I was a patient here about 10 years ago and was told I had a dairy allergy. Based on that diagnosis, I cut out dairy and made major life changes. Recently, I went to a new allergist who retested me, and it turns out I do not have a dairy allergy at all. I do not often take time to post reviews, but my experience with Dr. Latall and his staff necessitates that I do. I have now been treated four times in Dr. Latall's office, twice by him, and twice by a Physician's Assistant, Emily Reinhold. Each and every time has been a terrific experience. Dr. Latall is charming, gracious, and clearly knowledgeable. He is also extremely generous with his time. To figure out the my issues, he asked what had to be a half-hour's worth of questions, seeming not only highly interested in my responses (often asking follow-up questions), but also genuinely intent on getting me the breathing relief I sought. I do not think that, in all my years seeing physicians, I have ever experienced one with Dr. Latall's outstanding bed-side manner. And I LOVE the fact that it is easy to park in his office's lot. I should also note that PA Emily is also very good at what she does. She could not be more caring, gracious, knowledgeable and professional. I also have to admit being a little dazzled by the high tech equipment in Dr. Latall's office -- he is clearly invested in bringing relief to his patients. Most importantly, Dr. Latall has solved my own breathing issues, issues that several other physicians could not. While I have had very good and not-so-good experiences in the offices of other physicians, every time to Dr. Latall's office has been a 10 out of 10 experience. I use to think this place was great! Great Doctors! Dr. Siegel and Dr. Finneke are awesome, the medical staff is awesome, but some of the receptionist are the rudest people to be on the phone with at the Lincoln Park clinic! This more than once, That I've been on the phone and the receptionist is unprofessional! They just hang up on you like nothing, and the clinic is quick to ask for money or make excuses like your insurance " didn't pay us " ! I'm now uncomfortable in wanting to step a foot in that clinic! I've complained about the receptionist's rudeness, and it's still the same unprofessional customer service! I will be looking for a new immunologist so I won't have to go to Premier Allergy and Asthma clinic anymore! Great doctors but unprofessionalism runs high in that clinic! read more

Not happy that the doctor doesn't listen to me. I had been sick several times. They recommended waiting to see if I get sick again to have an immunity test. Well I got sick again, so I had to make another trip to the office under their time constraints to do the test. This could have been avoided if the doctor listened to me when I was there for the appointment just a month ago. They wouldn't forget to charge my insurance and send me the bill but they forgot to listen to the patient and make them go the extra mile for medical care. read more

This was one of the smoothest doctor visits I have ever had. I came in for the first time and the front desk staff was very efficient and friendly. I waited maybe five minutes and was taken back by Lindsey who conducted my back and then arm testing. Then I saw Ms. Siegel who went through everything in great detail with me, from results to testing to future treatment options. I was very impressed with the care I received and would recommend this to anyone that has allergy testing. This has nothing to do with the doctor or with the actual health staff...they might be great at what they do....this is more related to the administrative side of the clinic Called them and asked if they take my insurance..they said yes, took the day off and went there to discover they actually don't accept my insurance and they offered me the option of paying cash....what a nightmare....now I lost a CTO day, effort and time ...because someone on the other side of the phone was to eager to bring me in....I had to fight off the sunk cost fallacy since I took the day off for this but I couldn't get myself to reward their failure with becoming one of their clients. If you call them, make sure those guys on the phone are actually listening. read more

I didn't even get in the office. I messaged with my insurance info and date of birth on Tuesday (right after having an anaphylaxis response) to see if they took my insurance. I got a call back the next day with no specifics and then called them back today Thursday. The front desk person said she needed permission from the patient to look up insurance and I reminded her that I had specifically asked for that in my original message and had already provided my insurance ID and date of birth. She said they'd have to look that up and I'd have to wait til next week. Not what I want to hear when I have life threatening allergies and no epi pen. read more

Listen to me. They will talk about your personal life here. They ensure reviews like this are taken down as they fear EXPOSURE of their parasitic habits. The staff is unseasoned and unprofessional. They literally discussed a man's cocaine habit with each other. The guy has sinus issues, it's not my business at all to overhear the root of his sinus issue is a Coke habit.They mocked him saying "well maybe if you stopped snorting coke your sinuses would be in tact" .. out by the receptionist desk! Another young man admitted to smoking marijuana apparently and they referred to him as "pot head" There is a lack of maturity and seasoning here. Patient confidentiality is NOT respected. I cannot support a business like this and YELP needs to allow this review. They continue to take down negative reviews which is not fair to those who trust in them. read more

I hate everything about allergy testing and shots. But I love everything about Dr. Latall and his amazing team. They are none non-judgmental and kind and so reassuring. I was referred to them by an old co-worker who had nothing but positive things to say. I love the office so much I referred my fiancé to their team and he agrees with how great they are. I've never once felt uncomfortable or treated unkind. I've been going to them for over a year for asthma treatment and allergy shots. My health has improved and I always feel safe when I am there. read more

Exceptional staff and outstanding physician. Staff is courteous, knowledgeable, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. Dr. Latall is amazing--one of the few physicians I have encountered who truly cares about his patients and will take the time to ensure they recover. He is brilliant in his specialty also and is not afraid to work on a challenging case, when others prefer to abdicate. He once told me "I won't be better until you get better." If you plan to take allergy shot! The hours are very confusing and you have to arrive 30 minutes earlier before they close. The funny thing is they did't write that down on their schedule, you have to count it every time your self. If you have very busy schedule like me, take this into account. it's very annoy that if you spend half hour to get there and they said they won't take you because you are four minutes late. I understand that being on time is important but I drive me crazy that you have to count time every time before you arrive, especially allergy shot need to be taken every werk and will last half a year! read more

Care is good but I am not happy with the way the clinic is managed. There have been several times when the clinic has had "modified" hours and is randomly closed early mornings and evenings. It's very frustrating for people that can only come during those hours. I don't feel the notifications of modified hours are clear. This week I checked the website Monday to make sure the clinic was open Wednesday morning and of course there was modified hours when I got there. I don't think it's very respectful of patients to continuously have modified hours of service. Especially when shots are required so frequently. read more

I have to say that I completely agree with the rest of these Yelp reviews. Allergy testing can be long, painful, and expensive. Everything from the facility, staff, etc. was so wonderful and comforting. They plainer every little thing to me so that I knew what to expect. I'm so glad my PCP referred me to Dr. Latall and his staff. The day after I made an appointment for my new-patient appointment, their admin staff called back to walk through my explanation of benefits and help me understand my out of pocket costs. I was floored! Though this should be the industry standard, it is not. Premier Allergy is probably the best medical group I've ever gone to. I see generally see a PA, Eileen, and she has been super helpful! For the first time, I feel like I have my allergies under control. She always gives me a few options for treatment and will take the time to answer all of my questions. They always have appointments available at convenient times if you work a 9-5 job. When my insurance tried to deny coverage for a certain treatment, the office took care of everything. I really feel like I'm being cared for. If you're struggling with allergies, there is nowhere else in Chicago you should go to. read more

I've been getting allergy treatment with Dr. Latall and his staff for about 6 years and they are consistently great. Dr. Latall is warm and caring and takes his time listening, figuring out, and explaining the options. He and his (sadly now departed) PA worked with me over the years to develop a protocol to manage my symptoms. Staff are helpful and invite specific requests to make frequent shots more painless. The only drawback, which is not much of one, is that Dr Latall is very careful and adheres to a specific protocol of treatment which includes some things I consider unnecessary (breathing test at each medical appointment regardless of absence of asthma or breathing problems) however I have been able to negotiate a reduction in frequency over time to our mutual satisfaction.) read more

From the receptionist to the medical assistant to the PA (Kinzie)....everyone is very professional, nice and makes you feel welcomed. I've been with Dr. Latall for over 15 years and when he moves I move with him. You will never find a physician with a better bed side manner - though young/middle age (and handsome I might add) he's old school. He makes you feel like you are the only patient scheduled for the day. He is very thoughtful, genuinely caring and attentive. And of course very knowledgeable! :) As part of his staff he has Physician Assistant (PA) Kinzie Sharp that is a compliment to the team, she is fantastic - she's very knowledgeable and the quality of care you get from her is consistent with what I would expect. The staff makes small talk with you and the medical assistant is very supportive when you have to take those breathing test (which I hate) - they are very encouraging, patient and cheer you on to blow out more candles. I took my 4-year-old for allergy and asthma test yesterday, and we both had a great experience. The staff and Dr. Latall are beyond friendly. Needless to say I was nervous for my daughter to go through all of the testing, but everyone made me (and her!) feel so at ease. There was some waiting, but it was worth it, and there's nothing worse than feeling like a doctor doesn't have enough time for you. The staff at Premier Allergy, Asthma and Sinus Care are truly EXCEPTIONAL! The customer service each staff member provides is outstanding and I am always so impressed with the consistency of their performance -- they go above and beyond. I have been going in to the office weekly over the last six months and the team members are very attentive, friendly, and accommodating. They genuinely care about their patients and take the time to get to know them. The staff members always reply to any of my calls and messages on the patient portal in a timely manner. The office hours allow for a lot of flexibility and I also love that there's Wifi available so I can complete work emails on my laptop while I am in the waiting room. Called three times in one day and they kept putting me on hold and never actually talked to me.

I had a wonderful experience with this team. I called the other day explaining that I was having an allergic reaction to something and they accommodated me on the same day. Within the next hour, they called me letting me know that they spoke with my insurance and they told me exactly what would be paid out of pocket and what the insurance covered. When I got there, I didn't wait more than a couple minutes. Every single person I spoke with there (even on the phone) was very attentive, helpful, friendly and they were extremely thorough during my checkup. I did a bunch of allergy tests and they took time explaining everything they were doing and anything the noticed they explained even when I didn't ask. I told them that I was starting my family planning so they were very careful with the medication that they prescribed. This was by far the best visit I've ever experienced with a medical team. They were focused on making me feel better immediately (I didn't sleep well the past few nights, but I already stopped itching the same day) and they're giving me a plan for allergen management. I'm very happy I found them! The PA I went to see was Eileen Davidson? But really EVERYONE - the receptionist, the lady on the phone, the assistant to the PA and Eileen were all awesome. read more

Everything is great except their hours. I wish they could stay open until 7:30 and/or add another early day or occasional Saturday. Especially when they cancel the 7:00 AM start time on Fridays. They should make it up another day. read more

This is a great place to go for allergies that cause respiratory problems. I am very grateful to Dr. Latall for catching the allergic asthma that a previous allergist had missed for 3 years! He also caught a rare genetic disorder that I had that was affecting my lungs and liver, and also was affecting the lungs and livers of 3 of my family members. My one complaint was that they did not carry the serum for a rare allergy I have, so I was not able to transfer my allergy shots here, but this should not be an issue for most people. Dr. Kinzie Bashline is also wonderful. read more

I have visited many allergist throughout the years and this place is the best of the best. I can't say anything but positive things about this place. First, the receptionist is on top of her game, everything was done online and when I forgot to answer a couple of questions she had called me to confirm my answers. The best was with my insurance, usually we are responsible for knowing what is covered and what isn't but this place did it all for me. She called me to explain what will be covered so there wouldn't be any surprises. My actual appointment was a lot of fun. I was extremely lucky to have Chelsea take care of me and she is the best. I have had a few allergy tests done in the past and the testing here is nothing like I have done before, it was super quick and painless (to me). Come to find out, I have to start getting shots again and thes best part is they already broke down what would be covered and how much everything will cost according to my insurance.
