From 2011, I worked with Dr. Friedman (and Dr. Siddiqui), to treat my allergies, sleep issues, some extensive surgeries that were not pleasant (but necessary) and I can tell you I am in a much better place than I was in 2011. He extended my life for sure. My dentist made an observation about a growth in my throat and I got in with Dr. Friedman the very next day and Dr. Friedman told me everything was fine. When you see Dr. Friedman, know that you will get the best possible care and as you move forward in your journey to wellness. It is also important to do you part, be informed, discuss and backup your viewpoints and collaborate with Dr. Friedman. Dr. Friedman will ALWAYS ALWAYS listen to you (you will not be rushed when you see him) and he will always provide you with the best care.

I have now spent weeks trying to understand why billing statement shows insurance provided payment, yet insurance shows no claims. I'm still trying to get my copayment refunded along with making sure insurance didn't pay either, even with statement showing insurance did make payments. The additional patient billing was apparently waved, via a verbal call back after I notified insurer. I asked for statement showing this and that my copayment was reimbursed, but still haven't seen that. And still never a mention of diagnosis nor treatment. Just contacted on billing. Absolutely an abhorrent medical provider experience.

In the room with me, Dr. Siegel said that cancellation was no big deal, and pressured me to schedule when I wasn't sure my work schedule could acomodate. He made it sound like cancellation happens all the time, and it's not a big deal to reschedule. When I informed them on the phone I couldn't make it (3 days notice) they informed me I would be paying $500 for the privilege or receiving nothing. They then pointed to their disclaimer forms. Since I did not record my appointment, I have no way to prove it, but I was mislead by the physician in this case. When I eventually found another specialist, and mentioned my negative experiences with Dr. Siegel they just said, "Yeah, we hear that all the time."

After a thorough examination, a round of medication and another exam, Dr. Siegel recommended surgery. I totally concurred. Supported by a wonderful surgical team at Northwestern, Dr. Siegel performed a number of "-tomys" and "-plastys." As a layperson, I told friends and family that my sinuses had been "roto-rootered." In the months since surgery, I've had several follow-up visits with Dr. Siegel. The staff at Midwest ENT is terrific; clearly, they're a reflection of how Dr. Siegel practices medicine. I'm no longer a mouth-breather, my sleep has improved dramatically, and my wife swears my snoring has stopped. Thank you, Dr. Siegel! Ps. With respect to criticisms about wait times, get over it. Quality medical care requires time and attention to detail. I'm enormously grateful to be on the receiving end of it!

Though the Pazio institute is in Chicago I've never had a problem getting the care I need from so far away. I began care because of a history of slight energy problems, memory issues, a history of many concussions (likely linked with the aforementioned) and a desire to optimize my health. That being said I am and was a very active healthy person with a diet that was super dialed in. I'm also a doctor in a health field so I have a good background to work from. I felt very comfortable choosing Dr. Alex for this reason. There are so many things That have impressed me about The Pazio Institute including: the diverse and expansive background Dr. Alex has in all realms of health, the wholistic foundation of the office, the helpful/knowledgeable staff, and Dr. Alex's warm personality and sincere interest in helping his clients. He truly is an incredible human being and doctor! The results of my health optimization journey so far have included: chelating out heavy metals (we discovered I had high levels of lead), I've optimized my supplements to make sure I'm getting all the nutrients I need and not storing problematic things I don't need (We discovered a couple of mild/common genetic anomalies that can be easily managed if monitored), and I did a mental acuity test to see if all area of my brain are functioning properly after having several concussions in my life. All of the care has resulted in me having more energy, better memory, and I don't have to worry about a high chance of getting Alzheimer's now.
