I drove to my home in Bullhead City to enjoy 4 day weekend. Sunday, the day before I was to head…read moreback home, I waited in line at Sam's Club to fill up my gas tank. When it was finally my turn I pulled up to the gas pump and filled up. It was then when I noticed radiator fluid spilling out from under my vehicle. Opening the hood I could see that the over flow had come out of the radiator coolant reservoir tank. It was 4 miles to my home in Bullhead so I crossed my fingers, cranked up the heater and made it home. When I got home I started reading Yelp reviews for mechanics and found Actco Auto Repair. Being that it was Sunday and they were closed I decided I would drive over when they opened at 8 am Monday. About an hour before I drove over I filled up the radiator with water and the reserve tank with antifreeze. When I arrived I went inside the office and explained what happened the day before. Since the hoses did not leak they were going to pressure test the radiator cap and the radiator and would call me when they found out what was wrong. From the shop I walked 1.5 miles home and as I opened up the front door the shop called me. They told me that the radiator and the cap were fine but the fan clutch needed to be replaced. They told me that it would cost $260 and that it would be ready at noon. I told them to start the job and call me when they were done. To their word they called a little before noon and told me my vehicle was ready. I walked back to the shop and when I arrived they explained what was done. They were very friendly and I felt the cost was very fair. Now I drive a 1994 Ford Explorer that has 284,000 miles on it. I always keep it well maintained. It's good to know that I found a honest auto shop that I can take it to if needed. So the next day I drove 264 miles home to Pasadena across the desert without a problem. Thank You Aatco

I took my truck to them in October of 2024 because my fuel pump went out on my F-350.....it was the…read morebiggest mistake of my life! Lets start with they had my truck for 5 1/2 months the owner diagnosed my truck and gave me a price of $14,000 and asked for $10,000 up front and I paid the $10,000 the day I dropped off my truck because I do not live in in Bullhead I have a vacation home in Needles so I needed my truck fixed because I could not drive it home which is 4 hours away. Once I paid Steve (the owner) the money he did not work on my truck for four months myself and my husband called him weekly and we even showed up multiple times unannounced asking the owner what was the hold up on the truck and we were forcing him to give us a pick up date his excuse was he ordered the wrong parts and he needed to re-order the correct ones. Instead of giving us a time frame we got a bunch of sorries and the owner deducted $3,000 off the balance because he said it was a mistake on his part and he wanted to make it right so we agreed and he said it would be ready. When I picked up the truck the first time in February I took it home just to have it leaking all over my driveway and we noticed that we paid for a brake kit for $500 that came with brake pads and new rotors but they only put on the brake pads and not the rotors. When I called Steve he said he was unaware and we could bring the truck back in to have the leaks looked at and they would put on the rotors. I took the truck back just to take it home again and the leaks continue on the work the shop did and I had to take the truck back a total of 4 times because I paid so much money my hands were tied. The leaks were because Steve said they change only some of granites to the turbo and put on the old gaskets and I asked the owner (Steve) what mechanic does a half a** job and doesn't change every part out and puts on old gaskets on he replied again its a mistake on his part and it would be fixed. The owner is rude when I went to the shop for the 3rd time I was frustrated but had to hold my words because I needed him to complete all the work on my truck but he was talking to me rude saying its your word against mine and when I confronted him about all crappy work his shop did for a lot of money he snapped on me when I left he knew I was not happy and upset with the money I spent and his work. The next day when My husband went to pick up the truck Steve tried to say sorry for his behavior and they way he was talking to us but my husband said it was unacceptable after almost having our F-350 half a year and the inconvenience trips we had to take back over to the shop because the work was no done right. We just got the truck back a week ago and now our oil light is on but we are not taking it back to them we found a better shop in Henderson who is fixing the truck the right way even though we have to pay out of pocket again its worth the peace of mind and there is no headache and we will get the truck back in a timely manner. DON'T TAKE YOUR TRUCK TO THEM EVER THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND KEEP YOUR TRUCK FOR HALF A YEAR!
