I took my car there to get a bid for bumper damage etc. Mind you, I'm a young female going into an auto body shop so they already thought I was stupid. Immediately, they push me to go through my insurance which I said MULTIPLE TIMES I did not want to do and then give me an estimate ranging anywhere from 4.5k-6k. Safe to say I went to a different shop. When I let them know I was going with another company and asked them to stop contacting me THREE TIMES, they continued to argue with me and tell me why I was "wrong" for accusing them of over charging. read more

Actually, the service has always been good, so shame on me. Bob and Dorie operate a business which basically depends on "word-of-mouth-referrals". They are pleasant, knowledgeable, and always willing to make an effort to accommodate their customers' needs. To me, it always feels like you're doing business with your neighbor. We've had multiple family vehicles serviced there through the years. Whether a major repair, or perhaps a request for a "quick review of potential issues" before a long road trip to visit the kids; we're always treated the same. The parts & labor charges are fair, but most importantly to me they always make sure their work is done properly. In an industry where reputations are difficult to achieve and maintain, you can count on Premier Automotive to "get it done right", and for that I'm very thankful and loyal. I went to a Napa certified mechanic. I was told my AC was cracked and it would cost $2,250 to be fixed. I then heard some great stuff about Premier Automotive. So I came in for a second opinion. I was in and out in 20 minutes. No problems found! All they had to do was charge my AC. Great people you can really trust! My AC has never been cooler! Took my 2006 Mazda 3 in for an automatic transmission fluid change and not only did they charge me $50 dollars over their quoted price because they didn't change it right the first time, but they also didn't replace the transmission filter. I called the next day and talked to them about why they didn't change the filter and they proceeded to tell me it didn't have one. I know it has a a filter because I can go to autozone and buy a transmission filter for the car as if I were gonna change the fluid myself. Word of advice. Don't go to this place for transmission fluid change or any fluid change for that matter if you actually want it to be done right! Do it yourself or find someone that you really trust to do it for you that way you know it'll be done the right way! read more

I had gone to Brake Masters with a coupon for brake work. They were going to charge me $90. just to check it. Once again, this place is amazing. Had a noise with the brakes, it was minor work and the bleed the breaks. NO CHARGE. Very friendly people that are down to earth and will give additional advice on work that needs to be done, no up sale just being real! A family run business that even brings its dogs to work sometimes. They even take off a week or two in the summer for vacation and close the doors, showing money isn't everything to them and if they can't be there to run it themselves, they'd rather close the shop temporarily. I got an incredible price on a timing belt and water pump some years back. PA is also open on Saturdays and can do alignments (which many mechanics sub out). Bizarre location and parking is a bit cumbersome. You could probably make the long walk to Wal-Mart or hop a bus through Guadalupe to Mills Mall if your vehicle's going to be a while. Walking distance from Phase 54 too. I guess that does you no good though unless this place is open late at night. read more

I took my 10 year old jeep into Premier after taking it to a Jeep dealer and getting it back in worse condition than when I took it in. And of course, the Jeep dealer said they didn't cause all the new engine problems. A colleague recommended Premier and I asked them to determine what was causing the engine noises and body and tire damage. The folks at Premier brought my beloved Jeep back up to the excellent condition in which I had always maintained it. No more dealers for me. I highly recommended the folks at Premier. Customer service goes a really long way, and they hit the nail on the head here. Whether it be by phone or in person, they make you feel so taken care of, which is pretty unique for mechanics from my experience. Prices are very reasonable, and they give free warranties on certain parts which I wasn't expecting. Bonus: They bring their adorable little dogs to work and have the cutest puppy play room set up. I'm a big animal person so I might be biased, but I think anyone that takes that great of care to their animals will take that great of care to another person. read more

A coworker recommend this shop a year ago and I only wish I found Bob years ago. My son took his car into Premier Automotive after getting a quote for over $2800 from one of those franchise repair shops. Bob looked the car over only to find out it didn't need half of what the other shop said it needed. $1500 savings! Shortly after that, I had my car in 2-3 times for various problems. Each time I was treated as if I was driving a brand new Mercedes and not a 12 year old Honda. I always walk out of Premier Automotive never questioning if I was over charged or if repairs were done that didn't need to be done. I have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My best friend has owned an auto repair shop in Illinois for 27 years. I call him to find out what I *should* be charged. I needed a new radiator. Advanced Auto in Ahwatukee --- $1020! I told them where to go. Chapman Dodge in Scottsdale (McDowell) --- $895! Still a rip off. PREMIER AUTOMOTIVE --- $650.00 ---exactly what it *should* cost. :-) Also needed an O2 sensor replaced. I already had the part. Chapman Dodge in Scottsdale (McDowell) --- $755! Holy Swindlers Batman! I went here because my car was overheating, they charged me around 800 to get it fixed I didn't have enough so the lady was kind enough to take 40 dollars off but the same day my car started overheating again after being told it wasn't. I called and they didn't answer only to be told that my car needed to be brought by a message I got. They didn't offer a tow truck and Bobby wasn't going to be in until Monday so I took it elsewhere. I find out the work they did to my car based off the receipt I got from automotive was the same reason my car was overheating. I called back to get a refund knowing I wouldn't get all of it back and the lady upfront the same who took 40 dollars off my total yelled and cursed me only to hang up the phone after. I called back and demanded to talk to Bobby who then said I needed to all the old parts back. This lady had no reason to yell at me I was not disrespectful because I work customer service and I understand but to be cursed and yelled at for asking for part of money was not necessary. She needs to go. She needs to simply not work there anymore and believe me I will tell everyone about this experience and how poor of service I got and how this place isn't even worth the stars they have. read more

Found my mechanic and they've been just a block away from my workplace all these years! Took my Jeep Wrangler in to diagnose a loud squeak from the engine area after getting a new engine replaced recently. Turned out to be a belt tensioner that needed to be replaced. Bob, Dorie and Co. took their time waiting to replicate the sound (only happened after starting the engine from being in park a long time). Repair was made and cost was very reasonable. We have been having our vehicles repaired by Bob and Dorie and their staff for close to 25 years. I would not deal with anyone else. They are honest and do excellent work. We have never had a problem with any vehicle they have repaired for us. When the car is not worth fixing, Bob is very honest about that and we take his word. Would give this place 8/5 stars. We had an issue with the hoses in the radiator and went to Firestone thinking that we would be able to get a decent diagnostic to proceed with... Found out they wanted $2500+ for the parts and labor. My cousin knew this place and suggested we go for fair and honest work and pricing. Dorie was absolutely amazing! She looked and the diagnostic and even said that Firestone was a joke for what they wanted. We dropped the car off and they go to work on it ASAP. They have incredible hours, opening at 6 am to get started on the work right away and they do a great job and are super friendly. We got the hoses fixed, the coolant flushed, and an oil change for $600. We have never met anyone who is so friendly in the automotive industry and so willing to help out! We are college kids but they have been so helpful and understanding of our situation! Strongly recommend coming here! read more

Had one of those mobil guys replace all the air conditioning parts on my truck. There was a leak and he moved out of town so I took it to Premier. They charged me $185.00 to fix the leak. After taking it back to them for the 3rd or 4th time they just gave me some excuses and said it was cooling fine. They even said the engine has a sensor that tells the ac not to work if the truck was overheating! Really??? The truck did have a small coolant leak which later proved to be the water pump. The point is they charged me $185.00 and the ac still doesnt work. They also lied about the sensor. Do they really think I am that stupid? No such sensor exists. Wont ever go back and you shouldnt either. read more
