They short changed me and only delivered less than 1/2 the oil I needed and billed me for the full amount. so now I am in a fight they thought they could take advantage of a senior citizen. They told me my gauge was incorrect so I used a tank stick and a tank chart 18" of oil is only 188 gallons or 29% full. Math does not lie ! that no where near 400 gallons I ordered. They implied I must of used over 200 gallons in 3 days. Putnam was always honest and sent the same driver every time im so sorry I did not use them. Sorry Putnam I should of call you guys and gals ! Dan Duffy stopped by with his laptop and a few different options to choose from. It took less than a week for the crew to come by and cool us down. Buyer Beware: Dishonest, Unprofessional, and Unreliable…read more We had a very troubling experience with John Kulk of Kulk's Plumbing and his employees. After diagnosing an issue as a contractor error, John Kulk later changed his story to the contractor, claiming it was our fault, which caused significant confusion and delays. John Kulk then suggested we file a claim with our homeowners insurance to correct the negligence of the contractor. The next day, the contractor stated in writing that he had "conferred" with John Kulk and repeated the same question, "perhaps that could go through your homeowners' insurance??" During the service, the atmosphere was uncomfortable. John Kulk said he can't find qualified workers and complained his employees frequently argue in front of customers. We previously had to ban John Kulk's employees from our home due to their unprofessional behavior. We also faced major reliability issues; snow removal was promised but denied immediately when the first snow storm arrived. Given the overpricing and lack of professional conduct, the quality of service here has significantly declined. We do not feel comfortable having John Kulk's Plumbing in our home again. I've had a service contract with Optimum for a couple years and I knew right away during the first routine maintenance that Joe was thorough and took pride in his work. The other night, our boiler failed (we knew end of life was near) and Joe was here within 15 minutes to troubleshoot. We ultimately decided to fully gut and replace. Joe pulled his strings and had everything at my house in less than 24 hours and went to work to get us up and running the next day. Very rare to get that level of emergency service and turnaround in the middle of winter, especially for a full gut job vs. simple cut and replace. After our horrendous and expensive experience with another company Steve came to the rescue. All…read morethe misinformation I was fed about a leak, needing a new evaporator coil, and three applications of refrigerant proved false. Steve and his techs came, did a nitrogen pressure test, determined there was no significant leak...turned the system back on and it has been working ever since. This is after the system breaking down 3 days within every time it was supposed to be fixed and being charged each time $300 for a service call. I would give Mountain Breeze ten stars if I could.
