My car is new, only 55k miles, and I ended up getting an oil system cleaner. When I looked it up, I found out I didn't actually need it unless my car had 100k miles or had poor maintenance--but I had just bought it from Enterprise. Other things they were offering, like a coolant flush, wouldn't have been due until 100k miles as well. So be warned and do your research so you don't get talked into buying something unnecessary. At this point, my car really only needed an oil change, an oil filter, and a cabin filter, but I was being offered services that aren't due until much later.

Because I was charged at the high end of the spectrum, Brooks insisted they needed to keep my car overnight knowing I was from out of town & would need to get a room for the night. An added expense. They didn't care. They didn't start my car til the next morning & when it was done, they left my car with grease stains everywhere that the mechanic's hands & bottom of their shoes touched. The shop is filthy. They also tried to charge me for a 2nd cap til I caught it.

This shop is not a STAR station, so be sure to check your paperwork before coming in. This shop also requires a reservation for a smog check so call ahead of time! Kevin completed my smog check in under 30 minutes, and while I'm not sure what the average price is, his kindness, efficiency, and professionalism were absolutely worth it! I'd say I would come again but I'm hoping now to need to anytime soon (though I will be back next time it's required!)

Had to pull off, get a hotel room and after 5 calls to mechanics, chanced it that these guys would help. Boy did they! Although Chad was pretty swamped, he managed to fit my friend's car in in about an hour and not only filled the oil and alerted her to a big leak(and gave us pointers on how to keep on top of it for the drive home to San Francisco), but also vacuumed the floor of the front seat of the car. I was bracing for a huge bill, a huge delay, or both - small town, limited options, we all know the story. But after we dropped the car off and walked to breakfast, their tech called to inform us that while the flat couldn't be fixed, they had a lightly used tire in our size, and they could install it for a very fair price. Yesterday we ended up in a really bad situation…read more We were driving from Mount Shasta back to San Jose when, just outside of town, we got a flat tire on our Tesla Model 3. The car wasn't drivable, so we had it towed to Point S Mt. Shasta. Without even inspecting the car, the technician immediately told us we had to replace all four tires--even though they had all been replaced back in March. At first, he kept talking about the drivetrain. Then, after an official Tesla representative confirmed that replacing just two tires would be acceptable, they switched their explanation and said it was simply their company's policy. It was Friday, and they were closing for the weekend. They knew we had no other options. Their quote to replace all four tires was $1,200. When my husband asked if they could at least repair the tire or even just let him use or borrow the necessary tools, they literally went to lunch. They refused to help, even though they could clearly see we had a child with us. They even told us we had to leave their parking lot if we wanted to repair the tire ourselves. I honestly have no words. I was so frustrated. After that, my husband called three more tire shops in town, and every one of them told us to wait until Monday. In the end, he went to O'Reilly Auto Parts, bought everything he needed for about $100, repaired the tire himself, and we made it safely back to San Jose. The employee at the parts store even told us that we were probably treated that way because we weren't locals. Unfortunately, after this experience, Mount Shasta will always leave us with a very negative impression.
