It's been over a week and I can't get ANYONE to return my calls. Apparently, they only have one person, Melissa, who can schedule template appointments for my area. During countertop installation I was advised by the team that there was dry rot that I should fix before installing the counters. I was given a contact number by the installers for 'help' completing the install at a later date. After bringing in a licensed contractor to confirm the 'dry rot' I was skeptical even was an issue he confirmed that there was indeed no issue with the wood. When reaching back out to Precision countertops for them to complete the installation I had paid for they refused without charging an additional fee and claimed their not 'qualified to advise on dry rot' so listening to them was my fault. Be aware that Home Depot uses these people for their counter design and installation. Additionally, you aren't given a choice on when they install and the also showed up well before the time frame scheduled and no option was given in that regard either. read more

Our interaction with Precision Countertops was not pleasant. It started by placing the order through Home Depot, who promised that we would have an installation within two weeks of the initial consult. The order was placed on October 20th, 2020. We were told that Precision would be contacting us to set up the consultation within two days. I received a generic email from Precision, and then did not hear from anyone for 4 days. At that point, I called them, and they frantically worked to get me connected to someone who could set up the consult. They told me that it would be 21 days before someone could come and do the initial consult. I explained to them that I was on a time frame, and they told me that they didn't know why Home Depot had promised a 2 week install. Because I had already paid for my countertops, I was at their leisure. The consult happened 3 weeks later, and as soon as the tech was done (who was very unprofessional and asked to use my restroom before he was able to get started), I called them back to schedule my install. They told me that it wouldn't be possible until mid December (A month later). I reminded them of the promise to install within 2 weeks of the consult, and they told me there wasn't anything they could do about it. I explained that I was going on vacation on the 2nd, and really needed this project to be done before that. They were unconcerned, and basically said "Sorry!" We scheduled the install for December 17th. I was told that the installers would call me 30 minutes before arrival within a certain window. I got a phone call saying, "we're here," with no prior phone call. They then came in and began the install. I was wearing my mask throughout the entire interaction due to COVID, and our family and friends dealt with a lot of pain because of the virus. The main installer had his mask below his nose most of the time, and his assistant wore his mostly on his chin, not covering mouth or nose. After they were done, I went outside and found sawdust all over the entry to my back door. Needless to say, I am glad to have my counter done, but I am very disappointed with the quality of service and customer care that I received. This company has clearly worked out a deal with Home Depot to promise one thing that they will not deliver upon. If you can help it, don't fall for it! read more

Went through home Depot to get a dekton top which ran through precision. First the price point was really good, not sure if that could be beat. The only unfortunate incident was they deemed a cut unsatisfactory and needed to recut it. I understand there are delays and rather them recut it then sell me a subpar product, but I could have used more advanced notice then the day before installation. This delayed the project another week and a half but they were communicative throughout the process with frequent email and text updates. In the end, the results are fantastic. The countertops fit is perfect even with some of our slanted walls. Was expecting a really noticeable seam but it is so much better than expected and is barely visible. Will update the review if there are any cracks or counter issues but so far it looks and feels solid. Definitely will be considering them for other projects. read more

Do NOT use this company! They limit the kinds of stone / rock you should look at for your countertops and the locations of where to find the stone based upon whether Home Depot carries it or not. I wanted Quartzite (not granite) and not fake Quartz. Precision tries to steer you to Home Depot products only. When I asked if there were other places to look for natural rock/ stone the lady told me there were only two stone warehouses in the city of Portland when there are actually eight warehouses! We ended up finding our stone/ rock Quartzite at Intrepid and used Alphastone works as our fabricator. We chose AlphaStone works over Crowley's for fabrication because Alpha is up to date on technology while Crowley's is outdated method- you can't see actual finished product in advance with Crowley's. But, back to Precision, find someone else to do your fabrication, not Precision- their lack of telling me about all my rock-finding options felt deceptive to me-- I want to know all the places where I can find natural stone rock for my countertops! read more

I had Precision countertops make up my counter tops about 15 years ago and was happy with their work. so i thought it would be a good way to go when i upgraded my counter tops mid October. Generally they were slow to get to my work, the salesmen told me things were in stock, apparently that was stock at the factory! So we finial got it done in mid December. I could live with that, but now the sink they installed has cracks in it and i called in for warranty repair or replacement. Not a problem the said, i just need to get the sink suppler to replace the sink. I never had any contact with anyone other than Precision so i have no connection to their supply chain. So based on this support scheme, if my alternator goes out on my new car, i need to contact the alternator supplier and get a new part shipped to me so i can take it to the dealer to replace. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- We completed a kitchen remodel that consisted of professionally painted cabinets and new countertops. During the installation the cabinets were left with two significant scratches. We notified our Precision Countertops about 15min after the installer left and were told the scratches were within normal installation damage and it was our responsibility to fix. This is extremely poor customer service compared to all of the other contractors and services we have used throughout our project. Their installers are allowed to damage new kitchens without any recourse. I will not recommend this company to anyone. read more

The demo guys said they made a note of it and it would be taken care of. We contacted Hailey several times and kept getting the run around. Today (July 8, 2022) we spoke with Hailey's supervisor who said they do NOT fix damage caused by them and that it would be up to us to arrange and pay for it to be fixed. We told them that they had lost our good will and and would not be making referrals. She did not change her position. So, just be aware of our experience. We used Precision Countertops to two new countertops in two bathrooms that we renovated in our house in Port Ludlow, Washington. We selected, ordered, and purchased the countertops through Home Depot in Poulsbo, Washington. Home Depot was great to work with and so was Precision Countertops. They came out and measured our spaces. Then they set up an install date - which we had to reschedule because we weren't going to be available. The reschedule was really easy to do and they worked with us to get a date for us that was good. The installation went really well and the countertops look great. I have to say, if I were writing this review solely for the installers, I would give them more than 5 stars, if I could. Timely, professional and excellent service during our countertop install. I give the overall customer experience less stars and mainly due to Kayla and her communication. I had to follow up a couple of times to get the job scheduled and the demanding tone of the preparatory emails demonstrate her lack of customer service skills. After the first couple of dealings with her and reading reviews, I almost contacted Home Depot for a different contractor, but am ultimately glad I didn't- the installers were great and the countertop / sink is beautiful! read more

Two months after a granite countertop installation in a commercial space I phone Precision Countertops for some maintenance pointers following a rust and a tea stain. What help I received came from a snotty, condescending, plainly irritated young woman who was my project manager. What an unpleasant person, and there was no need to be. In the end she referred me to call the manufacturer directly (Cambria), who turned out to be nice as pie and couldn't be more helpful. What a contrast. You can do better elsewhere. Both the design and installation side of Precision was very good. I have a business. My employees are intelligent enough to never speak this way to our clients, or they are excused from customer service and sent on down the road to seek employment elsewhere. read more

(Home Depot was great, and this review does not reflect any experience I had with Home Depot) I received a call from Precision Countertops to confirm my order. They only had one of the two orders. Was told I would get a call within three business days, No call. I had to call only to be told that my project coordinator was changed. Couldn't get a response to email or phone calls. Finally got a call to confirm template appointment was given excuse by my coordinator that they get over a 100 emails a day ( not an excuse for not replying for over a week). Cancelled order!!! Don't waste your time with this company. I ordered through home depot and this company lost my order. Three weeks later I had to call and track them down. I was then given excuses as to why I got lost in the shuffle. Then told I would need to reschedule because there was a few things on my counter. I then spoke to Kambra Mathiasons supervisor to express my concerns about the lack in service and at the end of the conversation I thanked her and said goodbye and realized she had already hung up on me. We used precision counter tops to replace all our kitchen counter tops they were the original flormica counter tops still in great shape after 26 years just the color was not going to match the new floors and paint , to start with they cut the kitchen sink hole so big the sink hardly had anything to land on and no way to seal correctly as we contacted them they said don't worry we will take care of it if there is a problem so we installed the sink now less then two years latter the front edge of the counter top is starting to come off from water intrusion near the sink opening as we contacted them they will not stand behind it because the one year warranty is up , never use this company poor workmanship , poor quality, poor customer service read more

If I could give a no star I would. This was a living nightmare for 8 weeks. The template was done incorrectly, the first installation was 35 mins in and out They slapped the quartz on and did not level the countertops they left a huge seam, a dark stain in the quartz they did not even bother making sure the farm sink fit. I called the office to explain how awful of a installation it was. One counter was sloping it was so bad. They then sent out another crew they tried to level and correct the countertops and they put the sink in and drilled a hole in the quartz. The sink was not flush with cabinets what so ever. I called the office again and explained the counters are still not level and my farm sink is not flush what so ever with the cabinets and my drawer Is not able to open. Called again they sent out another crew #3 they said to me I'm sorry but this whole job was done wrong and they have to take out all quartz and order a whole new slab. I was in tears if they wouldn't have drilled the hole and taken there time and had my farm sink flush with the cabinets there wouldn't be a problem. So another two weeks of inconvenience #4 installation the crew came in put in new quartz Leveled and placed the farm sink it was still not flush with the cabinet, they said to me it's the best we can do put caulking in the large gap and call it good. This was so insane, I demanded they send out the Manager to correct This now!! This has been Going on eights weeks and completely unprofessional and unexceptionable. The stress was substantial for my family and myself. They sent out the manager he finally was able to rectify The farm sink after four crews were not able to. Then the tile goes in and the grout. I have white quartz and I did Black grout with my white tile. When they did the grout they did not lay down anything to protect the white quartz and unfortunately it was stained. They sent out another employee to try and get the black stain out it came out but now I have a seam that has black in it as they couldn't get it out completely. I do not ever ever recommend this company a complete nightmare. We are putting this behind us and hope no one else has to ever experience what they put us through. There where several time I had to complain to Home Depot and threaten to pull my job. Precision must be so big they don't care. The install team and templaters are great Never use them or give any recommendations. Home Depot provides value but in this case I would pay more money and go with a smaller provider. read more

Good Afternoon -- I wanted to take a moment to formally thank Joe V and his crew for the job done at my house in Newberg.  Filling out a survey (which I did) doesn't actually congratulate those involved. This has been a project from *&^% (and continues as of today) but working with Joe V was a breath of fresh air.  He kept me informed from the very beginning to after completion --- even listening to me when the problems weren't even Precision Countertops' issues.  I so appreciate "communication".  It's the key to customer service which seems to be lacking these days. I wish I remembered the names of the fellas who came out.  The templater walked me through all the steps as he was performing them and was very thorough.  The guys who installed the countertops were wonderful.  They cleaned up after themselves and even swept out drilling crumbs which weren't anything they created.   While I will not use or recommend Home Depot for future projects (this was our second round with them), I WILL recommend Precision Countertops because of customer service. read more

Let me just start with this, we are going through a nightmare of a kitchen remodel. We are using the Home Depot to reface our cabinets, Home Depot sub contracts with Precision Counters. We have not had a kitchen sink/faucet/running water for OVER FIVE WEEKS. We have two boys, 3 and under. Let that sink in. The granite we picked from Home Depot came in twice, after waiting and waiting we were told it was low quality material and could not be installed. Fast forward about three weeks.. we are given the choice to come pick out a new slab, or chance the quality of the next shipment fingers crossed it may come in okay. At this point we just need a counter, we rush in the next day to pick a new slab. We get a new install date, over a week from the day we were in the showroom making our selection. The scheduled install day we get a call saying they need more time to assemble counters. So today they were installed, installers were prompt and kind, counters are gorgeous the seam isn't wonderful but it's in a good spot so I don't mind. read more

Ghastly customer service! We put money down on a bathroom countertop in mid-August, were told it would be 2 weeks before the measure, then 2 more weeks until the install because they are so busy. Long story short, that time frame was off by 2 weeks, and when an installer finally came to install the new countertop, he drilled the faucet holes in the WRONG spot, so we could not install the faucet. The holes drilled were too large, off center of the sink drain and not evenly distanced. (Not to mention the fact that he wouldn't wear his mask over his nose, even when directly asked to do so.) I let Precision Countertops know there was a problem and they hemmed and hawed about how it was probably our issue, not theirs. They did not return phone calls, and when we did get them on the phone, they would not follow up with us as they promised they would. We ended up being without a faucet in our main bathroom for nearly 3 weeks! It took us threatening to place a lien against their bond at the CCB for the cost to replace the countertop with one that a faucet would fit for them to replace and redo the countertop. Ugh. For the high prices they ask, their customer service is TERRIBLE. The product--eventually--is great, but NOT WORTH the hassle, headache, frustrations or time it takes to deal with their inept. Go elsewhere. We will not use them again! read more

Nothing changed in the scope of work but once finished here comes the call for extra $$$! Poor communication, rude service after calling to discuss concerns AFTER installation from office worker. Installers were polite. Would be great to keep in mind customer's don't install countertops everyday so when customer reps fail to mention what they don't do and its not written in the signed paperwork, there is no need to be dismissive, combative and rude when called out that something might of been missed during installation. Next steps should not be to tell someone who has paid thousands of dollars to look on YouTube, or to be thankful we left you the piece needed because we didnt have to. That is beyond poor service for something that seemed and was a simple fix and could have been addressed over the initial phone call, but the rep chose to be abrupt and say there is nothing we can do. I wasn't even told a piece was provided and this is what it was for after the installation debrief. Again I'm not a professional countertop installer so how would I know. If I could return countertops I would as it does not feel good to give your hard earned cash to a company like this. I didn't pick this place as it was a hire out from a big box store. As a customer who's been burned many times by independent contractors, I thought going with Home Depot (Precision works through Home Depot) would be a safe bet. It really wasn't. The only difference was that there were multiple layers of people that I could call at both Home Depot and precision to try to get all the problems fixed. As it was, my daughter's 11th birthday (with the whole family getting together for the first time at our house) was celebrated on a particleboard countertop with a tin camp sink because the countertop had been cut so badly that it needed to be redone. It was the subject of jokes at the party. That was embarrassing, but I don't feel like I should've been the one to be embarrassed. My complaints follow. First, when Precision sends a template for approval, that should be the product that they provide. If the veins match in the picture the customer approves, that should be what is provided to the customer. Second, customers should never be treated as though they are lucky to get a tin camp sink, temporary plumbing and a plywood countertop while mistakes (that were not the fault of the customer) are being fixed. That is the minimum expected level of customer service. Third, a customer should never be told that "delays and mistakes are expected". That is what gives contractors a terrible name, and why homeowners hate doing home-improvement projects. professionals do not expect delays and mistakes for every job. They should be the exception, not the rule. Finally, all commitments made should be kept. If a template is provided and approved, that's a promise. If a promise is not kept, customers should be compensated for the amount of time and inconvenience created. Ultimately, I was satisfied with the final results, but I had to fight a lot to get a quality product. I was modestly compensated for the difficulties Precision caused, but the value of my time and energy was about 8% of the total project cost (and I had to really fight for that). As a contractor, when I screw up, I'll give my clients at least 15% off because I'm a good contractor. Good contractors want to make customers happy. They care about their clients. read more

I had an EXCELLENT experience with this company from day 1. I got quotes from 2 other companies before precision, one company said I had 70 sq ft of counter tops and I knew I did not, turns out they charge you for the waste. I had another company measure for a second opinion and they said I have 55.2 sq ft counter top but they didn't have anything in stock I liked except for a few at $136 a sq ft and that was a bit much for my budget. I decided to give Home Depot a try because they had a sale going on the quartz Everest that I loved and was in my budget, so I set it up. Precision came in a few weeks to do the template and they came up with the same 55.2 sq ft counter tops as the 2nd company did and the template guy was so awesome!! He was so friendly and just a great guy to visit with while he worked. After the template they made the install date pretty quickly!! They arrived earlier then expected and everything was so awesome!! The install guys were so friendly we just loved having them there!!! The counter top was cut absolutely perfect and was so beautiful!! They did a seam that came out flawless, you can barely see it!! My husband sat in the kitchen for 2 hours after they left and just admired how beautiful they were and the amazing job precision did on the cuts and seam. I find all these bad reviews crazy, but maybe they are different installers in different states but the guys that install in Montana area are just amazing in every way!!! If they would have told us that when we scheduled the measure, the appliances would be there. we picked the appliance date to not clutter the project space and could have easily had them there if they would have let us know. We just had Lumina Viatera quartz countertops installed in our home. It was supposed to have both warm grey and golden veins throughout it, however, there is NO gold veining at all. At Precision's showroom and Home Depot we were told repeatedly that one of the best things about quartz is its consistent coloring and design. We contacted Nathan Passarelli at Precision and were super disappointed in his customer service -- offering absolutely no help, blaming Home Depot (who simply submitted the order), and then blaming us! Precision is a recognizable brand and although more expensive than other companies, we chose them for what we thought would be a great product, install, and customer service. Boy, we're we wrong! They never asked for a picture or offered to send someone out to at least check. He refused to contact Viatera, the supplier, to see if something perhaps went wrong during manufacturing. Nathan's only response was that it was someone else's fault (us/the customer who trusted them to fulfill an order and/or Home Depot who submitted an accurate order).
