They came…read moreout to inspect our home and stated that the bathroom exhaust fan contributed to mold in the attic. We had our handyman go up into the attic to check and treat the"mold" and our handyman said there was positively no mold. He even took a video of the attic to show us. Our handyman didn't ask for payment since he wasn't able to treat anything. Another item that Brady & Henderson stated was a defective and dangerous item was the electrical mast where the wires come into the house. This company stated that it was too close to an openable window. We were puzzled as to why the City of University Heights didn't catch this on their point of sale inspection so we asked a licensed electrician to come out and inspect. The electrician inspected and measured and stated that the electrical wires coming into the house were done correctly to code, and there was more than the 3 foot clearance requirement. Again Brady & Henderson was incorrect! Brady & Henderson did a visual inspection of the roof and recommended that the roof be replaced. Replaced? The roof was only 10-12 years old!!! We paid a professional roofing company to actually go up on the roof to inspect. We were told that the roof still had another 10 years. This has got to be the worst home inspection company!

Without their high energy, meticulous professionalism, I would have regretted purchasing the first house. They work in tandem, so you basically get 2 inspectors for the price of one. One will look over a part of the house, take pictures, and then the other follows picking up even more details. The best part for me was the way they went about explaining everything they saw. Dave talked to me for 15-20 minutes because he wanted to understand the problems I was experiencing. One of the problems was two brick encased windows. He let me know he didn't believe he possessed the necessary tools/infrared equipment to definitively diagnose the problems as I explained them. So, he refers me to another home inspector who he believed could provide an economical remedy. Who does this in today's world???? Add Dave Macy to such a list. Dave took the time to listen. He provided suggestions on where to investigate some of the other problems I was experiencing, but he turned the job down. I thanked him for his time, but more importantly for his integrity....since he didn't want to take the chance that his fee would not resolve ALL my concerns. Ironically, the home inspector he referred spoke highly of Dave's work product as a fellow board Certified Master Inspector (CMI).
