I Visited this showroom this morning looking for hardwood floors for my kitchen renovation. Roger greeted me when I came in and I explained to him what work I would be doing. He showed me around his showroom indicating all the areas where the hardwood flooring samples were. His showroom is spacious with room to move samples to the floor to get a good look at each one individually. He did not leave me to my own devices too long, just long enough for me to peruse his extensive collection of wooden floors. He returned three times to answer my questions, ultimately guiding me in narrowing down my choices. Each time he returned to answer my questions, he gave me his full attention. I never felt rushed to leave or make a quick decision. His knowledge regarding wood floors is extensive and he was happy to share it with me. On another occasion I visited another nearby flooring showroom where the consultant would barely give me the time of day except when I asked for pricing. When we purchased our home, our hardwood floors was repainted with an oily stain, which made it look too shiny. Furthermore, the floor had some cupping. We asked Precision Flooring to resurface our floors (sanding and re-staining) and they did a thorough job. They did our bottom and top floors and also our stairs. They were able to remove the cupping, and they applied 3 coats of matte stain. Overall, we were very pleased with the result. I was appreciated how quickly they gave an estimate and got us on their schedule, even when we made a last minute decision to add new shoe bases. I appreciated the workers that came. They certainly stand by the name Precision flooring. Everything went so smoothly. The scheduler Erica is great she worked with my time line. The floor installers show up on time which is very rare for a trade. My floors looks so beautiful I can't recommend them enough. My sales guy was Roger. The installers were Oscar & Rick I must say they took out my ceramic flooring and didn't scratch any of my cabinets which I was so nervous about amazing!! Also found an inch trim to match my cabinet. Cleaned up every night before they left. I also had the painter come and paint my baseboards which is why we hired them because no other hardwood floor company wood paint or replace the baseboards after the job was finished. So after my review, I received a sarcastic response from Donald G. (owner), where he was trying to validate their response to my inquiry, by telling me that it was in my best interest to come to their location to learn about the products and installation techniques - and that they were NOT the price leader. I informed him that I knew exactly what I needed, as the flooring I was inquiring about was already installed in my home, just damaged from water. All I needed was their price and availability to get the repairs going and the flooring on order - my homeowners insurance was covering the cost. Precision Flooring has floor installers who do great work. However, the scheduler does a poor job of scheduling. Promises are made but not kept. I had to call and write several times to get things started. In addition, I had to reschedule about three other contractors (which delayed my overall project by about a month), because of their poor scheduling skills. My personal items were moved but not protected. (And they were paid to move and place back large items like threadmill and couch.) So my Horizon Elite Threadmill got soaked in the rain because they placed it outside instead of in the garage. I also came home to find my living room couch and love seat tossed into the garage without covering. Also, be prepared to request a copy of your paid invoice several times. When someone spends almost $10k with a floor vendor, one expects a more professional experience. read more

I originally went to Precision flooring when I bought my house. I had them refinish the entire floor and do some minor repairs. They were good about giving me an estimate and sticking to it. However, I had to call them back out when some of the work was substandard. They came out and redid some of the work...it was a bit of a hassle, but it happens, right? For that original visit, I'd give them three stars. I'm dropping it down to two because I recently called to get an estimate on a scratch repair. Donnie made it seem like it would be easy to get an estimate, saying he could do it if I just sent him a picture. I did so. Nothing. He never even bothered to respond to the email. We had a small job, requested some additions to the work order, got them, but in the end the job is not done and I just got a bill for much more than I had expected. To top it off I got a call from Don just now asking for payment and then asking if he'd have to put a lien against my house in order to obtain payment. Yikes. I used this company to install baseboard, vinyl and carpet in my home back in 2016. After about 2 years, small edges of the vinyl started to pop up. This was only on the vinyl edges so it was minor, however, it doesn't look good and starts to become a little more noticeable over the years. They verbally told me that I had an 8 year warranty, so I figured I would fix it later in case a few more areas pop up in the vinyl. I reached out to them 2020, they say my warranty was only 1 year. Also, when dealing with the contractor, they told me if I do some of the work they would give me a discount. In they final pricing they tried to charge me full price, so I had to negotiate and received less discount than they promised. I guess you can't trust their word, so get everything in writing if you decide to deal with them. This company charges a lot to install flooring, so I would expect a little more from them. Unfortunately they fall short in trustworthiness so I will not use them to install floor in my next home. read more

My husband and I had bought a new home this spring, and being that our first two homes were turn key or new construction, I thought I was ready to tackle a larger place in need of some TLC. Picture over 3000 sq. ft, of out-dated maple everywhere, shoddy looking baseboards, and mismatched sections of laminate/ tile/ carpet that had to go. First step: have floors and bannisters done, as these were a huge focal point, I figured out pretty quickly this was going to be a big project- Oh, and did I mention I had three flights of stairs to deal with? I must have contacted over 20 places for the two bids in the first few months and it did not go well at first. Mainly because there was a huge communication gap. The flooring contracters were asking questions about the bannisters I couldn't answer and vice versa. As far as the flooring went, I had talked to enough professionals/ done enough research during the process to know when someone is trying to cut corners or feed me a line. Nearly everyone wanted to talk me out of gluing down ( in addition to the nails) or charge double for the nail and glue. Some places wanted to charge me $250 per step labor upcharge for installation on the stair part-at 60 plus steps that was a sticker shock. Enter: Don from Precision Flooring. Out of over 15 flooring contracters, Don was only the second person to actually address every concern I had during our initial meeting. I could tell about 10 minutes into our conversation that he would get the job done right- no cutting corners, Okay, so now I wasn't sure what to expect for his price quote, because the only other contractor to impress me to date was way outside my budget. But, suprisingly Precision Flooring's price quote was extremely competitive. I am a big believer that ' you get what you pay for' and these guys were exactly what I had been looking for- quality work for a competitive pice. I was sold. I will admit I probably visited the showroom like 5 times during the next few weeks to check out samples of engineered wood. I had been to nearly every showroom in the area at this point and I will say I found the best selection of up to date quality product here. I could tell they really paid attention to the latest flooring trends, Don was seriously awesome! And the other team members were great about helping me out when he wasn't around. I was looking for a European oak in a medium brown ( not too red, yellow, nor gray in undertones) with some character grade and a wire brushed or similar finish that showed a nice 'pattern'. Yeah, not too picky or anything, right?!..LOL Well, given my quest for perfection in everything, I am accustomed to feeling some level of annoyance from the salesperson whom gets stuck with me, But Don was always totally patient and spent a good deal of time teaching me about how the different finishes of wood will wear, maintenance/ upkeep- you know, the kind of things that would really ensure that I picked not only a visually perfect product, but one that suited my lifestyle and lived up to my expectations, I found a few that I liked in the showroom, but because I was on a budget Don ended up taking me to their wood wholesaler, where I ended up finding exactly what I was looking for. Added bonus, he called me the next day to let me know he had been able to negotiate an even better price on the wood. Three weeks later, Chico and Juan arrive to start the process. Did I mention I am living here while they do the floors..? Yep. AND iit wactually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, Sure, there is noise and a lot of dust, but nothing some headphones and open windows can't fix. And when these guys left at night you could hardly tell it had been a construction zone during the day- they always kept the everything tidy and were even so courtious as to vacuum/ sweep the work area meticulously on account of the fact that my cat has an odd habit of eatting small foreign objects ( carpet tailings, wood chips, pieces of tape, ect) and I was paranoid about anything that could possibly lead too another emergency room trip ( and bill) for kitty. It was just amazing to watch these guys lay the floors- I was impressed with the fast, meticulous workmanship. They paid attention to every little detail and even let me pick out the stairnoses with the most prominent pattern for my main staircase. My baseboards look perfect too. Plus, on top of that, these guys were super polite and genuine. My husband and I could tell they really took a lot of pride in their work. A few years back I purchased my carpet and had the installation done by Lowe's. Big mistake. The carpet began to have rolls and creases within a year. Contacted Lowe's and they would not come fix it unless I paid quite a bit of money. I contacted Precision Flooring and the next day I had an employee at my house, re-stretching my carpet and fixing all the mistakes Lowe's had made. I have used Precision Flooring on several projects and in every case have been very happy with both their service, responsiveness and most importantly the finished product. Most recently I needed to replace several prefinished flooring boards that Precision had installed 5 years ago as we had a friend's large dog badly scratched several of our flooring boards. This was a very technical and challenging job and Precision's installer, Evi, did a perfect job removing and replacing the boards in the middle of the floor without harming any of the adjacent boards. I was hesitant, but they did a very good job. I was originally set to use another carpet company but at the last minute, they told me they didn't have the brand and color in stock and it would take 7-10 business days for a new shipment to arrive. Since this is a rental property and everyday that it sits empty is income lost, I decided to ask for a quote from Precision Flooring. Donnie said he could have it in stock on Friday (I called on a Wed) and install in on Monday. The quote was also reasonable (in fact, it was slightly less than my other quote) I was, of course thrilled but very hesitant to move forward due to some of the negative reviews here on Yelp. I conveyed my concerns to Donnie and he assured me that they would prove the bad reviews wrong. I am very happy with the outcome. The speed and quality of the work is superb. I took off 1 star because they left a scuff/smear on one of the freshly painted walls. I'm pretty sure I can clean it with a Mr. Clean eraser but I wish I didn't have add one thing to my never ending to - do list. read more

I went with Private Reserve Collection - MADE IN THE USA!!!! milled in California - factory finished for ultimate wear - beautiful long wide planks available in engineered or solid! - hard hickory options. What gave them 5 stars: - Amazing staff - Conscientious on site, going above and beyond on different items (trap door for my crawl space is a master piece. Base boards stained to match existing cabinetry....). Huge prep done, sanding the subfloors to ensure they were level and quiet. I was sad to see them finish up because they were a JOY to have around. - Personable sales staff (really enjoyed working with Donny!) - I LOVE MY NEW FLOORS!!!!!! I would highly recommend them! My caveats for any installation with any company, are: 1. Confirm the lead time with the company providing the product as this can vary based on demand. 2. Be prepared for lots of dust with a properly prepped subfloor! I could not be any happier than I am right now. I am a Realtor and hired Precision Flooring to update the floors in a client's home that will soon be for sale. The sales rep Tim was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and communicative. He also helped me determine the best way to deploy 2 different types of flooring instead of the 4 different kinds that existed before, and he let me see samples of stain on the floor before we committed to a color. We hired Precision to install luxury vinyl tile, replace the entry tile with hardwood to match existing hardwood floors, and then sand, repair, stain and finish all the hardwood. Evi did the installation of work which was completed impeccably and on time. The hardwood was done by Mariano who is incredibly gifted. The finished flooring produced an updated look and color scheme that is both beautiful and easy to maintain. We are remodeling our home and had Precision Flooring install new wood floors. We are mid-way into the process (the boards have been installed) and are about to undergo the sanding and sealing. Ebi is the gentleman who installed the planks, and did beautiful work. One detail I was concerned with was a door installed in our kitchen floor, which leads to our basement. I wanted the door to blend in as much as possible, which required matching the planks on the door to those on the floor surrounding the door. Ebi took great care to match the planks, which is not as easy as it might sound, as there is a good deal of variation in the wood we selected. We are very pleased. We begin the sanding and sealing process tomorrow and are optimistic we'll be as pleased with this step. read more

We just completed a whole kitchen remodel and we have Precision Flooring install laminate floor (with underlayment) in our kitchen and entry area. Our team is Tim, Jennifer, Shelia, Brando and Deniel. You need to understand that you will meet with at least three different groups of people: 1. The sale rep, for Q&A, and to place the order 2. The scheduler, to schedule your installation date and time 3. The flooring installers. It's out first home, so we put extra time and effort on finding the right company to do the job. We first heard about Preision Flooring through a good friend of us, and after we saw the floor in his house, we decided to visit the showroom. Precision Flooring has a large range of products; we met Tim there, who is very experienced and knowledgeable. We are also able to borrow samples home to make sure the floor match our kitchen. We have a very strict rule in our HOA. We need to provide information for HOA to approve before installation of new floors. Tim provided us information to send to HOA and made sure we chose the right flooring material and underlayment to meet the requirements. Tim also came in to take measurements and give various advices before we started our kitchen renovation project. Brando and Deniel did an amazing job installing the floor, they are professional and make sure the area is clean everyday before they leave. Jennifer makes sure everything meet our expectation. Our experience with Precision Flooring has been mixed. The showroom folks were helpful, but scheduling, organizing, being ready to do the work, and speed of installation left something to be desired. It took much longer to install the flooring than I expected. Then, within two weeks of moving back in, four huge splinters came up out of the brand new boards. To their credit, they did come out and fix them free of charge, and our installer for the new boards, Ebi, was excellent. He worked diligently through the day, was kind, courteous, and accommodating. 100% ++SATISFIED~ It's been 16+ years I have been wanting to change out my hardwood floors. For over 40 years my husband has been in the business of remodels, he knows his business, that's the good, the bad is he is extremely knowledgeable, picky, detailed and very price conscious when hiring a sub-contractor. It's a grueling process but in this case, it certainly paid off. The entire crew at Precision was extremely experienced, professional and hard working. While we loved our sales guy Tim, I have to brag on Luis and Kaden. I can't say enough about these two gentlemen, they worked in our home for 10 days. They arrived on time, had great attitudes, never wasted any time on the job, never went missing and were always helpful if I needed. Never once, did any of the crew disrespect me or any of the other subs on the job, they played well with others which says a lot about their work ethics. Daily, Luis and Kaden went above and beyond my expectations of a subcontractor. I will miss "team duo"! In sales typically, I know that once the sale has been made the sales rep's go missing. Not in this case. Tim made 3 trips to check on the job and found time to do a final inspection the day of completion. If all of that doesn't sell you on this company, we got a call from Don the owner, during the first few days to make sure things were going well. I got two bids to install sheet Marmoleum in the color Red Copper in my kitchen, from Precision Flooring and another company, both of which I found on the manufacturer's list of authorized dealers of Marmoleum. Precision's bid was about 30% higher, but I liked Tim, the salesman, and felt confident they'd do a good job. I had a radius transition to the adjacent hardwood, which required an extra level of care to execute. So quality was very important to me. I paid a deposit, and was told I'd get a call back in a day or two. I had to call and leave messages three more times over the course of a week to get the job on the schedule. When Sheila finally called back to schedule the job, she had a lot of excuses: the supplier wasn't responding, her office was being painted, she was out of town, etc. Ok. Then my main point-of-contact, Jennifer, finally emailed me back and said that her voicemail account had been accidentally deleted. OK again. At this point, I almost cancelled, based on the poor communication. But I regretfully had Sheila go ahead and schedule the job, and she asked for 60% payment. I know that the State License Board warns consumers not to pay more than $1000 or 10% of the contract price, before materials are delivered or services are rendered. So I told them I'd pay once the materials were at my house. She agreed to that. Ricardo came out to do the installation. He asked me if I wanted the seams welded or butted. I said welded. He asked whether anyone warned me about the seams. I said no. He asked again, 'Tim didn't tell you about the seams?" I said, no. He said, "They are VERY visible." So I got online to look at photos. The photos I saw looked OK, so I said go ahead with the welding. As he started doing practice welds, I could see that they weren't looking very good--inconsistent in width, very obvious difference between the seams and the surrounding material in color, texture, and sheen, and some areas had rough edges. I should've had him stop right there, but after waiting so long, I wanted the floor done so my family could use it. I went to Forbo (the manufacturer's) website, and quickly found that there is an optional "multi-colored" welding rod for all of the Marmoleum colors. But it was too late, as he had already started welding the seams in my floor. I would've liked to have been informed of the option of using multi-colored welding rod, and shown an example of the welded seam, before we started. As Ricardo finished up, I expressed my displeasure in the appearance of the seams. He said he thought there was a buffing or coating that could be put on this floor that might help. I called the office right away and asked for Tim. I was told he was not in the office. It was afternoon, probably 4 PM. Ricardo was finishing up. A few minutes later, I heard Ricardo talking to someone on the phone. It was Tim. Then the secretary called back to tell me Tim was not available. I said, that's weird, I just heard Ricardo on the phone with him. Then Ricardo told me that Tim told him he'd contact the Forbo rep and would get back to me. I thought it was strange that Tim called the installer back but not me. Then a guy called back who said he was the owner. I explained the situation, that I was disappointed in the seams, and was upset to learn that there is a multi-colored welding rod that might have looked better. I was calling to find out whether a buffing or coating might be applied that would improve how they look. I won't re-hash our whole conversation, but he barked at me that I should've spec'd that welding rod, and he started reading to me from the Forbo website about the care and maintenance of the floor. He was so defensive and rude, no apologies, no offers to help the situation. I can see that the culture of excuse-making at his company comes from the top and rolls downhill. I started getting calls from them trying to collect payment. I said that I wasn't happy, and nothing had been done to address it. They transferred me to Tim, who said he'd call the Forbo rep and find out. After several weeks and one last-minute reschedule, Tim and Ricardo finally came to my house. Tim said that he'd send a guy out to buff the floor, and then they'd credit me "some money" for my time, for me to apply the semi-gloss finish that Forbo makes for Marmoleum. I thought this was pretty fair. Then I got an email saying that that offer was no longer on the table, and all they'd be willing to do is buy me the cleaner and the finish, which totals probably $30. I was never given instructions on how to care for the floor, and have lost hours in trying to schedule appointments and research buffing and coatings myself. Guys, all you had to do was send someone out to buff. It would've cost you a couple hundred bucks. The best thing I can say about this company is that I don't have to work with them again! If you want a company that doesn't communicate with each other or their customers, and who has ZERO integrity in their work, call Precision Flooring. Horrible service.
