My elderly independent disabled family member were purchasing a rent to own Golden Envy GP162 power chair from Federico's. On 07/22/2026 wrote check/check $316.88 cleared next day. Tried using chair 07/24/2026 it was horrible. Chair slid and was unsteady upon trying to sit down, a complete safety hazard. The bad part is Michael the owner was aware of chair condition before selling it. Contacted store same day requested refund Michael said it would be picked up Monday 07/27/2026 and refunded $250. Auntie called on 07/25/2026 to see if he had a Jazzy Air 2 what she originally called for. Said he had one and would send pics, didn't. On 07/27/2026 Golden Envy picked up. Same day provided Michael with refund method info. Michael insisted on card cvv # which isn't necessary for refund. Refund due by 08/03/2026..... no refund. Auntie called Michael on 08/05/2026 at 9:34am. Michael said he needed card info. Card info was provided 2nd time. Auntie called back at 10:51am requested copy of POS refund receipt. Michael said he was at Staples purchasing a printer and would text refund receipt, never did. Auntie called Michael at 4:48pm and for 21 min he said everything from he's getting a money order after work to mail her (she refused a money order), to financial problems all things considered irrelevant to her refund. Then while she was on the phone he sent her a pic and asked why does it say that while he's trying to process. She told him she didn't know. Asked Michael to verify card info then while he was processing she said she was unlocking card (which to process refund it doesn't matter if card locked). They ended conversation. Then Auntie hears Michael tell someone never doing business with her again, complaining and had card locked etc in degrading tone. Michael never communicated anything to Auntie about her refund. Refund of $250 received did not refund $21.88. If Auntie had not kept inquiring about her refund it is a great chance refund would NOT have been processed. Federico's Medical Mobility Supply still owes $21.88 tax refund. Called 08/07/2026 regarding tax refund of $21.88 Michael said he was doing an eye exam. Why would a durable medical equipment (DME) supplier say he's doing an eye exam? Federico's Medical Mobility Supply is NOT recommended as a trustworthy business.

The work was done while I was on site in the waiting area. Very hot day out and they kindly offered a bottle of water which I drank while waiting then eventually battery came back out installed into the housing and I was able to take it with me and in addition sent in images for another scooter that was not being used as an estimate to sell to the shop. Quite a number of accomodations posted and they know their scooter stuff's; so give a call as they do onsite service as well. All in all a good experience

Luis Gomez super nice guy super patient listening to what we had to do helping us to fit and adjust him to his new bedside equipment. Even though my step dad asked him questions over and over Luis remained very professional and very helpful and very caring about my pops well-being. Very good bedside manner seems to be a very caring individual even for complete strangers. He waited for us very patiently well we helped adjust pops in to his chair. The family would like to say an extra thank you to Luis Gomez for having a heart being helpful and patient with us during our brief encounter. You appear to be a great person and a very valuable employee for apria healthcare and their company reputation hinges on guys like you. I sincerely hope that your upper management is able to read this message and at minimum tell you thank you for being an awesome very important part of your company and their reputation for excellent service.
