This time when in need, they stepped up and was there for me. Online quote was easy and simple. Be sure to have your cars VIN # for the quote to be as accurate as possible. I shopped around with other glass vendors and not one best Safelite's quote. Appointment was easy to make after the quote and the service tech was communicative and very professional. I chose the mobile service and the glass replacement was done right in my driveway. The technician was on time, friendly, professional, organized and clean. He completed both appointments on my 2 cars in a timely manner. Super organized and cleaned up nicely and provided quality parts and service. Great price compared to other quotes and coupons available but you just have to find them. Only fee you'll see that was questionable was the glass recycling fee of $39.99 which is bogus in my opinion. I called to try to get it waived but they offered a discount so definitely worth a try to call for a better price reduction.

The repair time was supposed to be between an hour and two and he took 2.5 hours and at the end he didn't even complete the service!!!!! They said that they needed to calibrate it and they couldn't and then they wanted me to go to their location which is 35 min away from where I live to then wait for hours because they said they needed at least an hour to see if they can calibrate it. I said beforehand that I needed that to be quick because the only time I had was during my lunch break and there were like 6 people waiting and said it will take hours. WHY ADVERTISE AS A SERVICE THAT GOES TO YOU TO THEN MAKE YOU GO ALL THEY WAY TO THEM AND WAIT FOR HOURS???? AND after all, when I'm there, they say that if I don't do the calibration there, they just don't care because they make you sign a waiver before the do some work in your car. If you're looking for windshield replacement I recommend you finding a company that is near you in case "calibration" cannot be completed. Safelite called immediately, made an appt, and got to my house on time. I have a Macan which meant replacing the windshield and calibrating the camera. They were professional and very sweet. I will tell you that, later in the evening, the rear view mirror fell down. I called and they had someone at my house first thing in the morning. There was a screw that was a bit loose. He fixed it, explained it and showed it to me. It took all of about 8 minutes. They were friendly, professional, and fast. I would highly recommend.

I had to chase them down repeatedly just to get the most basic updates. No one ever reached out proactively. It felt like I was managing the entire process myself while they did... nothing. They also failed to coordinate with my insurance in any meaningful way, which only added more delays and confusion. You'd think a company that does this every day would have that figured out, but apparently not. Request was send in Feb, it is now April, just to order a part and attempt to schedule the service. A month of me calling, following up, and basically begging for progress because they clearly weren't capable of handling it on their own. And then, after all that time wasted, they refused to complete the service, for no valid reason whatsoever. Nothing had changed from the original situation. Same car, same issue, same everything. They just decided not to do the job. To top it off, the on-site staff was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was the inconvenience. No accountability, no urgency, no professionalism. However, immediately after starting my car following the replacement, I received an "Auto Headlights Inoperative" warning -- the same issue another reviewer previously mentioned. I contacted Lazaro regarding the problem, and I was told it was likely just a coincidence, despite never having experienced this issue before the service. He said the the windshield had nothing to do with lights but on certain vehicles its in the rear view mirror called an LRSM(Light Rain Sensor Module) I believe that's something they should be aware of. A technician was sent back out, but the explanation I received was simply that "something must be wrong" and that it "should be a simple fix," without any real resolution or accountability. At that point, I decided to handle the issue myself and pay out of pocket, as I felt my concerns were no longer being taken seriously and the focus was more on closing the job than resolving the problem. I also sensed they couldn't fix it if they wanted to, they probably didn't know how so I wasn't going to waste my time with them anymore. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. If certain vehicles or sensor systems require specialized handling during windshield replacement, technicians should either be properly trained or transparent about any limitations beforehand.
