I used Blitz cleaning two times in 2019. The first time went perfectly smooth and the second time had a small hiccup that was quickly and professionally sorted out. We have been using Blitz Cleaning for well over a year now. They have given us great flexibility whenever we have reschedules or need extra cleanings for events at our house. They did an initial walk-through of the house and we agreed upon all of the things I'd like them to do, then they gave me a quote. The cost was right in line with what I had paid previously with other cleaners. They take special precautions with our dog and have been awesome with extra cleanups that we've needed (like when my daughter got glitter EVERYWHERE on the first floor - we were amazed we couldn't find any after they had been there). This is my first (and hopefully last) bad review on Yelp. I decided to retain this company after seeing so many 5 star reviews, but I'm hard-pressed to understand why there are so many 5 star reviews. I scheduled Blitz cleaning to come to my new apartment on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. The owner told me that he charges $30 per hour, per person, but caps the fee at some point as he sees fair. (Side note, that's BS, because he charged me full price after showing up AN HOUR LATE!). My current roommate is living in the apartment, but there is essentially no furniture (short of a couch and coffee table/one chair) in the living room and furniture in his bedroom. I wanted them to do a deep clean of the entire house, including my empty bedroom, but NOT my roommate's room. I asked them to clean the baseboards in all of the rooms, and really deep clean the entire apartment. I should mention, the apartment is approximately 1400-1500 sq ft. First, the owner of the company calls me at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday morning and advises that his "ride" didn't show up. They're already 15 minutes late at that point, so I'm somewhat annoyed, but whatever - stuff happens. The owner and his helper showed up at 11:00 a.m. His helper, whose name I will not include, was a complete mess. I'm not remotely judgmental, but at least have someone show up who looks professional. She looked like she'd been partying all night and hadn't slept at all. It took them OVER FOUR HOURS to clean my apartment. Mind you, like I said, there is no furniture in the place! I asked for all of the baseboards in the house to be wiped down. The baseboards in my bedroom and dining room were wiped down, but the baseboards in the living room and entry room/mud room/entrance room were not wiped down. The windows barely looked like anyone had cleaned them. The top of the bathroom toilet was not wiped down. Also, the helper left her hair on the toilet lid (GROSS!). I know it wasn't mine or my roommates because the helper and I have different color hair and my roommate is a guy. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned, essentially. I ended up leaving to run an errand (my roommate stayed home), and my roommate told me the helper said she needed to go get "a shirt" from her car, while I was gone. She was gone for over 25 minutes. When you're paying for a service by the hour, that's absurd! I should note the following: I own a 1900 sq ft home in the Encino area. I have a housekeeper who comes once a week with her helper and I pay her $70 per week. Sure, she doesn't do deep cleaning every week, but I have her wipe down the baseboards in every room (and she actually does it!), but she won't come out to Hermosa. Needless to say, at the end of all of this, the owner told me I owed him $240 ($30 per hour, per person at 4 hours). Did I pay it? Yes. Do I regret it? Yes. Do I feel I got ripped off? Yes. Would I hire them again? It's a resounding NO. read more

I can't believe people would rate this company highly. They were hired to clean an empty rental home. They did not bring the proper supplies to clean, could not operate some simple window coverings to clean them, did not even look in the trash compactor which had garage in it from the previous tenants, and generally did not do a very good job. They threw out a grease filter from a stove that we specifically asked them to clean - we handed it to the crew personally and advised the owner, Jack Blitz, who was there, to make sure they cleaned it. When we advised Jack Blitz that they had thrown it out and asked him to pay for the replacement which was costly, ($175) he refused. In fact we had to call him twice because after advising him, he said would he would call back in a day or two but never did. No honor in this business. Below is a text I received yesterday from my new tenants who just started moving in the house. For clarification, I used my own excellent carpet cleaning company. Unfortunately, my husband had already made arrangements for cleaning with somebody else, so I was not able to experience the quality of Tice's work. I would never use this cleaning service again. They are dishonest, and it seems not very motivated to do a good job. They did not bring the proper supplies. The owner himself told me he could not clean some roll down shades because they were broken. In fact he just did not bother to figure out how to roll them down. I had to show him. After the cleaning crew left, I had to re-clean sinks and toilets and the insides of some cabinets. Worst of all, after specifically pointing out a filter screen from the stove that needed cleaning, and taking it out to show one of his crew, we found out that they thrown it out instead of cleaning it. (I was there with 3 other people who saw the screen). When we called Jack Blitz, the owner, and advised him that the parts department of the store where we bought the stove told us a replacement screen would cost $175, and asked him pay for the replacement screen, he said he would talk to his crew and get back to us in a couple of days. He never called back. When we finally reached him, he said he was not going to pay for it. - these things happen. read more

Jack and his crew arrived on time, but only had a small amount of cleaning supplies and asked if they could use my vacuum. Also, the housekeeper complained that she didn't know she was supposed to do the oven and that now she would have to change her shirt. Jack also asked how the blinds were, and when we replied that we would like them cleaned, he said it would be an extra $20. We have 5 windows in our one bedroom apartment. They did an okay job, but the reason I hire a cleaning service is to really get in the nooks and corners and they missed spots like: the top of the doorways, the exhaust fan in the bathroom, the floor under the fridge was not cleaned. I am convinced they just swiffered the floor. Also, they somehow managed to leave with the hair trap for the tub, and still have not returned it. read more
