    We've been here n multiple occasions and all our experiences and transactions have been wonderful. The staff is very knowledgeable about all the fixtures and different lighting needs available. They were professional, but never pushed us to spend or exceed an our budget. So really listened to our needs. I would rather spend a little extra on my purchase to get the time, effort and quality product I want and need for my home, as opposed to trying to buy at a big box store were there's no help or even good choices! It was a pleasure shopping here.

    Unique lighting options for many needs and exceptional service. I truly appreciate the owner himself was there to help me find a chandelier that fit my design style, brightness needs, and budget!     Fell in love when I saw this chandelier at the Walnut, Creek Lighting store. The store owner was very helpful and gave me enough stem for the chandelier to continue on the modern aesthetic up to the ceiling mount. He even threw in free LED candelabra lightbulbs! I just came back after a couple of weeks since I got my chandelier and purchased two more additional lights. I will be using a sconces over my staircase, I'll update my review to include those photos when the time comes.

    You know a customer is loyal when he's willing to drive 45 minutes to your store! I live in San Francisco. There are plenty of lighting stores closer to my home. Behrang and his team, however, leave no reason for me to even consider other shops. Their showroom has a broad selection of modern and antique-looking fixtures + a solid range to match any budget. Custom orders are also super easy. Behrang knows his selection really well. In addition to buying new fixtures, they also stock the odd light bulbs that you have a hard time finding elsewhere. As a realtor it's always my first stop (and typically my only stop) in redoing the fixtures of a home. Make sure to say hi to Monta the frenchie while you're there ;-]

    We purchased the large majority of all the lighting for our new build at Walnut Creek Lighting. I came to them never having noticed any light and having no knowledge of my style or what I wanted. Each week for several weeks I would make appointments with Kathy and she would patiently guide me to choices I was happy with for each room. She advised on how much light we needed for each room, was endlessly patient when I would pick something and then change my mind and want to start looking all over again, and was so knowledgeable and experienced. I didn't have a designer and Kathy was able to help me enough that I didn't really need one. They all share an email address so if Kathy wasn't there, another member of the team would reply or meet with me. (Thanks to Katy for pinch hitting with me many times!) They have an endless supply of lighting books and companies they work with. My dining room chandeliers were backordered forever and they were great about keeping me informed about what was going on, even through the shelter in place time. The owner called today to say they are finally in! We worked with many vendors and this was the one of the most consistently positive, reliable and seamless. Highly recommend!

I was in need of a licensed, capable, and highly rated electrician to replace a 44-year-old exhaust fan in the master bathroom of my condo. Checking Yelp, S&B Electric was one of the first I saw that matched my criteria. After reading many of the reviews, I submitted a request for quote through Yelp (late October or early November 2025). I received an automated text response with a list of questions to answer. I responded accordingly. Below is a timeline of subsequent communications: 11/03/25 - I sent a text to S&B requesting confirmation of receipt of my information. No response. 12/05/25 - I called and left a voice message 12/06/25 - I called Stewart directly and received an automated response stating, "I'll call you back." I replied, "Thank you." 12/06/25 - Stewart returned my call. During the conversation, he requested a photo of the existing fan. I obliged and immediately sent a picture. When I sent the picture, I received another automated response with the same questions I had received before. I completed them again in response. I received no confirmation of receipt. 12/10/25 - I sent a follow-up text to Stewart. No response. 12/17/25 - I called Stewart again, and again received an auto response, "I'll call you back." No call back happened. I put the entire project on hold for the next five or six months and focused on other things. During this time, I received no communication from Stewart or anyone else from S&B Electric. Always wanting to give people the benefit of the doubt, I decided to try one final time. On 5/06/26, I sent another request for quote through the form on the S&B Electric website and received an immediate automated response confirming receipt of my request. As of 5/13/26, I still had received NO RESPONSE. At this point, I had completely given up. I understand that many people had wonderful and positive experience with S&B Electric, and that is what I had based my initial decision off of. However, when a business or representative thereof fails to at least extend the courtesy of just replying to say they cannot, for whatever reason, accommodate a request for service, that non-response is equivalent to poor service overall. That said, since I cannot speak to the quality of their work, I must base my review off of the facts above. If the amount of stars is based on that, it would be 0/5. Consequently, I ended up working with another locally/minority owned/operated contractor, who not only provided exceptional service from initial call to intake to invoice, but they also got the job done in less than three hours and will be my contractor for all future electrical needs in my current home, and future home.
