This was my third sleep test after being diagnosed with sleep apnea. This was the worst experience I've had. Do not use this facility. Unlike other facilities, run by competent companies, the Fullerton facility was not conducive to a comfortable sleep test. Furthermore, communication with the tech was initiated by, at his direction, knocking on my headboard rather than through an intercom. But worse than the foregoing, the tech was incompetent and non-responsive to my requests. Specifically, 1) the tech had no control of the room temperature. At 10:00 pm, the room temp was approximately 68 degrees and comfortable. However, the room temperature kept dropping until it was appropriately 60. I told the tech I needed a blanket -- 2 1/2 hours later he provided one. 2) As a 20 year user of a CPAP machine, I know that inclusion of humidity for CPAP is necessary to prevent sinuses from becoming painfully dry. The tech claimed that most people do not use a humidifier -- this is a blatantly untrue. My sinuses became painful, and sleep was extremely difficult. At approximately 5:00 am I pulled off the mask and notified the tech that sleep was no longer possible. 3) The tech spent 30 minutes, beyond normal setup time, trying to find a problem with a sensor wire (his comment and actions indicated he had been working in the wrong sensor). 4) After starting the test I had to notify him that his pressure setting seemed low. He could not have been monitoring my oxygen level -- he set it at a level that was 1/2 of my normal setting, and made no adjustment until I told him he needed to increase pressure. Didn't know what to expect. Woman who was at the desk and doing the study was very nice, and accommodating. Tv service is limited, but there are work around. Also, no individual climate controls, other than a fan so it gets a little warm in the room. read more

Beware of this Preferred Sleep Solutions! They don't ensure that you sleep enough to get good results. Also, something is fishy with the company. In my case, I normally go to sleep at 1:30am but the appt was scheduled for 8:00pm. They didn't mention I could come later and when I asked about it they said that that was my problem. I didn't really sleep at all during the test, then the technician (Anthony) watching me, came in the room at 5am and said it was over. Anthony even admitted that he couldn't test different machines because I didn't sleep, and said I would probably need to redo the test (at least Anthony was professional). He said he noticed me texting and reading throughout the night. Julie said because I didn't sleep enough they would just give me a fluctuating machine. Heather, who called two days, later talks so fast in her high pitched tone and wouldn't allow me to speak or address my concerns; instead called me rude, argumentative and said I have amnesia (apparently she's said this to others). Now here is the fishy part, Rotha, in the office, said Heather's mgr was Julie. But, Julie laughed and said she wasn't the mgr. The lady Heather who says she's the tech is also the owner. (She never mentioned that. I found out from someone else when I asked to speak to the owner). They have no concern for their clients. Look up their doctor DeSilva and read his reviews. Julie said he will not do office visits, but will allow 5 mins to talk on phone (if it REALLY was Julie, she spoke just like Heather). I asked for a redo and, of course, they said "no". Julie told me "if you get a bad steak, you still have to eat it and pay for it". On a side note, the room was small and clean, but what good is that if they don't test correctly, don't try to fit the correct machine, or don't care to listen to the client's concerns. A decent sleep test should allow half the time for sleep and half the time for fitting to find the best fit and machine. Not all machines or masks work equally on each patient. Heather said my concerns didn't matter because she will get plenty of clients from primary care doctors anyways. She eventually hung up on me. I think it's a business for quick cash and no care. I lost $800.00. Run, don't walk from Preferred Sleep Solutions. Any positive reviews are just for the rooms or the other company that provides the sleep devices. read more

The staff here was very friendly and accommodating--they did their best to make the sleep study, a naturally uncomfortable experience, very pleasant. The rooms are small but comfortable and are kept cool and dark to help facilitate a decent night of sleep. For those who stay through for a daytime study, the staff is very accommodating and do a great job of keeping you fed and comfortable. Some tips for anyone who has not been here before: The rooms do not have private bathrooms but instead share a hall bath that does not have a shower. Because of this, make sure to be completely ready for bed before you arrive and don't plan on showering if you stay through into the next day. read more

Booked an appt 3 months in advance. I proactively reached out for confirmations prior to my appointment. I received a confirmation call two days earlier. I asked specifically for reassurance because my appointment was for the night before Thanksgiving. Rebeka told me emphatically that the appointment was still on. I was relieved because I had to decline family holiday plans because I committed to my appointment. I show up at my appointed time and the building was dark and locked. No cars in the area. I called the number indicated - just the after hours message. I called again to their other locations to see if they were open. Again, only closed messages. Their website & paperwork heavily highlights that there is a $275 cancellation fee for a no show or short notification by the patient. Apparently if Preferred Sleep Solutions no shows on a patient, the patient is only offered a reschedule THREE MONTHS out. They value $$$$ over people. I received a voicemail stating "the tech couldn't make it" and they didn't find out until later that night. The other statements in the voicemail were not totally honest or outright provable deception. If you are considering this company, know that this is not the first time they have cancelled on a patient without notice; there is only a male technician (at least the night I was scheduled) while you are in a most vulnerable situation; emails are not responded to (I have 3 emails waiting a reply) and proceed with caution. I will be contacting my physician, insurance and the regulating body of the facility. read more

Deserves 0 as a grade Pleass have your doctor refer you elsewhere!!! The most unprofessional, least accommodating of Any healthcare entity I have ever had the displeasure of interacting with, and I worked in healthcare for decades and have been in diverse health care situations as a patient. There is absolutely No Consideration for those potential patients who work 2nd of 3rd shifts or who have a circadian rhythm that is anything but farmer's hours. "Preferred" (really???) Sleep solitons in home portion is beyond ridiculous. A tech will place the 28 wires and electrodes ONLY at 8 pm- no later. And they will only disconnect said apparatus at 6 am. They refuse to let patients disconnect the wires, stating "you might break them." What happens is someone thrashes about as they sleep?? This ridiculous process repeats for a 2nd night, unless you want to opt for in lab sleep studies- and you guessed it, you have to arrive at 9:30 pm. No later. I assume they wake you up at 6 am there also. They offer their services only 2 days a week. If you opt for in home, which results in interrupted sleep for about 72 hours. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid getting your sleep study done at a place that is the epitome of Rigid. read more

This sleep study center is top notch! I came by to pick up a home device and the office staff and owner were amazing. They answered all of the questions I had and were just super friendly, mind you this is my first time having a sleep study so I was nervous but again with the staff they had, there were no problems whatsoever and they made me feel secure and comfortable. The process was quick and easy, they demonstrated on how to put on and work the device, everything was very informative. I had to schedule another study but for in lab which is an overnight stay. I was somewhat afraid because I mean I never stayed anywhere alone, but as soon as I got there, I was greeted by the night tech and they were also friendly and made me feel comfortable again while they were explaining the process on what they were going to do. Their rooms looked like a hotel stay which was cool, there are TV's in the rooms which was a plus because it helps me fall asleep. Terrifying experience. Dirty facilities, sheets, carpet, pillows all SMELLED and some stains. No ventilation. They lie and do not clean fully. The staff had no idea what they were doing. Completely Unprofessional. Please spend the extra little money and get a real sleep study facility, sleep apnea is a very serious thing and you need the proper health clean place who can help you through it. NOT HERE. The staff and "owner" accused me of being rude. Oh boo hoo, little girls are employed there and not mature professionals. There was no respect or customer care. This test/study was for my sister who has special needs. I am glad my health plan canceled this appointment for me. My technician answered all my questions and took the time to explained the entire process, making sure I knew exactly how to work the sleep data machine. What a negative experience, the attendant was handling 3 people and acted like she didn't want to be there. She barely communicated and offered nothing in terms of really anything....the appt ended an hour earlier than the quoted time which is funny considering how many times you get told about penalties and such. No offer of coffee or anything at 5 wake up, light on, fill out this form and leave. Comfortable bed and nice tv make it two stars but what a lousy experience. read more

I was very hesitant to have a sleep study done considering the times we are currently living in, but the team at this place made me feel super at ease. My doctor referred me to preferred sleep to have a sleep study. I wasn't sure how this process worked and will admit to feeling a bit intimidated by the stories I heard and reading some of these comments. However; all of my fear and doubts were put to rest after scheduling my appointment and having the scheduler explain the study process to me and what I was to expect on the night of my study. She took the time to answer all of my questions, even if they didn't make sense. Scheduling the appointment was an easy process, and the front office staff are always very friendly and polite whenever I call. Once it came time for my sleep study, I arrived to the facility on time and was greeted by a technician. The technician was friendly and walked me through the process as I was making myself comfortable in my own private room. I felt at ease and safe. I didn't even mind all the wires that were connected to me. Once the study was over, I helped myself to the complementary coffee and granola bars they have in the front lobby. My overall experience was excellent and I will recommend this place to my family and friends. read more

It was recommended by my doctor to have a new sleep study since it had been a few years since my last one. It was easy to make an appointment and they where flexible with my work schedule. My sleep study experience was great and I was pleased with the 2 technicians that helped me, the room was nice and clean and they have Sleep Number beds!!!! I was worried about my sleep since it was away from home, but no worries; I slept Great! A few days later I was given my results and they helped me in the process of getting a new CPAP machine. Arrived at 9:20 pm for a 9:30 check in. One car in parking lot and very dark. I got out of my car and went to the doors in front and back which were locked and no answer. I was already feeling unsafe alone in a dark parking lot, than freaked when a strange man started to walk past the facility on the street. So I went back to my car and locked it. I saw that strange man approach the back side of the facility and I felt scared and very uncomfortable to leave my vehicle again. I called the number on the papers and it was the Fullerton facility whom said she would call the supervisor to let the technician at this upland office know and to open the door so I could come in. A male gentleman called me and said I was half hour late and that's when I said I was there early and was waiting for almost 40 min now as it was close to 10 PM and I was scared in this parking lot. I also asked if only one person is in the facility working and that being himself. He told me that it was just him working and I felt even more uncomfortable to go inside to do a sleep study with one technician and no other patients. Sorry my safety comes first and very disappointed the place doesn't feel safe at night. Plus only one worker and that stranger that approached the place. Forget it. I asked to reschedule at the Fullerton location and he told me I'd be charged 250 for missing my appointment. Not professional. Maybe even planned to make money off people and not give them a study. I came home very upset because I have bad sleep apnea and need to figure out why. I feel the supervisor didn't care enough to call and or set up a new appointment, as I was willing to drive straight to Fullerton, and said I'd be charged 250 dollars. I had a scheduled appointment to speak to the doctor about my sleep study and to discuss options to help me sleep better; but I had no desire to wait more than half an hour in an empty waiting room without an option to reschedule. "The doctor will be here in just a few minutes," turned into over wastes 30 minutes. I respect emergency situations but I expect my time to be respected as well. My neurologist referred me here. Place was very clean and technician was superb. Nathaniel is the one who gave me my machine. He never told me to call for supplies. He explained the sleep report. At NO time did I see a doctor. It's been a year and I called because my strap broke and asked for new nasal pillows. I hot glued my strap and after a month I called to ask about my supplies. They had just arrived. I picked up nasal pillows a head strap and some fabric that goes on the straps. I was so excited because I had called/texted Nathaniel about my cheeks reacting to the silicone. He said impossible, you have it to tight. My regular doctor said I was reacting because the skin was raw and peeling. I would know if it's too tight, if loose the nasal pillows fall right out of your nose. The fabric covering helped immensely. I saw they billed 3100$ for that. I called and asked why. They said oh, we are sending you a water tank replacement. After talking to my insurance and reading about it the nasal pillows are supposed to be replaced once a month. Nathaniel would always be sunburnt and in thongs and would make excuses. At the river, in Cabo. I think his wife owns it and he plays doctor. Very unprofessional. Ok, truth be told: I didn't want a sleep study, "nothing is wrong with me, I sleep fine". But boy was I wrong SMH. Ok let's start, the nice lady who called me to schedule my appointment was nice and courteous, she took the time to let me chunk which days worked for me and so on. Now, with my arrival: fairly easy to find (thanks Wazes). Once I walked in the door, my first thought was "alright, they have coffee" haha seriously though, the tech was really nice. She (wish I could remember her name) did everything to make me comfortable, asked me if I needed anything, and so on, very friendly. The study it self, well I felt like a guinea pig, but none the less, not bad at all. Once done, I was gently woken up and was offered some coffee, so extra points there. Had an overall great experience here. Amy was great handling my insurance and paperwork during the day. Heather was very nice and returned my phone call in two minutes after I called her at 8:32 PM about a concern with my appointment. Cassandra (the night sleep tech) was very calming, which was much appreciated during my sleep study. They even had Sleep Number beds! I have never slept on a Sleep Number bed.
