I'm the type of person that would rather not say anything if the service is so-so. But this company changed that. I spoke to Jose last week. He seemed pleasant over the phone. I called to confirm the estimate he sent over Yelp since I thought it was too low based on other quotes I received. I provided additional details and he increased his price in line with what others were charging. I asked how long Crystal West had been in business since they didn't have any reviews at the time. He said they've been in business for a few months and had 5 reviews, but Yelp was not showing them yet. I told him I love supporting new businesses so I gave him the job. We booked the cleaning service over the phone and he told me to text my email address to his number so he could confirm everything over email. I sent the info as requested via text (to the same phone number used for our calls, which he told me to use for texting as well). I didn't hear back. So I sent a follow-up text to confirm since the date was two days away. I even called him a second time to follow up and he assured me he received the text and was going to send an email confirmation for the booking on 7/20/2022. Both calls were short, but nice and pleasant. However, he never showed up nor did he explain why he never confirmed the booking. Because the service never took place, I can't attest to the quality of cleaning his company provides. I can, however, speak to the level of customer service. It's basic professionalism to respond to text messages or do what you said you're going to do (in this case, confirm the booking and show up.) I understand things do happen. As such, if he could not deliver as he promised over the phone, it would have been the decent thing to at least communicate this. It's Business 101. Or even Common Decency 101. I'd advise you to stay away until they get their act together. I wish all small businesses the best of luck, as it's not easy to try to strike it out on your own. However, starting off this way puts you in a weak position, especially given the power of social media and word of mouth.

They frequently show up hours late or cancel and reschedule at the last minute without much notice. On more than one occasion, they started cleaning and then left in the middle of the job to finish a different job--only to return hours later What really rubbed me the wrong way is how greedy and dishonest they were about pricing. We had a set agreement on what would be cleaned and how much it would cost, but they constantly changed the price after the fact. Suddenly, certain areas "weren't included" unless I paid more--despite it being clearly discussed beforehand. To make matters worse, they refused to clean some areas at all or insisted on charging extra for basic things that should have been included in a standard cleaning. If you're looking for a reliable, honest housekeeper--this is not the company for you. I do not recommend them. Save yourself the stress and go with someone who respects your time and money.
