Chad: I did not want things to escalate to this point. I wrote an honest review of our experience (as a Yelp Elite, I do this for all the businesses I deal with, and it is clear from my reviews that I am not a constant complainer, as a huge majority of my reviews are 4 and 5 stars). I have several friends who are small business owners and it I would never unfairly bash a local business. I feel we did more than we needed to to give you another chance, including rescheduling several times. If you had contacted us after the last interaction to make things right, we would have been receptive. However, to contact us only after you saw my review on Yelp, with the stated intention of trading a free service for removing my review (which was never an option, only an update would have been made), did not seem right. We did attempt to try working with you anyway, but as I told you several times, our schedule is very busy. When it became clear that another appointment was not possible, I politely declined. After you contacted me more times, I told you we were not interested in the service, and it was my intention to let that be the end of it. A few bad reviews on your page will not make a difference if the rest of your customers are happy with your service. I did not write my review in an attempt to hurt your business, I wrote about my personal experience, which I do with all businesses I have worked with. I did not want to update my review to state that you had contacted me several times despite being told we were not interested, as I felt that it was unnecessary and reflected poorly on your company. Again, I did not want to make you look bad, I simply posted my experience with you. But you kept pushing the issue, including writing me a message which I found to be insulting and unprofessional, as well as your comment referring to me as "this lady." You have caused more information to come out than I had been wanting to share, so now potential customers will see you level of professionalism for themselves. ~ They showed up late. A few hours ~ 3 guys were detailing my truck ~ when the job was done...... ~ my drivers mirror had left over product residue. ~ There was left over product spots on my hood, doors along the molding and random areas of my truck which dried in the heat and made it hard for me to remove! ~ The hand wax was not what I expected. I think it was a spray on wax that they misted over my truck and wiped off. ( NOT WHAT I EXPECTED) all in all..... I should of just bought all the products myself and did it. * I really wanted my truck to get a good hand wax to protect the paint. read more

As the owner of 2 small businesses myself, I think long and hard before giving anything but a perfect score, however first time impressions are key. I work out of my vehicle and needless to say, Im a slob, plain and simple. I was delighted to see the groupon deal for auto detailing...the description plainly says they will find every crumb. The groupon was for $59 but an additional $30 coz I have a SUV and an additional $50 to shampoo the carpets. The exterior and rugs was beautiful, the inside, although cleaned, looked simply wiped down.I was not pleased to find the glove compartment that I had emptied in advance for cleaning to be left untouched and still full of crumbs. The ashtray, which is used as a change holder and was also emptied in advance for cleaning, also untouched and grimy(grimy from me not Chad). Lastly, he did request check or cash.I paid cash but was offered no receipt.I asked for one and he said he would send it. I am still waiting for it. I feel 3 stars is generous for what I received that day. read more

This review is based on my firsthand experience with this vendor's service and his calls and emails to my wife and and emails to our accounts. See also the review of Christy M., my wife. This review is more about customer service than cleaning service (little cleaning occured)... but service is service. We paid for 2 car detailings (Groupon deal). First appointment canceled because Chad couldn't perform detailing in blood donation parking lot. Second appt no-show, vendor called 2 hrs after appt time. Third appt mediocre cleaning of wife's car. Fourt appt, no show, no call until several hours after appt time. We refunded last detailing groupon and wife (Christy M.) wrote a review. Chad finally saw the review months later and asked us to remove the review in exchange for a free detailing. The offer was nice, but we couldn't work out a convenient time. We said, no thanks, not interested... then the calls and emails from Chad started. Here is one of the latest to my wife. Chad S. E-Mail: "I tried to make things right but it is what it is. But one thing that pisses me off is that in your review, the first scheduled appt. WE DID NOT cancel right before. Your husband gave me a location (his blood bank) which I showed up at, and was unable to perform the work at that location- that would be your HUSBANDS bad, not saying the rest of the experience wasnt tough, just thought you might want to know the facts before you start talking everything bad about someones business. As far as the quality of work- it was a Groupon which is our MINI detail, NOT our top of the line service. Just felt you needed to be a little more educated on the situation." Response to Points in Email: 1) Do not blame the customer. Re-read your Groupon advertisement and web page. When we purchased the Groupons, for a "mobile car cleaning" the conditions did not state that the vendor would need access to a hose; this is also not stated anywhere on your web page. When I scheduled our appointments, Chad was informed that the location I proposed service when I called was a blood bank; I also simultaneously scheduled my wife's appointment at our home, so Chad should have known that the two locations were not both our house. He never asked us about water. We assumed (incorrectly) that his business had a portable unit and would bring their own water... they advertised as a mobile service, not a "wash at your house" service. I'm busy doing worthwhile things like donating platelets to help little kids; I needed a time saver that DIDN'T require me to sit and wait at home. The business did cancel this first appointment, it appears for legitimate reasons, and I was fine with that... however, it is just part of the longer narrative (read Christy M.s full review). The real problems came AFTER it was made clear that our car would need to be at our house to get service. THERE WERE TWO NO-SHOWS AFTER THIS FIRST ISSUE. 2) Re-read her original review. Nothing in her original review of Chad's employee's work, which Chad did not supervise or ever inspect, indicated that we expected anything more than a basic detail. The employee that came out did a mediocre cleaning job; the vehicle cleaned was a mini-car, so very little work would have been required to do a thorough cleaning. I understand that this employee has since been fired. 3) Good service, or corrections to bad service, should not only come to those who review your business. Chad's offer to remedy service came months after the original cancelled appointment, and only after Chad saw my wife's review!!! This business did offer us a free cleaning "so that we would consider changing our review." Chad flat-out told us that the reason he contacted us was the review... they would not have done anything to remedy the situation, despite the failed service, if the review had not been written.... that is wrong! We actually did offer to let him try again on a weekend we were free and in town, but we were not willing to take time off work or change weekend plans to get our car back to our house, so he could access to a hose; he was unavailable the weekend we proposed. We declined further offers. To be honest, at that point, we didn't want Chad to know where we had moved. (Still in Sacramento area, different home.) 4) Cease and Desist Contact Since writing her review (11/19/2011) this business owner has sent several emails to my wife that I perceive to be harassing; we have notified Chad that we wish no further contact, but he keeps calling. After posting my review, Chad sent me this... ------ "Hi Ty, Chad S. has sent you a message on Yelp: A life "You and your wife need, one. Um u and I both know the blood bank would not work. Who has the time on their hands to write a ton of reviews on yelp? Obviously you folks....I do work for some high end people. Wow, my car looks fantastic. I wasn't home when the guy came over but my husband said he was very nice and spent about two hours cleaning it. And it wasn't all that dirty! So he really got in the nooks and crannies and I am so pleased. read more

The owner Chad came out to my wife's office and detailed her car. She said he was very professional and did an outstanding job. When she got home I looked at her car and it looked great. So I called him to come do my truck. Again he did a great job. I had him do a full detail he clayed and waxed my truck the paint felt and looked better than new! We now use precision details on at least a monthly basis for both of our cars. I highly recommend precision details. Thanks for always doing a fantastic job! read more

Warning! Do not purchase! I recently purchased a detail package from Precision Details through Living Social. I left 5 messages over a 10 day period in an attempt to set up an appointment. I received no response. I tried one more time yesterday and the contact number was answered by an unidentified man who stated that Precision Details is no longer in business and then proceeded to "garble" the telephone reception to avoid any conversation with me. I believe in supporting our small local businesses but it appears that I have been scammed by Precision Details of El Dorado HIlls who continues to sell a service when no longer in business. The term "buyer beware" has a lot more meaning to me now. read more

I never thought i would of payed someone to clean my car, but when i saw the Groupon offer for the mini detail package for $60 come up i couldnt refuse. After i made the purchase i called Precision Details to schedule my appointment, and they were booked out for a few weeks. Bummer! I was pretty excited to get my car cleaned right away. So my appointment day comes and no one shows up. I waited for about an hour past my appt time and decided to call them up. The owner was very apologetic over the phone. His employee had strep throat and wasnt gonna make it out today. He never got my phone number when we talked before so he couldnt call me to cancel. I also own a business so even though i was disappointed i understood things happen and there's nothing we can do. Now for the bright side. When the guy finally made it out to clean my car he did an awesome job. The inside wasnt a major detail, but he vacuumed my carpets very well, wiped down the interior, and cleaned the windows. On the outside he made my rims and tires sparkle, washed and hand waxed the body, polished my exhaust tips and most importantly came out to my house to do all of this. He spent about 3 hours and did a very thorough job. I thought the service was great, and for the groupon price and a $20 tip you cant beat it. Their regular prices seem kind of expensive, but if you have the money its well worth it. I would like to try some of their other services like the engine detail, or a full wax. read more

PD came to my door and spiffed up my car beautifully while I worked. I'm embarassed to admit that I let my car go a long winter, including travel through snow with a dog, without a cleaning. So the difference between before and after was remarkable. PD spent about 2 hours doing their mini-detail (cleaning inside and out, but not the extras like shampooing the interior) and left it shiny and clean, with sparkling tires and a dust- and fur-free interior. They use a truck-mount pressure washer, so this is probably not the detail package one would choose for a very special sports car, but the job they did on my daily driver was quite nice. The interior showed high attention to detail. I did notice a spot missed on the exterior (inside the gas door). Overall, a beautiful job. They were also very prompt and pleasant. read more

I was referred to Precision Detail by a family member of mine when I need a detail on my prize Porsche 911 Carrera 996, I normally hand wash my car but it was in some need of intensive care, needed a wax & buff. Chad the owner showed up to my residence at our scheduled time, and was a very clean cut friend person! He was very easy going and diligent in his work and did not take any shortcuts like most detail companies. I also saw that he used top of the line detailing products not the cheap auto zone type stuff like most detailing companies. I was appeased my car was getting the presidential treatment, and not being treated like a pitbull at a puppy mill. I asked him a few detailed questions about the service he was going to perform and he was quite knowledgeable and had lots of experience and I was pleased to have my Porsche in expert hands. Since having Chad detail my car, I schedule an appointment monthly to have him detail my car. I'm still amazed how he was able to buff out my hard water spots and a few light service scratches on my java black paint that requires meticulous if not obsessive compulsive cleaning. I now use Chad on a regular basis and refer him weekly to my friends and family. In this economy you get what you pay for an with Precision Detailing you get more then what you pay for that's certain. My husband & I did the Groupons too. The deal was $59 for a $120 detailing. We definitely did not get a $120 detailing...more like a $30 regular car wash. There are still coffee grounds under the driver's seat, the trunk was not vacuumed, nor were any of the little compartments cleaned (glove box, arm rest compartment, etc.). I thought that detail means EVERYTHING is cleaned, down to the last detail. My local car wash does this kind of regular cleaning for less than $30. Not a great way to promote your business to get repeat customers after the initial Groupon. read more

Please don't ever use this service. They are unprofessional and extremely rude when you try to critique their performance. It is never appropriate to use foul language. I'm not sure where you learned about customer service, but u should try and get a refund. Try to be a better human being and maybe you might be more successful in life! Chad, the owner of Precision Details, arrived 10 minutes early for our appointment and did a phenomenal job detailing our Lexus. We paid for the up-graded detail which included a thorough cleaning of the inside and wax job on the outside (which left the paint as smooth as a baby's behind). Truth is, my husband has always kept this car in primo condition, but it was 10 years old. I just knew that Chad could take it a step further and make our vehicle look as though we just drove it off the show room floor, and I was right! Chad took much pride in his work and spent 2 1/2 hours making sure that every nook and cranny was clean and shiny. Had Precision Details detail my 2004 black Denali a couple of weeks ago. It was part of a Groupon ad plus I paid extra for the ultimate detail. Took a flyer on the service even though I had read some of the negative Yelp comments. Very pleased. Although the SUV is in pretty good condition, the detail work set it off perfectly. Well done, looks great, and water beads up on the finish. Chad, the detailer, was personable and wasted no time. Would recommend to others. read more
