This family-owned business works with you on overall design and materials. Then, they select one of their teams to estimate the plumbing and contracting work as separate estimates. You also order your fixtures and glass directly from recommended vendors. While this sounds complicated, Zelmar kept all the moving parts on schedule. Easy peasy. They gave me solid advice on what could and could not be done. This led me to make smarter design decisions. They recommended a layout which was much better than I originally envisioned. Their plumbing and contracting partners were outstanding. Easy to work with, strong execution, respectful while in my home and cleaned up after themselves. In particular, the attention to detail by Coates Contracting made me a fan. Little things like the placement of tiles so the grain continues, the level surfaces, etc. Home improvement projects can be so stressful, but this one was not. A lot of people really marked up the cost of flooring so they could 'give you a deal' which immediately put me off. Creative Flooring doesn't do that. The guys that came and did my floor worked really hard and did a great job of making it perfect. Someone must have accidentally tripped over the cord for my adjustable bed frame and the cord broke - I was really impressed that Creative Floors took care of it. The person we worked with was Bob who was just terrific! He was patient, helpful, and professional with us the whole way and made buying the flooring a real breeze. My whole experience was great. I would highly recommend these guys. The people they sent out to do the floors were some of the hardest working guys I've met.

I found a beautiful selection on Pinterest and they ordered for me at no additional fee. Their showroom is great. They have tons of products and options displayed so you can get a better idea. Their pricing is comparable if not better than their competitors. They offer installation at a very reasonable price. Before install, they come out to quote but what's even better is they put together a project plan outlining the project area, colors, products, "trouble spots" etc so everyone's on the same page. I trusted this company, referred by a close friend, but it became a nightmare. Dustin Chandler gave…read moreme an estimate and said at most five leveling bags might be needed, and that I'd likely get a refund since most people don't need leveling. Once the floor was torn out, they demanded 35 bags, and my cost jumped by over 50%. At that point, I felt like I was being held hostage. They told me if I didn't pay, they would leave me with an unfinished floor. I was completely stuck. Even if they had asked for 10k more, I would have had to pay. The drilling was extreme. Recessed lights came loose and fell out. Some vents fell out, and others were left hanging, turning the first floor into a mess. I had no warning this kind of damage could happen. When I couldn't get help from the staff, I contacted the owner, Celeste Carr, expecting some resolution. The worst part of this entire experience was speaking to the owner, who told me I was being offered only cents on the dollar as a courtesy, which I declined given what I had already paid. Instead of helping, she justified everything and told me I should have read the fine print. I felt betrayed. My advice: read every line carefully. This company leaves you without options once you're in. I fully expect the owner will respond with a fabricated story, but I stand by my experience.

Randy, the estimator, also said his team could get the job done in two days, while the other vendors said 3 to 4 days. We set aside 3 days, just in case.
