This is a great barbershop. Many times, just before my son's prom or other special events, they've come through for us. I tend to be a last-minute person, and they always pull through--even staying late at times. With three boys, that means a lot to me. Had an appointment with Brian for 4pm, he started taking a customer at 3:55pm. 4:30 rolled around and he wasn't done so I left. Took a family member here for a hair cut who is practically bald & from out of town. I can't believe how high a simple shave of your head has become. (Almost $50) (My brother In law) speaks perfect Spanish but doesn't look it apparently lol he could understand every word they said sadly about him. Oh well knowing is half the battle right. I thought I would let him give this place a try since it's new and we were eating with our entire family near by in the same plaza but nope we won't be back it's not bad but for that price he better look spectacular. I'm a woman and I don't pay that at my hair dresser and she actually cuts my hair not shaves around giant spots lol not to mention coughing the entire time so gross. Was quoted 20 dollars for a beard trim when i sat down. Was also told it was 10 dollars off for first time customers. After the beard trim I asked how much to add a head shave and was quoted 20. When I went to pay the $30 dollars quoted the lady at the front insisted I pay $40. So my barber was out of town so I took my boys here. Don't get me wrong haircut ms are amazing! They did a great job. But are not mindful of time. My appt was at 1030. My boys didn't get into the chair until 11. I have 3 boys they didn't finish until after 1. My entire morning was spent at a barbershop. That is not ok. I will not come back because of that. Walk-in with my son on a Saturday. Pretty busy, but they made sure everyone who came in were greeted & offered a drink (water or beer) and let them know that they would be with them shortly. Mike D was very patient with my son & took his time. My son had a mop of hair & it was really nice when he was done with it. My son was really happy with it & wants Mike D as his regular barber. This place gives the most precise haircuts, hence why it's called precision barber shop. I highly recommend Eric (The owner and you can contact him at 904-551-5716 which is the shops phone number and he'll give you his card once you meet him). I personally can only speak for Eric because I've been getting my haircuts from him for 2-3 years and he's always done me well and that's why I've stayed as a loyal customer, plus he's arguably one of the best if not THE best barbers in Jax FL, but make no mistake, all of the other barbers are equally skilled and take their time with your haircut as to satisfy your needs. In this shop you'll definitely get what you pay for and they also all do amazing work on all hair types (curly, straight, and wavy) and beards. The barbers create a comfortable atmosphere and are easy to talk to and develop friendships with. Don't let this shop be one of your choices, make it your only choice! (side note: if the barber makes a hiccup (which is rare) somewhere with your cut or beard and you need it slightly altered JUST TELL THEM or go back and tell them and they'll be more that happy to fix it for you and make sure you explain how you want it in order to get it how you want it. Worst Haircut Ever! Not much more I can say... the fade was completely messed up to the point I had to shave my beard just to be able to go to work looking half decent. This is exactly what I'm looking for when getting my hair cut. I visited the first day it opened so I think things were still being added to the walls, but overall it was very clean, bright, and open. Was pretty disappointed with this establishment. Stopped in on 6/12 to check out the barbershop and was impressed by the professional and clean look of the place. I asked the best way to come in a bring my son for a haircut and was told I could either walk in or schedule an appointment. So, 6/13 I called at 11am to schedule a time and requested 12 pm. I was told my best bet was to just walk in, however, I could come at 12. My wife, 1 year old boy and 4 month old arrived on time and was told to be seated and someone would be with us shortly. After about 30-40 min of waiting and gentleman (the same one who initially told me to come at 12) stated that after going around to all of the barbers, the next availability wouldn't be until 1:30pm. I am all for forgiveness and understand the unanticipated changes with a business let alone a barbershop. However, I was extremely pissed with the time that was wasted after having been told to come in at noon. Not too sure I would bring my business back this place especially because I was looking forward to getting my son his first haircut. read more
