As I am hitting my mid 40's I had some dark spots developing that I wanted to get checked out. I found out they are some small harmless seborrheic keratoses that were developing and not any type of skin cancer. I wanted to see what my options were for treatment so my primary doctor recommended EncoreDermatology. First visit and treatment was in 2021, and had scheduled this follow-up a year later for an additional procedure. EncoreDermatology is located off W. Henderson Road and Gettysburg Road. For driving landmarks, Gettysburg Road is located just past the Northwest Shopping Center and before the WestBanco building on Henderson. EncoreDermatology has it sown parking lot for the building with plenty of parking. Currently, I use EncoreDermatology for these annual services, but I could not imagine choosing any other provider for the procedure. I would also consider the location for additional procedures as well based on my two experiences here.

When he saw my wounds he diagnosed my condition and formed a game plan, he and I worked together for 2 1/2 years and finally got it under control. While working on my wounds Alopecia came into the picture so now we are working on this issue. Dr. Kaffenberger has always been patient and attentive, I never felt rushed in any of my visits. Dr. Kaffenberger and his staff have also been very supportive and helpful, I've never had a long wait to be seen, the office is always clean. When my prescriptions are priced beyond what I can afford the office works with manufacturers to get the price within reason or at no cost to me. I have some skin issues, including cancer, in my family history so I agreed and scheduled the appointment with the referred dermatologist. Upon scheduling, I really appreciated that the staff asked whether I preferred a male or female doctor. Knowing that my entire body was going to be examined with a magnifying glass, I opted to have a female doctor. Leading up to my appointment, I received a reminder in the mail, a call, and messages in my MyChart account. Loving all that outreach! I arrived to find a giant parking lot in the back of the building, which is where I was advised to enter the office. I got there and was immediately checked in, paid my copay, and took a seat in the waiting room. It was clean (even the restroom) and at first, I was a little nervous that I'd be waiting a while. There was a good number of patients waiting to be seen. No worries though, because I was taken back to a room right on time. The nurse was super friendly and explained the process to be while confirming my medications and whatnot. After changing into a gown, the doctor and nurse came in and began my exam. It went by very quickly, everyone was very professional, and I felt comfortable from start to finish. Questions were answered, and I was told that everything looked good... what a relief! I was told that I should be checked about every two years and that they would reach out to me to schedule when the time comes. Jeez, thanks for making this so easy for me!
