Appointments don't mean much when you have a walk in appointments that are shuffled in between. They probably need to book less appointments. My experience here was great. I made an appointment online which was really easy to do. I checked in and upon 5 minutes, I was called in for my turn. I was there for a standard blood draw ordered by my healthcare provider. Let me tell you, I hate needles and they make me so anxious. However, I barely felt the needle at all and the lady who did my blood draw was an expert. I can tell she was good because she was quick and I barely felt anything. She was friendly and nice and it made my experience great. Wish I got her name. Parking was plentiful. read more

I had one of the most frustrating experiences here. I was doing a 24-hour collection and nobody ever told me that I would need an appointment just to drop it off. So I show up ready to turn in my sample, only to be told that I can't drop it off without an appointment. They insisted I had been told this--spoiler: I wasn't. When I asked what to do with the sample in the meantime, I was told to "just keep it as is." So I clarified, "Can I leave it in my car while I go to work?" Suddenly, that was a problem too: "No! It needs to be refrigerated." Another crucial detail that nobody told me upfront. This is just one example of how poorly they communicate and how little they prepare you for what's actually required. I went home and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. I show up, check in, and wait 16 minutes past my appointment time. When they finally call my name, it's the same woman from the day before. She takes the sample from me in less than 5 seconds. That's it. That's all that needed to happen. Tell me--why couldn't she have done that the day before, especially since my name was on the sample and someone even offered to give me their appointment slot (which they wouldn't accept)? It's clear that Quest is more concerned with rigid, inefficient policies than actually helping people. The whole experience was a waste of time, energy, and patience. Before coming here, do not let the Indian lady lab tech take your draws. I have had 2 separate family members come at different times and both times she dug with the needle to find the vein and failed. She is horrible and should not be working there. Beware! read more

The new world of lab testing centers not an issue for people accustomed to computers but people like my 80 year old mother had difficulties checking in, so she had to call me to come aid her with the checkin process. As there is no front office to assist or a bell to ring for those with questions. Regarding the quality of care the phlebotomy technicians are nice but clients have to wait outside hoping a technician comes out from behind a secured locked door. read more

Shout out to Veland, my lab guy! He was very welcoming and made me feel at ease. I made an appointment at 6:30am and didn't have to wait. Just remember if you pickup/drop off a sample, you need to make an appointment (it's just the rules). Also if you have an appointment and you're even a minute late, you'll be treated as a walk-in. It says it on their website. Also the hours on Yelp are incorrect. They actually open at 6am. read more

I love how they made is super simple to get lab work down. There a table once you walk in self serve. All you need is your ID and insurance card. Then you wait in the lobby to get called in. No more than 10 minutes for everything. There is plenty of parking so no worries if you are running late. read more

This place use to be great. Now they overbook and are always running late. The allow walk in patients which I get but, do not take them before a scheduled appointment. If there's no room, sorry but come back and make an appointment, they also allow incompetent people who forget things to leave and come back when the instructions given say bring your ID AND INSURANCE/lab work receipt. This backs things up severely.... I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled time and there was no one here to be seen. I sat alone in the lobby for over 10 minutes all well being checked in and they knew I was here. But they still didn't take me and they ended up taking me 15 minutes after my appointment time Because of being overbooked.. The technician who took my blood was very nice and admitted they always overbook. I will never be back, I make an appointment for a reason and should not be expected to wait. read more

I come here for all my lab work when needed and if I'm being honest, each visit has been quick and a positive one. I've never had any lab work issues with Quest. I did come in as a walk-in a few weeks ago on a early Friday morning. I waited about an hour, which to me was fine considering I did not make an appointment and needed to get my lab work done asap. I needed a 3hr glucose test done and I couldn't have been more satisfied with my experience. They were very caring about my well being, they'd check on me consistently as I waited in the waiting room. I wish I didn't feel the need to give a bad review because I obviously love supporting businesses. I am honestly glad this location is closing. When I came in for my appointment, a man came and asked how to schedule for his wife. He was so polite. He remained polite throughout the entire encounter with the receptionist, who was rude, short, and wouldn't even turn to face him. When it came time for my blood draw, I had only waited about 15 minutes which is not too bad considering I had made an appointment. My phlebotomist was friendly. She also did not know what she was doing. She made a comment about how she was wondering why my blood wasn't coming out because I "claimed to have drank a lot of water in the morning." After she was done digging through my arm and leaving with me with bruises, she made a comment about, "Oh that's why. I didn't tie the tourniquet tight enough." As she was untying the tourniquet. My next follow up is scheduled for the quest in Fullerton. Hopefully they are better. read more

If I could give a negative star I would. I had to do a 2 hour insulin resistance test, and prior the visit, my doctor had warned me that Quest lab has messed up many of their orders, and I need to make sure they do it correctly. Having that in mind, I called my doctor while I was having my blood drawn, and the phlebotomist reassured me that it was done correctly. While I was in the waiting room, I've witnessed many unhappy customers because it was hard to get ahold of someone. Since there's no receptionist, people would have to wait until one of the phlebotomist comes out for an opportunity to talk. Because of this, I tried to be extra understanding and was very patient with the phlebotomists, even after finding out that they have messed up my 2 hour glucose/insulin test. When my doctor informed me that Quest lab called and informed them that the results were invalid, I went back to the location to double check what went wrong. I could only do it in person because there was no way to reach the location by phone or email. The phlebotomist said they would figure it out and asked me to wait. When they called the lab, not sure what was exchanged, she looked a bit puzzled when she hung up, but still said to me everything was done correctly, so it's up to my doctor to see if they want me to redo it. I was beyond frustrated that no one was taking accountability, so I called Quest to confirm what happened. Turns out, the phlebotomist at this location mislabeled my blood test, and that's why it became invalid. Since they have this information, I think the same thing was said to the phlebotomist but she chose to not give me the information because they were the ones who messed up. Not only did they waste hours of my time, I also had to redo the 2 hour resistance test all over again. If you need to find a quest lab, I'd highly suggest to go to another location. read more

Arrived at scheduled time, 5 people in waiting area. 10 minutes passed and there were 25 people in small waiting area, standing room only, no social distancing. So I go stand by, waited over an hour and then finally a real person comes out and I asked them how stand by works and they said if someone cancels then they can take you in that spot. It's not like they try to work you in. I had waited so long so I opted to leave. Waiting room floor is really dirty. Look under the end tables it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. This place has always been my to go to lab but my recent experience has been terrible with them. Customer service sucks. Our appointment was at 10:40 and we checked in 10:55 apparently missed it by 1 min. We had to wait 3 hours as a walk in and we were number 1 on the walk in list since we checked in. The person that works there was very mean and made sure not to take us back even tho there was no one coming in for their appointment. She made sure to wait for them to take them and keep us waiting. It's like they penalized us for being 2 mins late than cut off time. After the long wait we finally get called in and they were too lazy to find the order in their fax and made us all worried that they don't have it. Finally someone double checked and found it. Then they started training a newbie on all the paperwork while we're in the room. I'm sorry but we have no patience for this kind of carelessness and laziness. Working in the health filer requires some professionalism and care. This place lacks it and I wonder if the supervisor or manager knows how lazy the employees are. The Quest Lab at Yorba Linda and Rose was a little hard to find due to previous locations still being on maps, but once I found it was in the 99 cent store plaza next to Subway it was easy. I always find little issues with places like this. But considering that quest is highly involved with online appointments and check in features, it's actually easy once you know how to work the system. I always use the quest app on my phone to set up an appointment. It's easier than the online platform in my opinion. Additionally the iPad at the check-in counter is easy to navigate. Just make sure you have your confirmation number, photo ID and your insurance card. I saw at least two walk-ins who said they were waiting for 2 hours. I wouldn't recommend a walk-in at this location. Don't forget, they still have the mask policy in place at this location. Removing one star, as there have been a few times, where I had to wait beyond 20mins, even though I had an appointment. read more

I dislike needles, and due to my tiny veins, I requested for butterfly needle. Jasmine is very professional, she gave me a heat pack for my arm where she gonna extract my blood. Their address, which I put into Google maps for directions, took me to the back door. I walked in and got yelled at that I wasn't supposed to be there because it was the employee entrance. (Maybe they could have a sign and shouldn't have that door open) I went around to the front entrance. One of the 2 check in kiosks was broken, the other one was missing the tray part to place your ID on, which made the scanning difficult. About 7 people in the waiting area. After checking in, it was about 20 minutes before someone came out. They were running an hour late with the appointments. What's the point in making an appointment? They need to get it together, maybe hire more people to function efficiently. Some people have to do bloodwork fasting, so waiting an hour when you have an appointment is unacceptable. I came in as a walk in at 8 am and still have not been seen. There has been only about 3 people in the waiting room since I've been here. Mind you, some have an appointment and are seen right away. Whenever I have asked how long it will be to be see , they quickly give me a response and say soon. There's no one to ask anything until they call someone back. There is a lady who needs to just drop her urine off and has been waiting for 2 hours since they have told her she needs to register herself. And although she's done it, they won't even accept her sample until She get called up. As a walk-in, do yourself a favor and go to the one off of harbor in Fullerton. The waiting room is full if people but it goes by quick. I feel like this place the phlebotomist mainly steps out for the ones that have appointments and overlook the walk ins. I have the worst needle phobia - it's horrible. I get irritable and anxious a few days prior and will not sleep the night before. It's something I've dealt with since I could remember and I feel like it's only gotten worse. I bought buzzy that is supposed to help and I guess it helps a bit but it really is up to who you're phlebotomist is and today I had Becky. She was so sweet and helpful. She gave me a tip to put buzzy in my hand and it did distract me more than how it is recommended to be used. She was kind and patient and checked in with me. Honestly this was the least painful one I've had and I will be coming back to this location and also calling in to request Becky. I went to quest yesterday for a blood draw. The the wait was super short and those check in machines are really convenient! The man who took my blood, I think it was Kenneth, was so sweet and helpful! I have a terrible needle phobia and he talked me through everything and made me feel more at ease. Unfortunately I still started to pass out but he was calm and helped me lay down and get some water and an ice pack.
