When our garage door stuck half way down, I began calling companies to see if someone could fix it. I made 3 calls to other companies, then happened upon Precision. I called, was greeted warmly, I was told someone would be` out in the afternoon. The serviceman was prompt, knowledgable and friendly. He fixed the door, tightened the frames and oiled everything so it runs smoothly again. The only "down" to this was that a lot of lubricant (oil) ran onto the garage floor from the frames. I'm sure I can clean it up. Much better than unwelcomed critters in our garage! I recommend this company highly! Fast, friendly, knowledgable and reasonably-priced. read more

PRECISION DOOR SERVICE.. Stay far far away from this company!!!! Called this company to install a one car garage door in nov. 18th, 2021. Verbal agreement door would be installed in early december. After the 2nd week in Dec we contacted the company said couldnt get a door until March. Told them that was unexceptable. After many conversations he (scott) said we will get a door installed in Dec. They sent a door with damaged parts. After contacting BBB he, Scott again said he would rectify problem next week. That was back in Feb. Of 2022. Over a month Ago. It is April 2nd, 2022. Service man was polite and on time. But ! these are contractors that work for precision not employees sold their game is to stick you with the highest quoted price you're willing to pay. I needed one spring replaced. a typical all in price should've been about $400. They quoted me 1200 said I needed two springs high, heavy duty springs and additional work. I sent them away paid $125 service charge and got the repairs done for 350 I would not use precision.!!! read more

Precision Garage Door is a fantastic company who are always quick to provide service no matter the time of day. My garage door malfunctioned at 9 PM on Thursday and a technician arrived at 8 AM on Friday to fix the problem. Technician, Colin Horsch was professional, friendly and very knowledgable when describing all service options. Prices were fully explained before the repair began. Colin replaced the entire mechanism within an hour. I love the results and would definitely reccomend Precision Garage Door. read more

After the nightmare experience we just had with Mesa Garage Doors, we reached out to Precision. They came out to give an estimate the next day and were very honest about the timeframe for installation and actually were able to do the job 2 weeks earlier than they originally thought. Even though they were a bit more expensive than Mesa the fact that they were honest and kept their word about the installation it was worth it to me. They're at my house installing the door right now. Hopefully everything will be great, and for now I'm giving them 5 stars just because they didn't jerk me around and lie to me! read more

They don't even deserve one star!! They will charge twice to 3 times what other companies will and not do quality work. We are now left with about $1000 in repairs that will need to be made and they sent someone out to look at the issues, said they would be in touch the next day. The tech support was useless! I scheduled an installation, they arrived on time and installed my product without fail. I attempted to set up the wifi app and of course I could not get this to work. I called for service and I needed to leave my name and phone number for a return call. Four hours later a woman called stating she could not help me. Horrible customer service. No one responds to their website chat. Called three times to schedule a quote and install. People in their office and call center messed up each time. Took a day off work for install only to have them call and say they messed up their install scedule. DAMAGED SYSTEM. Door hanging crooked 3 days later. looked online for garage door repair service and noticed they were offering $15 off of a service repair (in their short google description). Went to the site and saw coupons and good ratings. Booked an appointment (my cables were loose). The spring was broken, I then discovered, and called them the next morning to give a heads up. After the repair was made (replacing the spring with their more expensive one that lasts 10 years, they say), there was a $69 Trip Charge AND a $15 Environmental Charge " for The Truck" added onto the Bill. This negated the $15 discount or coupon they advertise up front. The grand total was $238 and some change. A spring at Fleet Farm runs about $20, but who knows how long it lasts. The trip charge is ridiculously high and the Environmental Fee is unheard of. Plus, it should be mentioned UP FRONT when you call to book an appointment. Responded back to the company but they just email a survey. THREE DAYS LATER the garage door system is DAMAGED - the door is hanging crooked, at least an inch higher on the left. HAVE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM since the original system was put in. read more

This service sucked. I needed a garage door repaired and they come out. Told me it would be 695.00 to fix. When I asked them how much a new one would be they told me 1200.00. That is a lie. Precision Door Service of Milwaukee (PDS of MKE) visited a 95 yr old family member's residence in St Francis to perform maintenance/repair on a heavy steel garage door (spring, pulley & roller replacement was done) on 13Jan17. PDS OF MKE claim the springs installed exceed the weight rating of the door, however, there is virtually no spring assist to lift the door with the new spring system installed. It takes two strong people to lift the door into the open position; when the door is let down you need to ease it down so it doesn't slam violently to grade (an obvious safety hazard). The pulley system is twisted around/across the roller track system instead of along unobstructed lines of operation (causing it to bind/increase friction). No anti friction lubrication was sprayed on the track to reduce friction. No handle was installed on the inside of the door to disengage the locking mechanism from the inside per good practice to facilitate opening the door. These are the obvious signs of a questionable service/installation. PDS of MKE was asked to come out to re-evaluate/improve the installation (one of the original installers came out instead of an independent evaluator from this contractor) and he advised it was a good installation claiming the installation was clearly explained when the service was performed; alternatively he offered to sell us more changes on top of the $500 already spent ($300 more to replace the new springs they just installed, or up to $1500 to replace the entire door system) . I am visiting from California (and I am not a garage door installation expert) but do not believe that a quality contractor would want their name associated this installation. A neighbor came-by and agreed the service performed seemed questionable. My family members do not have a car but wanted to get the door operational so we could park our rental car in the garage during our winter visit; we are parking on the street. When we come back in the spring we will try to find a conscientious quality contractor to improve the operation of the door. Mark B. read more
