They also updated the existing chain link fencing and rehung a gate in the same area as the deck. They removed the old deck that was essentially starting to look like petrified wood in the forest before building the new deck which was a composite decking material. The workmanship for the deck was top notch. The project cost was about what was originally estimated which was a huge plus. No cost overruns whatsoever for the project. Hiring Rick's will give you a skilled and experienced crew and you will be assured that the estimate will be accurate with no high cost surprises during or after the project is completed. Ethan was a fantastic point of contact. He handled the estimate, came to my house with decking color samples on the first appointment and was outstanding to work with. I was also able to visit their Gresham location showroom to look at railing styles and selected the aluminum railing because it is zero maintenance. The aluminum railing cost a bit more but completely worth it. The crew was on time every single day and worked hard. Happily we did not have terrible weather -- only 2-1/2 days of rain during a two week project beginning the second week of December.
