We used Deepak for our wedding and reception July 2012! He was one of the easiest vendors to work with, and he was very reliable. He listened, gave ideas, but was never pushy. Many DJs I spoke to before were constantly texting and emailing me asking to sign contracts, however Deepak was completely opposite from all of them! He was very friendly and approachable which made things easier for me! He helped my friends make a 10 min skit/dance mix which I know for a fact-was so hard to work on. However, he would come over and stay late at night just to finish the mix for us. I thought that was just a great gesture and perfect customer service, he really didn't have to do that. Apart from this, Deepak did a great job with our lighting and set up! Our venue looked amazingly beautiful. We did not give him a list of songs or anything like many people do, I trusted his picks and all I can say is, I'm so glad I did! He is such a talented guy! Our wedding music fit appropriately with the ceremony and there was NOT once a dull moment on the dance floor at our reception. We literally had 200 people constantly on the dance floor the entire night. He did the introductions for the bridal party, family and bride and groom. He was full of great ideas to make our events look absolutely amazing! It is a real pleasure to work with them because of their accommodating personalities coupled with their professional demeanor. After reviewing and talking to many South Asian DJs in the Los Angeles area, we were just exhausted because none of the DJs really seemed right for us. I called them last Saturday and left a detailed message and no one returned my call, than I called again on Monday and some guy answered and sounded very shady on the phone it's like they didn't want to do it or something you could of told me but anyways he took all the information and said he will call me back and he never did. He provided lighting and DJ services and we are very pleased with the services provided. The Great Room of the W Hollywood looked magical in blues and purples. The hotel tried to tell us that the room would not look good with uplighting because the walls were a very very dark grey. Deepak made them pop! Everyone loved the music he played and people literally made me cut off the live band that had 10 more minutes to play so they could get back on the floor to Deepak's spinning genius. People still come up to me and say "Your DJ was SO AWESOME! Where did you find him?" Actually, I found him right here on Yelp! I hired Deepak for an Indian wedding I planned for a client at Terranea after hearing great things about him from a friend. He was very professional and had a great attitude throughout the planning process. On the day of the event he showed up early and really came through. His mobile DJ performance had the entire resort joining in. The ceremony music was perfect and he kept guests on the dance floor until 2:00AM (10 hours). He has a great skill for reading the crowd and doing a mix of music genres to keep everyone happy (hip-hop being my personal fav). We ended up having a few hiccups with our lighting vendor and wished we had Precision handle that, in addition to their DJ services. Deepak is now my go-to guy for all Indian weddings. I used Precision DJs for my wedding in January 2011. Deepak did an excellent job throughout the entire process of helping us figure out what we would need in terms of lighting, music, fillers, etc. His expertise in the area really helped us when trying to work with what the hotels requirements were with lighting, etc. We used Precision Sound & Lighting for pretty much all aspects of our wedding. We had a pre-wedding Henna party on Thursday and used them for lighting and dj'ing there. They were also able to provide us with some excellent dhol players for that night! The lighting came out soo pretty and everyone LOVED the color sequence they came up with. On the day of the wedding, we used Deepak again for playing some classical music during the ceremony as well as some laid back tunes for lunch after. Once again, he was also able to provide us with a dhol player for the morning. In the evening, we walked into our gorgeous ballroom and all of the lighting that had been done for us was astounding! All of the pinspot lighting, gobo lights and lighting on the sweetheart tables was done so perfectly! The music was great as well and he kept the whole dance floor packed until 2 am! The venue was actually supposed to close at 1 am but the Hotel Manager saw how much fun everyone was having just dancing that he let us stay until 2! Deepak had no problem with that and played on through the night! I also have to mention one thing that really stood out to me. All of the transitions I requested were very important to me (For example, I wanted a specific song playing when I walked down the aisle, when my bridesmaids walked, when the parents were introduced at the reception, etc). I was really nervous that it would be too complciated and something was sure to mess up since I had only gone through it once with Deepak but everything played out without a hitch! Definitely recommend them if you're looking for a wedding dj because they can provide all of the lighting, sound, staging etc but also for general parties because Deepak was able to play music that appeased to all generations (indian music, pop, etc). read more

I hired Deepak of Precision Sound and Lighting for my wedding reception for a 500 person event. I don't have traditional taste in music I was very specific about the type of bhangra and hindi music I wanted and it had to be up to my expectation. We were running short for time and just minutes before start time, he worked with us to get the introduction the schedule and intro music all set up without any mistakes, no names messed up, and he made the event so worry free when we were full of worries. The bhangra team we hired to do a dance was unexpectedly very late and hadn't relayed that message across to us Deepak and his team somehow found their names and numbers through other connections and handled everything on their own they assured me they would get there on time and they took care of all of that. These guys came through when I was in a huge hole. The DJ and lighting/event company for my cousins wedding went MIA the week before the wedding. I had told her to call Precision but she used the group that the hotel recommended. Big Mistake! Anyways Deepak was clutch and came through big time. The venue was 2 hours north of LA and despite traffic and pressing weather conditions, Deepak made it up there and did an amazing job setting up the lights. From the beginning planning stages to the final song played, Deepak was professional, personable, knowledgeable and extremely talented in what he does. We had a party with a mixed crowd, young and old, and from all a variety of backgrounds and he was able to please us all. My kids had picked some songs that I thought had questionable language, phrases etc...and they told me not to worry that they have the cleaned up versions for all of those songs.
