The whole experience with Hyland was terrific.... minus my car needing new spark plugs, but they fixed that. Dave and Mark were pleasant and exceptionally patient with my female level of car knowledge. They explained everything in terms I could understand and were diligent in finding the issue. I'd give a no rating or zero if I could. Your mileage will vary, but this place is a full SCAM when it comes to costs for parts. Check the prices on the parts before any work you have done at this place. I had several significant parts replaced and the prices they charged me is flat out robbery. We all know how expensive it is to buy parts directly from the dealer. Well, Dave charged me more than dealer costs for cheap Chinese garbage. I scoured the internet for the part numbers and even at the most expensive place i could find online, Dave still charged me over 3x the most expensive place that I found online. Now Dave said he needs to take his cut to make money and I understand this, but over 3x online prices and MORE than an actual OEM part from the dealer for Chinese garbage is a scam! He's a true con man when it comes to parts costs. If the parts were OEM I could understand, but again he used cheap Chinese crap, but charged me well over OEM prices. Avoid this con man or know the parts you're being charged for. This on top of an unwillingness to address the issues I've had despite taking it back to them three times. Dave still comes up with word-of-mouth excuses as to why he won't address the continued issue I've had that the parts were supposed to fix. I'll repeat, avoid this con man. Also, the last time I was in there a month or so ago, he happened to be on the phone ordering parts and referred to the customers car as, "a piece of shit" read more

We've known Dave and the Hyland crew for many years, and I always recommend him to friends. Not only does the knowledgeable Hyland team do an expert job repairing your vehicle, but they are also incredibly honest and forthright about what DOESN'T need repair, and all at very reasonable prices with no surprises. Not only that, but Dave is an fantastic guy when it comes to helping and serving his community. We had a very good friend that we lost to cancer a few years ago, but before she was gone Dave was able to arrange a contact between her and her favorite local band (and if you're local and you ever visit Rocky Point, Mexico, you'll know who I'm talking about), which meant the world to her. First, run the other direction! If you have to use, take pics & video of problem & condition of your vehicle before you let them even touch it! It will assist in your filing against this "establishment"! My experience cost $2100 in body damage for an $80 alignment. Still had to take it to a professional for an alignment. read more

The people, are nice and friendly at first but if you have a complaint or are dissatisfied with the work the owner David Hyland has has an excuse for everything. I was charged for work that was not done properly and refused a refund since I took it to the dealership to have it fixed right. Was told I should have brought it back to them. Being nice and friendly and posting cute dogs pictures on your website dosen't mean your going to get quality work if you have work done here asks for pictures of the work being performed and have them show you the parts and recipes for the parts that were replaced and check to make sure they did what you paid for read more

I've known David for years and have learned to trust him when it comes to repairs needed, repairs that could be put off for a while or in just diagnosing that annoying rattle or noise. His prices are fair, he explains options and costs and when he says the work will be done by a certain time at a certain price, THAT'S what you can expect. I've known owner Dave Hyland for well over a decade when he was a manager at a previous shop and when he opened his own shop I gladly took my cars to him. In the past with other shops I've been royally screwed over and when I first met Dave I was clearly impressed with his integrity and honesty when it comes to repairs and his repair costs are more than fair and he never tries to sell you work you don't need. Its so hard to find a good honest repair shop and Hyland auto repair is truly one of those. Can't recommend them enough and I rarely give five stars for anything but in this case it is truly deserved. read more

I have delt with Dave for years and followed him from his last employer to his present location...if he moves again I will follow again. I have never been over charged nor has any un necessary work been done. He has never lied to me concerning work needed and I trust him without any doubts. I can't decide if I'm more disappointed in the quality of work performed or in the attitude of the staff. I took a VW beetle in for a water pump and timing belt replacement and the car survived for 4 miles before dying because the timing was so far off that the valves were ruined. When we ask about making the car right we are treated poorly, given numerous ridiculous excuses and lied to about tests that were never performed. They even went so far as to say that the vehicle stalling was the cause for the timing being off. Another mechanic provided an independent diagnosis of the damages done and we are still told that Hyland wants more money to even look into our issues. This problem is going to require resolution in court and I certainly hope you save yourself the grief of poor mechanic skills and even poorer customer service. So sad we ever did business here! read more
