Everyone who works the front desk is so nice and kind too. They always greet you when you walk in, say bye when you leave and answer all of your questions. Dr. Li carefully and thoroughly evaluated my history and made it clear that, in my case, a prophylactic mastectomy was medically necessary. I prophylactic surgery is for those who do not have cancer, but have other reasons why a mastectomy is in the best interest of the patient. That validation alone lifted an enormous emotional burden I had been carrying for years. Everything changed once she became part of my care team. From the moment my insurance approved surgery -- coordinated seamlessly with a breast oncologist at Cedars-Sinai, with whom she partners -- I felt an overwhelming sense of relief and safety. Dr. Li took the time to explain all surgical options in detail, answered every question, and respected my goals and preferences without pressure. I requested an Aesthetic Flat Closure, and Dr. Li worked in tandem with the breast oncologist during a single surgery, which meant I did not have to endure multiple surgeries. That level of coordination, foresight, and respect for my quality of life was invaluable. Just as important as her technical excellence is who she is as a physician: Dr. Li is kind, attentive, thoughtful, and deeply compassionate. She listens. She explains. Dr. Chow pays great attention to detail and took time to talk with me both before and after surgery. He is very approachable and caring. He even personally called me after surgery to check on me, which I really appreciated. Whenever I had concerns, I could email him and he would call me back right away. My Experience with Abdominal Liposuction at This Clinic (December 2025)…read more I had abdominal liposuction at this clinic in December 2025, and I want to share my experience so others can be aware. 1. Pre-op paperwork nightmare: They gave me dozens of pages of documents in English with no Chinese translation and no explanation. Staff just highlighted areas and told me to sign or initial them all. According to California law, someone should have explained the risks, especially if English isn't the patient's native language -- which in my case, it's not. 2. Hidden arbitration clause & pressure to sign: In the middle of those forms was a page waiving my right to legal arbitration. I didn't sign it. But later, when I came back for scar revision, the front desk in Rowland Heights literally forced me to sign it, saying I couldn't get the procedure unless I did. That's completely against California law -- patients have the right to refuse this. 3. No post-op care instructions: After surgery, I was still groggy from anesthesia. No one told my family anything, and nobody informed me when or how to follow up. I had to call myself days later just to get a post-op appointment. 4. No surgical report -- even after 8 months: I requested my surgical report multiple times. The front desk told me only my consultant "Jiajia" could handle it. She said it was emailed (it wasn't), and claimed she wasn't responsible. It's now been 8 months and I still haven't received it -- even though, under California law, I have the right to access it without needing to provide a reason. 5. No one told me I'd have large scars: No one -- not a doctor, not a nurse, not a consultant -- told me that I would have two permanent 2.5cm scars on my lower abdomen. That's something the doctor should have personally disclosed. I only found out after the fact. Six months later, the doctor offered to do a scar revision -- but I had to go under the knife again. 6. Scar revision = more forced forms: Before the scar revision, I was again given forms, including another arbitration waiver. I refused to sign it. The Rowland Heights front desk went through every single page and pressured me again -- saying I must sign to get the "free" surgery. But my original surgery wasn't free -- it was expensive -- so this attitude felt completely unjustified. 7. No follow-up after scar revision: Seven days after the revision, I got my stitches removed -- and then silence. No one followed up. When I asked to schedule a follow-up, the front desk told me only the consultant (again, Jiajia) could help me. But she said the front desk had complained about my attitude -- just because I refused to sign the arbitration waiver. Seriously? 8. Poor communication, unless you're paying: Jiajia also told me I should only contact her if I want to spend more money on a consultation. If I'm not buying a new procedure, she won't handle scheduling. That's unacceptable. 9. Botched stitch removal & wound problems: Turns out, my stitches weren't fully removed. My wound didn't close properly and was still open 2 months later. When I asked to be seen again, the front desk said they wouldn't help me unless I agreed to be photographed. No photo = no treatment. Where is the empathy? 10. Patient rights ignored: Even if I signed a photo release before, I still have the right to say no at any time. Refusing to remove stitches unless I agree to being photographed is not legal under California law. 11. Blaming the patient instead of helping: Another consultant told me the arbitration waiver "must" be signed and blamed the company's training. They said the front desk is just part-time and not responsible. But shouldn't the company be training them correctly? 12. Rude, dismissive behavior: When I tried to explain my concerns, the consultant kept interrupting me and asked repeatedly: "Are you going to book another appointment with the doctor or not?" -- over and over again. I felt completely ignored and pressured. So I walked out. The only staff who showed compassion were a male and female nurse in the operating room, and one kind front desk staff in the Arcadia location. Everyone else acted like they didn't care, especially Jiajia -- who even said, "You're a nurse, you should know!" I'm not a cosmetic surgery nurse -- I'm a patient. I should've been properly informed, not guilt-tripped. In the end, standing up for my rights made me look like I was the problem. But I know my rights -- and if management doesn't take this seriously, I'm ready to escalate and take further action.

They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is massive since they share the lot with several other medical offices. The medical office itself was very quiet, clean, neat, and tidy. I was a patient here and underwent a surgical procedure that caused me significant pain immediately afterward. Even after a full year of repeatedly reporting my pain, discomfort, and a terrible aesthetic result--including a visible bulge in my abdomen--I was consistently dismissed. I was told everything was "fine" and that there was nothing wrong. I was the one who had to push for an ultrasound, which ultimately led to a misdiagnosis and the conclusion that nothing could be done. A year and a half later, my suffering had not stopped, so I sought second opinions from other providers. Both of them immediately recognized the diagnosis. It is, unfortunately, a known and relatively common complication of the type of surgery I had. The fact that my original doctor never acknowledged this possibility was deeply concerning. This experience has caused significant psychological stress, ongoing physical pain, missed work, and additional medical procedures. I have now had to take more time off to undergo corrective surgery, I am left with a permanent scar that would never have existed otherwise, and I have spent thousands of dollars out of pocket to repair the damage with a different doctor. What is most upsetting is that I did go back to the original provider, explained the correct diagnosis, and requested a refund based on what happened. I was told that I had received a "beautiful result," despite the clear physical deformity and the painful complication that had been overlooked for over a year. My concerns were dismissed, minimized, and ultimately ignored. At this point, I have no choice but to warn others about how complications may be handled here if something goes wrong with your procedure. I am also now forced to pursue board complaints and legal action, which is something I never wanted to do. I genuinely tried to resolve this directly. It took about a week to finally get connected to talk to someone to schedule an appointment because their hours of operation on yelp does not match their actual hours, which I believed should be updated. On their website, there's literally no provider you can schedule with either. So when I did get connected, the front desk says they'll call me back in 15 minutes but called me back after 30 minutes and they sounded fairly rude whatsoever. But anyways, I've arrived at my appointment and everything seemed fine. I was talking to the consultant and when the MA was available, I was asked to get my blood drawn for the PRP. The MA was having a difficult time finding a vein to poke (I've never had issues with drawing blood at the hospital). She was able to get one vial from the left and then it was slowly. She kept swiveling the needling in my arm and I was getting pissed. Then she gave me water and kept attempting to go for the right arm and was able to get a bit (which she claimed should be enough). Afterwards, when finishing my conversation with the consultant, it turned out I was not a good candidate as I am prone to keloid so the blood drawn was tossed. I ended up getting a IPL photo facial, which was done by Lisa. She was amazing and she made sure I was comfortable in between sessions. I'm waiting to see the results but am definitely seeing some clearing of my face. Would love to come back to try other treatments but definitely did not enjoy the first 30 minutes of my arrival.
