I was extremely disappointed reflecting back at my wedding and my experience with Centerpiecevents and Ron. I was excited to work with him because coincidentally 10 years ago when I was an intern, our company hired him and my managers loved him. I found the entire experience to be confusing, conflicting, and had a lot of bad guest feedback on specially just the DJ and Emcee. I found Ron to be a bit controlling after reflecting and getting feedback from others. //CONSULTATION// My initial consultation was great and I thought it'd be great because of my call with him was so exciting and I felt like I was being taken care of. //COORDINATOR AND RON// Ron had a lot of feedback about my coordinators timeline - he has a lot of experience from weddings which I don't doubt. He didn't agree with her timeline and proposed a new timeline. I was stuck as a middleman and had to relay to my coordinator and he kept asking me to tell her about these changes. This is the last thing I wanted to do the week before and there's a reason why I hired a coordinator. Talk to her directly if you don't agree. I understand I have the final say but it put me in a very awkward position and stressful position. We ended up going with my coordinators timeline and everything worked out very well! Yes we were a bit behind but Ron's recommendation included changing back into my wedding dress again just didn't make sense. I'm so glad I listened to my coordinator. //DAY OF WEDDING// //GROOMSMEN DANCE// In my call with him I explicitly told him that the groomsmen and my bridal party were coming in and doing a dance and NOT walking in like a normal entrance. I also had it clearly written out in the agenda to play the song starting from the beginning 00:00 to 0:33 seconds. See attached image and video you'll see the video starts at the wrong time. The DJ played the wrong start time (started around 0:10 or after) and the guys messed up the entire dance because they choreographed the beginning. The groomsmen messed up - but what irked me the most was I overheard my cousin talking to him about their dance before saying how they were going to enter. Ron goes "I didn't even know you guys were doing a dance". He didn't even listen to my groomsmen and acted like it'll be okay. I clearly told him in my call and him saying that and to have him forget was so unprofessional. He did not do his due diligence in listening to requests and simply forgot. My groomsmen were annoyed and clearly upset at his passive aggressive response to my cousin. It wasn't about the messing up but more the attitude towards my party. //FIRST DANCE PERFORMANCE// We were going to sing this song called Marry You by Bruno Mars and dance to it after our slow dance. I sent him the Spotify version and of course, the song was incorrect. He showed it to me on his computer which weirdly had the right title but started playing Just the Way You are by Bruno Mars. Mistakes happen but he said "yeah this is the right song this is what you sent me!". Sir if you can't tell the difference between the two songs - I'm concerned. Did you even listen to it beforehand? //GAMES// We had a game which was extremely successful! It's the game where everyone pulls a chair up and tries to find items from the crown! However Ron only wanted 6 chairs and my coordinator had to be extra persistent in getting more chairs because It makes the game more fun with more participants. I heard him saying it's usually only this amount but my coordinator pushed for it. I think it made the game more fun anyways. //PLAYLIST// Ron had asked me to send over playlists and I noticed during the reception only like 40% or less of my songs were played when the dance floor opened up. I heard that DJs normally don't follow all the songs because it might ruin the vibe of the crowd but also, I specifically requested those in his request form because I had friends who had come where we have specific memories of these songs. And I went up to Ron and asked him to play this Chappelle Roan song. It was on my list but because they barely played any of my songs I requested it to be sure it was played. He kind of gave me a weird look and said that was supposed to be my last song but okay with Some attitude //OVERALL// I think Ron still brought the energy and aside from those mishaps no one noticed the other things - but unfortunately I didn't get positive vibes from him. I do appreciate that during the event he hyped the crowd up and also got our greeting table done in a timely manner. I would not recommend hiring the DJ and MC for Centerpiec Events. The two ruined some very important moments in the wedding. They didn't know the bride and grooms song and dance, they played the wrong part of the groomens dance for their entrance, the MC specifically went against how many people the bride and groom asked him to get to participate in the games, they were dismissive of any song requests, and didn't play 70% of the songs requested. Honestly, I understand there is some creative aspect to being a DJ, however they played mostly pop songs that were not the vibe of the wedding. You are better going with an iPhone, playlist, and speaker. read more

This is the BEST Dj and MC service in the world! Couldn't recommend enough. A lot of things didn't go well on our wedding but the only one thing that made up for it was deciding on having centerpiece events at our wedding. Ron was phenomenal!!!!!! We fired our lighting and draping vendor one week before the wedding and Ron was able to pull everything together and get us everything we wanted! The party was lively! Everyone was on the dance floor and we got so many compliments. We had Ron and his team did our MC, DJ, lightning, cold sparklers, gobo, draping!!! Everything you can think of, he was able to accommodate. Our venue was a blank slate and Ron was able to put everything together beautifully. He was lively, attentive and helped us throughout the whole wedding!! He prepped he's pretty well, accommodated our last minute requests and changes. He even helped our parents who are in their 70s walked down to the music during our entrance. BEST thing he did was helped us stored EVERYTHING left behind after the cleanup. Our coordinator was terrible, they left everything back and Ron stored it at his warehouse for 2days, he even dropped it off at our house so we don't have to do many transfers. He was the last one to leave the venue making sure everything was picked up so we don't get charged by the venue. His music was sooo great! He added additional speakers bc our venue was so big! He gave us a lot of other complimentary items whenever we mentioned something we saw on IG. He took cared of us like a sibling! He is responsive, we don't think he ever missed a call from us! Looking for a good DJ that will work well with you is important, and Ron definitely has experience in DJ/MCing for weddings. He has several packages available, and depending on your needs he can work with you to customize some of the packages. This is a few months overdue but I've also been trying to figure out other words to post that are "stronger" than fantastic, awesome, unbelievable. Ron and his company made my wedding epic. I do not want to be one of those people who drones on seven pages worth of my experience with centerpiece events so if I meet you on the street, I can explain how wonderful things were in an hour or two. Ron is the friendliest, most knowledgeable, giving and caring MC/Dj/entertainer that I have ever met. I am a nightmare to deal with. I try to control everything and force things to go my way but he stayed focused and patient with me all the way through the wedding. He knew when to shut me out and knew when to put me in my place. He truly is, the professional here and he made that very clear. He is such a class act that by the time the wedding was over I could not have thought of anything I would have changed. All my family loved him. This was a large Filipino wedding overlooking the water in Long Beach and somehow he was able to get people focused, get people engaged, get people to shut up and listen and smile the whole time. Every time I asked him a question when my nerves were jittery, he would just say, "don't worry about it I got this ". I guess looking back I would've changed one thing. I would've just shut my mouth and let him do this himself. He knew exactly what was needed, he knew the timing down to the second, and he knew how to get our wedding to flow without missing a beat. We got married about a week ago and I wanted to share our experience with centerpiece events. I am so happy I went with Ron & his team! They were excellent to work with & I have nothing but great things to say about their team. They were professional, friendly, and RON brought so much energy to our reception as our MC! I still get compliments from family and friends about RON. Weeks and days before our wedding Ron checked in on us, was very involved and interested in knowing what kind of music and style we wanted for our wedding and most importantly he totally killed it with our reception timeline. We only had our wedding photographer for part of night & we mentioned to Ron we had a time crunch & didn't know if we would be able to capture all the wedding activities before our photographer left. Ron totally came to rescue! He went back and re looked at our timeline/checked to see how we can shave off time during certain activities and would suggest us to move different activities earlier. I hired Ron for my niece's cotillion and I worked with him in planning the entire program including putting the music together. Anyone who has been through a cotillion / debut knows what kind of work is put into it. From the smallest detail to the most elaborate one, it takes a person who is not only knowledgeable in this area but also a very organized individual. Ron is all of this and so much more. The easiest decision we had to make during our wedding planning was to hire Ron! On our first meeting, he answered all our questions and was very thorough in giving us all the information we needed for the day of the wedding - And that was before we even signed/agreed to anything! He helped us create a timeline for our wedding day which really opened our eyes as to how much work goes into this event. We met twice to go over timelines, music, photo-booths, and other details. I had quite an extensive list of "do not play" but Ron rose to the challenge and was able to get everyone on the floor and shaking their booties (and our families are not the dancing type, so that says a lot). The day of the wedding, he truly went above and beyond.
