I went…read moreto college at University of Delaware so I did come to this movie theater location a little more often when I was younger, and it's kept its local college town charm while moving up to modern times. I went to a mid-day movie time during the work week so it was not crowded at all. I decided not to buy my tickets until I arrived due to the service fee of $3 and knowing I didn't have to worry about it getting sold out or not having seats that I would like. That's the number one change here that I appreciate and that's the selection of the seat. The main reason I cannot give this theater 5 stars is because while the seats function well the "leather" is severely damaged (at least they were in #5 theater). I also prefer the stadium seating though the recline of the seats do help to limit the seats in front of your row being in view. The bathroom was pretty clean and immediately after the show ended the staff was cleaning; not much since was only 4 people in my movie showing. Overall a good local theater that provides everything one would expect.

The concession area is usually messy, and no one seems to know where the line is when approaching for food or popcorn... Is there one line, two lines,... Who knows people just walk up randomly. The concession associates are usually friendly. Sadly, only two people working the concession stand on Saturday when we were there to see Spider-Man and it was chaos. The people coming in tried to walk directly to the food area when there were already people in line. The associates at the registers act like they would rather be somewhere else every time we are there. This time was no exception and the associate forgot to ring up our drinks. When I showed her my receipt and that the icees and water were not on the receipt, she acted like we were bothering her. I was shocked to learn the Icees are now almost $10 each. I think that is ridiculous and the owners should reconsider how much they are charging. People are trying to bring their families to the movies and who can afford $10 icees if you have a few kids or kids and their friends?? Spent $50 just on concessions.... Of course we didn't have to buy snacks, but who wants to go to a movie and not have popcorn and treats?? I understand it's a personal decision of what you buy or even going to the movies, but just wanted to make others aware that the prices at this location are high. I believe the Icees at Cinemark near the Christiana Mall are around $5 and they also have combos with popcorn, candy, and drinks. That's where we're going next time! Very frustrated with the experience, but we still enjoyed the movie and had a nice time so three stars.

I let the employees know that there was a toddler and expected them to remove the child and parent from the theater because they are supposed to check IDs for the 17+ age requirement and clearly that wasn't done (and a toddler of that age can't consent or choose to see this type of movie; they are forced to). The parent and group were approached by management and nothing came of it. They allowed a toddler to witness a horror film and for the rest of the theater to hear the child's noises throughout the film. I won't be going back. I expect an R rated film showing at 10pm to be child free, and children shouldn't be subjected to the scenery in such a film. Completely unacceptable on the parts of the theater workers and the parent(s) of the child.

There's people directing it all and you park in the open grass in neat rows. All that said, I probably wouldn't go again. I feel like it's a given they'll be long lines at any horror attraction. 3 stars not because I had to wait so long but because the haunted areas were just not worth the wait. The actors were fun though, built off my groups comments and leaned into it. Ideal if you don't want to be terrified but just a little anxious. I was just left unimpressed by the hayride and indv houses/areas. I can look past the long lines, that's the case anywhere but just a little worst here. I think all the waiting really killed the mood and excitement. I believe tickets are only Friday-Sunday so no weekday options to avoid crowds.

Then the hayride drops you in the cemetery, where there's ANOTHER LINE. I feel like I spent $60 just to wait in line. We got there around 8 and it was midnight when we got to the 4th attraction because of all the waiting we had to do. The scenes are nicer than other haunted houses I've been too and the scare actors were on point, I just wish it was better organized

The corn maze was a little confusing, but it seemed like it was intended to be that way. I went in a bunch of circles, and I had to ask some of the actors where to go. The other two attractions were fun to go through. They have a coffin ride and an electric chair to try out, too. I recommend getting there early since the place does fill up. Saengerbund Oktoberfest is an annual festival that celebrates German-American heritage with food,…read moremusic, beer, amusements and shopping. It occurs the third weekend of September normally. Although it is nothing like Oktoberfests in Germany, it is about as close as you'll get without boarding a plane and using your passport. We went and had a great time last Fall. It was an easy trip from the Philadelphia area and offered much more than the weak Octoberfests that seem to pop up and disappear forever in the Philly area. The highlights were the food and music under the big tent! The beer was good, but the offerings were a tad disappointing. None of the beers that make German beers the envy of others. Like at any festival, the prices are on the high side. Everything is paid for using tickets that can be purchased at booths throughout the venue. The plum cake is awesome! Sweet yet a bit sour-not overly sugary or heavy. The other desserts are also very good. I was excited about the roast pork-but found it a bit bland and greasy. The sausages and sides were all a little disappointing-they could and should be improved. In general, buffet-quality food, at festival prices. The music was good, and as would be expected, hyper-traditional German "muzik." The dancers clearly do what they do out of pride and love-definitely a mom and dad dance club vibe to their performances. But that makes it even more charming and far better than an Epcot Center-Disney-Gone-Wild über-version of traditional german dances. Saengerbund Oktoberfest also has a carnival-like midway with rides (included in the price of admission). Certainly a plus for the kids-should you bring any. Also there is a good selection of "German" souvenir kitsch at über-prices so you can take home a reminder of the day or as a shout-out to your german heritage. One big downside (at least for me) is the "let's go drink beer until we puke" element that seems to become more prevalent as the day turns into night. Another downside is the porta-potty situation. Too few pottys, too many people waiting in long lines, and too many drunken 20-somethings "sneaking" into the bushes to release über-amounts of kidney-processed beer.

The staff hired to tend the bar were friendly. I like that it was decorated with German stuff. Pretty conveniently located too, close to the highway so you're not searching for it. People walking tight ropes 50 ft in the air between trees, weird performance troupes causing mischief and mayhem, water features, indoor facilities, free yerba mates everywhere.. and a generally amazing group of attendees and musicians and performers. All in all 10/10 would go again and highly recommend. The east coast needs more of this festival. It's not fair that the LiB's of the world and the Symbiosis's of the world have all been concentrated out west. We finally got a good one out east.
