I signed up for a class here on ClassPass and was also treated rudely for no reason, I guess now I realize it's because I am a woman? This instructor here is a clown and so up his own ass he should teach contortionist lessons. He wouldn't teach me at all and was totally dismissive, he literally told me to go find someone else in class so he could sit off into space on the side in silence. Last time I checked my money was the same as anyone else, if your studio only wants to accept men/professionals, etc then make that clear on the website or class description instead of wasting everyone's time. The tagline on google says "Saekson Janjira Muay Thai is located in the heart of North Dallas, bringing the most authentic Muay Thai to Texas. Classes for kids, adults and fighters." maybe put an asterisk there and say "no women or beginners" mmkay?

I was working out on my own and (I didn't know they're was a dress code.) He got pissed at me for not following the dress code. He began to press me without asking any questions. He told me I was disrespectful and disgusting. Maybe we stepped on the wrong foot but he lost a potential fighter... I'm never going back again. He seems money hungry. But overall the students are very nice and welcoming but HIM not so much. I recommend Next generation MMA.

I instantly felt welcomed. My friend I went with raved about the instructor, Anthony Young, and he was fantastic! I told him about a foot injury I had and he continuously came to check on me throughout the class to make sure I wasn't overextending myself while also helping me with modifications. The workout was high energy but not extremely difficult which allowed me to focus on my form and go at my own pace without feeling overwhelmed. Anthony walked around the class, adjusting forms and having one on one mitt time with multiple students. It had been a while since I last boxed so I was a little nervous to get back into it, but Anthony's kind and welcoming demeanor made me instantly feel at ease. The facility is well kept and clean, and there's lots of parking out front. Next time I'm in Dallas, I'll definitely be going back to take Anthony's class!

The trainers are experienced, motivating, and genuinely care about your progress, whether you're a beginner or looking to compete. Classes are well-structured, combining technique, conditioning, and sparring. You'll sweat. A lot. But you'll leave every session feeling stronger and sharper. The sense of community here is also top-notch -- everyone's pushing each other to level up, and there's no ego. If you're serious about boxing or just want to get in shape the real way, this is the place. Be ready to work -- this gym doesn't play. 5/5.

Upon meeting him, he was very personable and welcoming. He explained how everything worked and how to punch the bag. It was nice having him check in with me during the class since sometimes I did not hear his instruction and needed that one on one attention. The owners made me feel very welcomed from the moment I stepped foot into the gym. On my second day, Tyler (the other owner) led the session. Both instructors/owners did an equally good job of encouraging everyone to participate and not making anyone feel ostracized for going at a slower pace than the rest of the group. The Venue: The gym is small but it holds a lot of people. It is also very clean and has a reasonable amount of parking available outside. The Cost: The membership at this time is very reasonable. Right now it is $14/week with the special they are running. If you refer people and they join, you get an even larger discount on your membership. To me that's worth it for the awesome workout you get. You also get bands to wrap your hands, gloves, and a water bottle when you join. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a kickboxing class in the Colony. SIDENOTE: If they ever decide to allow those interested to pay per class, I would definitely come every Saturday since I live too far away from the Colony to make it during the week :-(*tear* OR If they ever open up another location nearer to my work or home, I would definitely be interested in joining long term.

I've had a membership before, i enjoyed what i attended (even though the coach turnover rate then was so high), and then i moved to Alaska and had to cancel. Well I'm coming to visit family for five weeks in Frisco (after 1.5 years), and having been familiar with Kickhouse, i was really wanting to sign up for the month I'm here - I even still have my two pairs of kickhouse gloves and wraps. Also this time, my mom and sister wanted to join me too. While in Alaska still, I reached out to the Frisco Instagram page in November on IG (we were even mutual friends on social from the last time i was signed up and tagging them in my stories) and explained that i wanted to sign up for the coming month, had two additional guests that also wanted month passes and we all wanted to know what that rate would be, since we were making plans. I never was able to receive an answer other than "come in for rates". I even called several times, left a voicemail and even reached out there to the general Kickhouse (vs Frisco specifically), and also didn't receive any response... I'm not sure on what the gatekeep is. I've already signed up previously, you would think there would be some returning-customer loyalty or even interest. Especially if I'm bringing two more. I didn't need a "pitch" like my first visit or even a discount, i already knew i was going to sign up AND with two more, but just wanted to relay the cost so we can prepare in advance. NEVER received an answer. It was embarrassing to relay to the my mom and sister that I can't get an answer on rates after weeks of trying... I called two other kickboxing gyms in the area after giving this multiple tries, and immediately got answers with rates, so we found an alternative really quickly when i tried. But totally sucks! It completely ruined my perspective on this chain and i genuinely was really excited to give it another go with two additional people :( if you guys aren't going to provide rates other than in person, the sites should totally be updated to say that. Not every request is just surface interest... especially if it's a returning customer. I don't need a pitch, i just needed a rate to relay so we can prepare. Maybe they have such a negative experience with getting customers they have to have in-person pressure only?? No idea... but totally bummed.

They make you stand in your orthodox and south paw stances to give both sides an even workout. Unorthodox but makes sense. My only suggestion is to do all the warm-ups in the beginning and a cool down at the end with kickboxing in between. What happened was warm-up, kickboxing for a few minutes, exercises in between where you might need your gloves off, more kickboxing, and switching back and forth. It was annoying having to take off my gloves and putting them on often but I guess it gave me a chance to sip some water. We wipe down our bags after every use and I witnessed someone mopping the floors so I know the place is pretty sanitized. It feels targeted towards women but I don't know why as it would give men a good workout as well.
