call around and get some more quotes. I was very pleased not only with Angel's help on the phone, but with his price as he came in under all the others. It wasn't by much, but every penny counts. I decided to have him just go ahead and put in a new clutch since he was already going to have the transmission out, and considering that the price was good. I decided to take my truck in to Coastline and was welcomed by Angel as if he knew me. He was very professional and I felt very confident in leaving my truck there. My confidence was bolstered the next day when Angel called me to let me know what was going on with my car. When I went to pick up my truck my car didn't have grease all over the place, as some shops leave your car. Kudos. I paid my bill, and drove away with a smooth shifting car and a smile on my face!

Alex told me that one would be available but when I arrived that wasn't the case. Therefore, he lied to me from the beginning. The job was completed the next day as he said it would but my car was left very dirty and greasy when I returned to retrieve it. When I asked for a rag to wipe the greasy from my shift knob, he proceed to wipe down the steering wheel and knob then used the same dirty rag on my door panel, scratching the paint. Alex informed me that my check engine light was on and tried to suggest that it may have already been that way before I brought my car to the shop. I was appalled at this suggestion for my car only needed a new clutch and nothing else. I'm sure he turned on the key and saw no such warning lights but was trying to cover up that it was damaged during their repair process. When I returned the next day to have them repair what they did, I was not greeted with respect and I will not return to this shop again, even if the check engine light returns. I was initially quoted a labor cost only to be baited and switched after he learning that I had a very nice vehicle. Albeit, the clutch works as expected but I cannot get over how smug and disrespectful Alex treated me during this entire time. One could say you get what you pay for but the disrespect is unacceptable, not to mention I had to wash my floor mat because it was so filthy. I made sure not to put them in my car when I brought it back. I had to spread paper bags all over the floor then I noticed they had their own paper shoe protection that was laying on the floor when I returned the second time. I think they do decent transmission work but if you care about how you are treated and the care of your car, I would not recommend them but if you want to go the economic route and do your own cleaning and hope to don't cause more harm to your vehicle then these are your options. The engine light wasn't on when I picked up my vehicle the second time, but they could have just erased it and may return in a few days. Alex never called me once to tell me my car was ready for pick up. I had to call him both times, and the first time I came to pick up my car, he told me he had texted about coming the next day after I already told him l'm on my way. We had never texted before and I later learned he never texted me at all, that's typical of my experience in a nutshell.
