Very disappointed - tried getting a statement from a past year from this credit union - I now live away from Southern California & not a member; even though the year is recent they wanted to charge me an hourly fee for me to receive the statements. Been with them for over 20 years was a few points away from the lowest interest rate on vehicle which I've always received. Denied me the lowest rate even after talking to a corporate manager explaining my long term relationship with them with no late payments and always above 750 score and all the vehicles I've gotten with them. Made no difference they didn't help at all. ALSO they have been telling me for over 6 months at least that there connection issue with quickbooks will be fixed. It's an important issue for a lot of people who run there business through quickbooks. Same excuse month after month that they are working on it. The list goes on, I too will be pulling all my accounts when I get a chance this bank has gone down hill. The worst branch that you ever go through just a simple deposit and cash back it takes 30 minutes to do the transaction. Everything is guven the acct. no and still the teller was not able to find my acct. What is wrong is the teller not paying attention" AETAN" the tellers name not paying attention keeps on chatting with co workers while doing transaction on my acct. that's why he cant do it fast and accurately, last time again he put the transaction in my other acct. for you guys out there if you have other choice skip camarillo branch!!!! I am very upset with Premier America Credit Union. I have been a member for many years, going all the way back to when it was Point Mugu and then Pacific Oaks. I saw on my September statement that I was charged a fee of $10 for being below the minimum balance on my checking account. I have never been charged before and had no idea there was a minimum balance requirement on my account. I called and was told that I had an interest bearing checking account that required a $1500 balance. In the past the $10 fee had been waived without my knowledge. He agreed to reverse the fee but it would be charged in future months. I asked why I was not notified of this fee and he said the branch should have notified me. I never received anything indicating there would be a monthly charge for being below $1500. The representative told me they do have a non interest checking account with no fee and to go to the branch to change the account. I just left the branch and was told I could change the account but it would be with a different account number. This would be a huge hassle for me as I have numerous sources of income being automatically deposited to this account. I also have it set up to auto pay several different credit cards. The branch said they could help with the auto deposits coming from the Fed such as SS. However I'm an independent contractor and have many deposits set up with small companies that they cannot help me with. I remember how difficult it was to notify all the companies when the routing number changed after the credit union merger a year or so ago. So I'm now looking at closing my account. If I have to go through the hassle of setting up new direct deposits and auto payments with a new account number I might as well go to another bank or credit union. I can't believe they want to start charging me if I go below $1500 and without any notification. Surely regulations don't allow this. If I do keep $1500 in the account, the interest is only about $.25 a month. It's just not worth it. Jason H. I can't seem to get to your profile to send a Private Message. Extremely rude service. I called to ask about my account at a bank that was sold and bought by Premier America. I understand that I forgot to change my address on my child's account so I never received any notification that the bank was closing. I understand that I should have changed my address with the bank following our move. I wasn't blaming the bank and I wasn't mad in any way, I was just curious what happened to my funds... if they went to California treasury or if Premier America or the other bank did something else with unclaimed accounts. I was already embarrassed that I didn't know the bank was closed. I didn't expect someone working for Premier America to completely ridicule me, embarrass me, and make me feel like a fool. I even asked at one point why she was being so rude to me and she just kept embarrassing me to the point I had to hang up and cry. Very unprofessional!!!! Selineh P. They rejected a COUNTY check from the government because I didn't endorse it at the ATM....REALLY? I've been with them since they were Pacific Oaks and I NEVER had this problem. EVER. Not having a lot of money in Vegas on vacation isn't a lot of fun. When I called them out on it they had me wait on the phone for OVER AN HOUR and then offer a call back time that they were AN HOUR LATE ON. Said they would call me later because they wouldn't normally do this and they never returned the call. Unprofessional, abysmal customer service, and poor handling of the customers' funds. 0/10 would never recommend them to a friend or family read more

If only the regular name brand banks treated you like PACU treats you, I'd still be with a big bank but since they don't I'm so pleased that we switched to a credit union. This bank has lied to me so many times, and not given me access to my money, so they could collect on interest it is incredible. The thing that is so appalling is all the lies they tell me. I have never bounced a check with them, and I have had the account for probably two years at least. Yesterday, I deposited $30,000, which the bank decided to put on hold for no apparent reason. They clearly just wanted to make money off the interest They lied and said the check was drawn from Chase, and "Chase doesn't have that much money." How the hell do they expect people to be so stupid as to believe that? How the hell would I have more money than Chase Bank? Then the teller and the manager lied to me again, saying they would give me access to 5000 the next day. They handed me this claim in writing, In addition to telling me that verbally. As soon as I left, I received an automated email from the bank, stating I would not receive ANY of the funds for nine days. There is no reason to put a hold on this check for nine days As soon as I get my money from them, I'm switching to another bank. With Bank of America, you never "develop a relationship" with the bank. The turnover is incredible, and they'll tell you any lie in the book. read more

I was extremely happy with PACU and then premier America came along and took over the Camarillo location. The service is not as bad but there are no incentives and/or promotions even though I wanted to take my main banking event to but I am bit hesitant as it is not very enticing when it comes to perks or things to let you want to stay for a long time. My only complaint is I had an incredibly low interest rate less than 3% on my credit card which I have earned based on my good credit when I joined Pacific Oaks but was disheartened to learn that without me being fully aware of the consequences to a much higher rate on my credit card. I had no choice but ultimately transfer my credit balance with another bank offering a promotion and probably will keep doing that rather than staying with Premier America. They have good rate for car loans if you have a good credit. If they can fix my rate to back how it was, I can probably take my account out of CIti to them given I get the same perks like free checking and checks and money orders, etc, read more

It's too bad that when it changed from pacific oaks to premier america, the politeness and great service went away with it. It seems like I wasn't the only one who had issues with "suspicious activity" and had their cards turned off without a notice. And with a customer service that's only available Monday through Friday, I had to wait all weekend, on top of having a federal holiday as well. read more
