I've been going to Dr Yu for YEARS and I am still just as obsessed as I was the first day that I walked in. Dr Yu is not just a Dr, he's an artist and takes so much pride in doing a job well done. It's nice knowing he won't let a single person leave without them feeling totally satisfied and beautiful. Everyone who works the front desk is so nice and kind too. They always greet you when you walk in, say bye when you leave and answer all of your questions. I love this place so much and writing this review is making me want to go back this second! Appointment times don't seem to mean anything to them. I went in for a consultation and waited 40 minutes before deciding to leave. As I was walking out of the waiting room, the sweet little Taiwanese girls remarked, oh! Oh! Miss..? And I explained that I was just walking out due to the length of waiting time. They had nothing to say. An hour after my appointment time (and after i left the review), someone from the office called me. So glad i left when i did, i would've fallen asleep if i had to wait another 20 minutes. I've been getting cosmetic procedure with Dr. Yup since 2010! The main procedure I've gotten were fillers to correct my under eye bags, the apple of my cheeks, and smile lines. These were done multiple times because I loved the results so I usually return to Dr.Yu for maintenance and touch ups. I've also tried Botox for getting that V shape jawline. I get I've moved away to Northern California in the last few years and have tried other cosmetic places up there, the results were not quite the same, after a few years of less than satisfied experience. I've decided to make trips back down just so I can come back to Dr. Yu for these maintenance. Today I'm trying out a new procedure which is to adjust the base of my nose, this area I have significant mass loss due to aging, so the base of my nose appears to be sinking down, making my mid face area look older. So I'm getting fillers to raise this area. And the other one I'm getting is TipLyft, which is patented by Dr.Yu. It's a minimally invasive nose job. Instead of inserting an implant with surgery, Dr.Yu use filler injection to make fine adjustments to give the nose have a more lifted and shapely tip. The tip of my nose is round, and the bridge of my nose is on the flatter end. So this will help give my mid-face more definition. As expected the result is wonderful, it's a little bit swollen right now, Dr.Yu said it's going to go down 10% or so, that'll be the final result. I really like how it looks! Besides Dr. Yu's great skills. He is also very honest in his advice. Whenever I do consultation with him, he always advise me in a way that fits my appearance, I tell him the issues I want to fix, and he tells me exactly how to fix it with what procedure will give the best results. He never up-sales me surgery or any extra procedures I don't need. And if I really want to do something, he will give me a realistic expectation. For example I asked him how much improvement will I get from doing thermage on my loose upper arm? Because I really want to get it, he told me the result will be less than 10% improvement. So then I can decide if that's worth getting or not. The staff here are also wonderful, they are very polite and helpful. The good thing is the turn over rate isn't high, staff usually stick around for a long time which means the clinic is well-ran and staff likes working here. The consultant Echo has been here for 10+ years, I trust her and it's so easy to go back to the same consultant, she knows my history and my preference. I am so happy with my results after cosmetic surgery with Dr. Yu. I came in thinking I knew what I wanted: an eye bag removal and upper eyelid skin removal. I felt my eyes looked more droopy and sagging than was appropriate for my age. I definitely needed the eye bag removal, but Dr. Yu recommended facial fat grafting to help give the eye region a lifted appearance while being less invasive. The problem was mainly lost volume in my brows and temples, not excess skin. I followed his expert opinion and am so happy with how it came out. I was awake for the surgery, the eye bag removal was uncomfortable but I'm so glad I didn't need real anesthesia. The bruising/redness on my face was minimal afterwards, but it was very puffy. People just thought I looked different for the two weeks after but I was able to get out after about 5 days. It has been about 3 months and my face looks more youthful but very natural and subtle. This review is just base on their customer service . I Visited few years back for some consultation but didn't went ahead for any procedure because of some issues . Now that I am ready I called to make an appt and everything ran smooth and when I show up for the appt , she say she need to collect an upfront $80 consultation fees which wasn't informed ahead . I told them you should have told me in advance as the first time I visit this wasn't implemented but what make me mad is the consultant gave me a very " don't care a damn look " thinking I am very cheap not wanting to pay and roll her eyes when I clarify how the charge can be taken off as my mandarin hearing is not so great . She make me feel so stupid with numbers . She then went ahead immediately to brush me off saying you can go home think about it and make an appt next time when you are ready to pay . I was so ready to do the ultherapy session after the consultation this time , I am mad not cos of the $80 but more of the dis respect response to a ready customer to just want to brush me one side and send me off with a don't waste her time attitude . I was looking for the keloid injection and I found this place on Yelp, and decided to give it a try. The nurses here are very friendly.. they speak Chinese and English which is very helpful ! The consultation went smoothly, very detailed. Before the injection started, they put the numbing cream and ice pack for 5 minutes and it helped to ease the pain during the injection. UPDATE: Now that my lips have healed I still absolutely love them! I wanted to include a pic for reference. Dr. Yu created such a beautiful natural pout! I definitely wanted a more conservative approach. My lips look so pretty and Dr. Yu addressed the asymmetry, my right side looked so collapsed before. If you're anything like me and always freak out after a procedure but BE PATIENT. My lips were swollen for 2-3 days after and it was a little hard to talk because I felt they got in the way. I had minor bruising inside of my lips so it wasn't at all noticeable. At first the filler feels weird and bumpy but after about a week my lips look and feel soft/smooth and plump and kissable. Can't Recommend Enough! - I had some weight issues in my lifetime and was unhappy with the excess fat around my stomach and stubborn fat in areas that were hard to get rid of even with exercise. I was drawn to Dr. Yu because he has years of experience, knowledgeable and specializes in the procedure. Also, in the reviews and in my experience, he was very respectful to me as a woman, I never felt uncomfortable around him. We went over what I wanted to change and improve, and he was able to educate me on how to approach it to get the best results. He really knows the body well, truly an artist and master sculptor!! I felt very confident in his abilities. Dr. Yu and his staff made me feel very comfortable and well taken care of. Everyone there is so warm and kindhearted! I went home with a garment, abdominal pads, and some supplies to help me through the night. I've been coming to Dr. Art Yu for over ten years and so has my mother. I've also introduced a few friends here as well. What makes me a loyal patient of Dr Yu's over all these years is his fantastic bedside manner and his honest opinions. He won't make you do a procedure he doesn't deem you need or spend unnecessary money. I've had my breasts redone with Art as well as fat grafting injections into my nose and chin. I come in for Botox and fillers throughout the year as well. In the past I've tried promotions on Botox and fillers at other medspas that friends have promoted and the results do not look as great as Art's and don't last even a fraction as long as Art's work. I do think having a plastic surgeon who is trained in this type of aesthetics is the way to go especially one with steady hands like Art's and a great attention to detail. If you're going to do something for your face especially aesthetically go with the best. Art is the best! Dr. Art is a perfectionist and he doesn't have one approach to every face. He really takes the time to study your face and gives you what he deems is suitable for you. I've been going to him throughout these years and he's familiar with my issues I have with my face. This month I went in for ulthera, Botox, and the nose tip lyft. I love the results. I also consulted with him about doing eyes and he was extremely honest that I didn't need the surgery yet, but instead I could balance out my face with minimal fillers to the temple and that was exactly what I needed. My husband also came in expecting to get fillers and Botox on his forehead for terribly bad sleep lines that have given him a permanent V shape indentation on his forehead. Dr Yu told my husband he didn't need anything and that the fillers would not help my husband with his side sleeping issues on his forehead. It was best he adopt another sleeping habit to minimize the lines. This is rare and unheard of from many consultations. Most clinics will pounce on any opportunity to get a patient to do a procedure or treatment. Art truly felt my husband didn't need anything done and it goes to show how much integrity he has in his practice. This is why time and time again I only trust Art with my face. The ladies and the front desk that assist Dr Art are very professional too. His whole team makes you feel comfortable from start to finish. I personally always do my consults with Echo. She has great insight and is comfortable to work with. Dr Art's clinic is also extremely spacious and clean. They do practice covid safety.
