I don't usually take the time to write a review but feel the need to do so. Some quick background - this problem started with my front tires wearing unevenly on the inside of the tire. There was a vibration in the wheel, at my feet and seat so I took it in to have the suspension looked at. I eventually had all tires replaced, rear shocks replaced and alignment completed but the vibration persisted. I realized I was getting "the business" as that place was just saying "ok lets try something else" which made me realize I was paying for repairs that may not of been needed. So you have to believe I was a bit skeptical to try another garage. After that experience, I brought my truck (that has 300k miles on it) to Precision Auto Care with a pretty good idea that the U joints and carrier bearing were shot on the drive shaft. The problem was correctly diagnosed, repaired and turned around very quickly with no attempts at up selling repairs or other shady things some garages tend to do. The truck drives like it did when I bought it 12 years ago. Precision auto care has earned my trust. They are a professional team that said what they were going to do, did what they said they would do and even fully honored a new customer coupon that provided a decent discount. If you need a sincere, friendly, and fair Auto Repair and Service Shop, i highly recommend Precision Auto Care in Woodland Ca. They have an office staff that is hard working and attentive with pleasant, positive attitudes. They have several highly trained mechanics, including 2 Master tech's who, between them, can correctly diagnose and repair anything on a car, or in my case a van. I have a 1982 Ford E-150 that had a faulty electrical circuit. All the local shops I contacted declined to work on my vehicle, all but Precision. I called them and spoke to the owner, Carlos, who is also one of the 2 Master Techs, and he accepted my request to look at my E-150. After testing several components, he correctly located and diagnosed the failure in the circuit. He confirmed the problem with %100 certainty before replacing what turned out to be a relay. Precision Auto Care I have visited Precision Auto twice and both times have been treated courteously. On my first visit for an oil change I was given a detailed list of repairs and costs of things that needed to be addressed in order to keep my vehicle in good running condition. This prompted me to purchase a newer vehicle with fewer miles on it and when I went back to Precision Auto for an oil change, they had no recommendations for repairs. I really appreciated that! We are regular customers. I was sopping for a smog check and found a coupon in Woodland Consumer guide at Precision for $29.95 I showed up for my appointment a few minutes late and Rene told me they could still do it and it would be 30 - 45 minutes. My car was done in 20. I forgot my coupon but they honored the $29.95 price any way. Best shop around! PS I posted a 5 star review for Precision last month and I notice it is gone. The estimates that I receive either in person or via email are prioritized, which has helped me organize my appointments. I just had major work done on my engine. I had the head gaskets replaced. It has over 280,000 miles on it. They did the work in a day and the car is running like new. I also had the shocks changed and the suspension struts changed and the car's ride is smoother and my gas mileage went up. They are friendly and I have never had a problem with them. read more
