I called AAA because my commuter car's ignition didn't work (key could not turn). I had this problem before, but this time the usual trick didn't work. In less than an hour they were in my driveway, and 40 min after that the Precision Locksmith employee had removed the lock and replaced it with an better after market model and keyed it to the old key. I should be trouble free for the rest of the life of this car. All for AAA membership and $75 - a bargain, because the dealership had quoted me over $200 (going on memory - it was some time ago). I needed an extra key for a Subaru. Called and gave them information and they said they could absolutely cut the key for me( after Fred Meyer and ace hardware could not). They closed at 5, made it there just in time, the associate was very attentive and cut my key right away, let me take it out to the parking lot and try it before paying for it. The key for perfect and it was very inexpensive! I will go back if I ever need a key cut! They also had a big wall with a great selection of house keys!!! read more

Steve first tried to help me over the phone; when I still wasn't able to open it, he scheduled an appointment to come to my home. A couple of hours later, he arrived and got the safe open in minutes. At first their price was just right and it made sense to use them! After the work was done I was shocked with some door handles costing $130 a peace. I messaged the locksmith who did the work about how Home Depot has them for $55. He wasn't able to address my questions and you would think he would have someone contact me. However he did not. So far I'm not upset... However when I contact the manager there who explained Home Depot doesn't carry 6 pin locks, and that's one of the bigger reasons why only that equipment could be used. Naturally I asked if something can be done since I didn't know of this and they denied it.. I am still not upset. I then found out that they recycled our old locks which worked just fine, we just wanted different locks. I never gave them permission to recycle them, at that point I asked if they could be somehow given back to us or if we could be credited a little something for this mistake. The sad thing is the finance person with my organization had already paid the invoice in full, I just didn't realize that. With that said, read this response when I asked for credit for the recycled 6 pin locks that we didn't want recycled: " We were never advised by anybody on scene that you wanted to keep any hardware, unless we are told at the time that it is to be kept we recycle the hardware so it doesn't go in the junk pile at a landfill. If this is just another way to get out of paying the charge for the locks FINE! Send us a check for whatever YOU believe is fair. We will credit whatever you don't send and be done with this relationship. If you send us nothing fine. I am done with this conversation due to the lack of communication from your individual at the scene with my technician from a job over 1.5 months ago. I am forwarding this on to our owner as well as bookkeeper so she is aware of whatever your entity sends to us as final payment in full. I will mark your file as never to perform service for again. I tried for nearly two weeks to retain the services of another highly rated locksmith service and never even got a response. I used precision's web contact form in a last ditch effort to get some work done and had a call back the next business day with apologies for taking so long! I explained my situation and the difficulty I was having getting some work done on the quick, and these folks went above and beyond to find a way to squeeze me into the schedule. I fully get the impression that this place really is a family run and sincere, caring business, and not just paying lip service to that ideal in an effort to sound friendly. They actually seem that way to me, at least as far as every interaction I have had so far both on the phone and In person. The techs were at my house precisely on time. They did excellent work and I could really tell they cared about their work, quality, and respect for my house. Soooooo glad the other place never bothered to call me back; forcing me to keep searching until I found Precision. And the total cost for what I had done left me stunned. I could not believe how reasonable the price was for the work. And the techs were super friendly; and as I am a curious person by nature I like to hover and ask questions and they totally explained everything and answered all of my questions and wow. Just wow. Went to get two copies of my car keys. Took less than 15 minutes without an appointment and got a $40 discount just because.

We needed to have the locks changed on our house quickly for security reasons. Called Precision and Nathan came out within an hour. We discussed the situation and he recommended that we re-key the 5 dead-bolt locks. Nathan removed them, took them to his truck in about 30 minutes, he was re-installing the dead-bolts. He lubricated and cleaned them as well. During the install, we talked about his work, his 20 years of experience and how much he enjoys working for this family owned business. He finished the job in one hour. The entire job cost significantly less than I had expected, and he even serviced the lock on one of our cars which had been sticking.
