My mom is elderly and always wanted a walk-in shower, especially now due to her age and arthritis. She's low income and has lived in the same house for almost 50 years. Her house is not in the best of shape, but after years of saving, she finally had enough to make her bathroom dreams come true. She asked me to help her find a good company so I googled affordable bathroom remodel and found this place. They seemed to have good reviews, so we proceeded with them. BEWARE!! They are anything but affordable considering the sub-standard work they do. During initial consultation, owner Jessika Cabrera came out and spoke with us. At first, she seemed helpful and knowledgeable. She led us to believe my mom was getting an amazing deal with "extra senior discounts", etc. She led us to believe the job would be done faster than most contractors in town. She said in the end, the final product would be beautiful and amazing. This company is very deceiving, and we felt they lied to us. They do not do quality work for the money. They even damaged some of the dry wall in mom's kitchen while demolishing the tile from her bathroom - it broke through to the other side of wall into the kitchen. They attempted to fix it, but it still looks terrible. Their work is sloppy and less than standard. They also take way longer to start and finish a job once it's scheduled. The entire job took months to complete, not weeks like they said. Many times, workers would show up for 10-15 mins then leave without saying a word. They wouldn't return for days or even a week at a time. This happened over and over. Before work began, they required half the total cost up front. They wouldn't even add us to the schedule until this money was paid. Then before demo started, they required another large sum of money. At first, Jessika was friendly and available by phone or text to answer any-and-all questions. After payments were made, she was no longer available. In fact, we didn't hear from her or anyone from her office for weeks. Calls go straight to voicemail and texts go unanswered. Days or weeks would go by and her assistant Shawn would call to apologize about not getting back to us. Some excuses were: they were out of town, busy with other clients, or sick. We also gave them a dup house key and they lost it! Of course, one person blames the other. We still don't know where the key is at?? When bathroom was finally done, they sent a final bill. We were shocked to find they added an additional $415 over the amount we agreed upon in contract -- they said it was for "extra materials". I called Shawn and of course left a message about how displeased we were about the entire process and how upsetting it was to learn about the extra fee. She called back and said it was written in the contract that my mom signed agreeing to any additional costs above the contracted amount THEY deem necessary to perform job. Even though these costs were not explained or approved beforehand. We weren't going to pay the final payment. However, a week later, my mom received a letter in the mail from their attorney stating they would put a lien on her house in 20 days if it's not paid in full! What!?? My mom is almost 78 years old, and they want to put a lien on her house over $415? What about the damage they caused to her kitchen? OR the key they lost? OR crappy work they did?? In the end, my mom paid the remaining balance because she doesn't want to live in fear of losing her house to this awful company! Not sure if they can do that but she doesn't want to worry it. Save your money, grief, sanity, and time. Don't use this company! I'm not one to write reviews but I'm hoping this will help someone not make the same mistake we did. Please research Planet Remodel as well. We didn't know they are the same company owned by same person.

Our tile was about 15 years old and had never been professionally cleaned at all. Although we maintained it and kept it in very good condition, However , the TILE CLEANING COMPANY did a super job on getting our grout back to the original looking color. I was pleased with thoroughness of the technician. But he was also realistic as well and told us what could and could not be achieved. Case in point we have a guest bathroom that is as old as the house which is about 24 years old. Although the tile surrounding the tub is in decent shape we were hoping it could be resurrected and look fresh and new again. But as the technician pointed out, at some point you cannot do much for bathroom tile and you either re-grout it or completely tear it down and put something new in. That's just the reality of the situation. So be realistic that miracles cannot always be performed in some bathroom situations. In other cases, you might get lucky if the grout is not too old and worn. However, floor tile is usually much more forgiving. But I highly recommend the TILE CLEANING COMPANY! We were happy with their service.

Texted Gary, who came on Tuesday. He said that the team may have nicked a line during trenching. He didn't seem too keen to help in fixing it and said his Foreman was away and there was no one else available. Then he left. After many texts and our working relationship going down hill fast, he said he'arranged for a Pool Company Tech to come out. He seemed very perplexed as to why he was there and also told me there was a hole in the pipe. After more texts and stressing out, I hired another contractor, who told me that two pipes had been nicked, not one. Within a short while the problem had been fixed. I must admit I was very taken in at first, but the lack of Customer Service and his rude, couldn't care less attitude, has really upset me. There are plenty of other landscaping companies out there. Don't waste your money, all he needed to do was to fix the pipe.

So we decided to move forward with him. Not only did the job turn out perfect but he actually ended up getting everything done sooner than planned and he went above and beyond to make the job look as good as possible including throwing in a couple nice touches at the end that we didn't expect just to make sure it looked the best it could. Fast forward to late August.... This is where I'm very grateful we chose Mirage Landscaping. This year was brutal with the heat and unfortunately our beautiful new plants took a beating. I contacted Tony and he was out very quickly to look at our yard and evaluate everything. Without hesitation, he replaced nearly 1/2 of our plants (which was a lot) with no questions asked and didn't try to nickel and dime us or put the blame on us. What a relief! His warranty is as good as his word and his product! After he saw the yard, he had someone out in 2 days and everything is now replaced and beautiful again. I cannot stress how important that warranty was and him honoring his warranty. I've had other landscaping companies in the past that don't honor their warranty and it's very costly to have to come out of pocket to fix and repair their work. He probably saved me well over $1k-$2k by honoring his warranty and replacing my plants instead of blame shifting like most companies would and have done to me in the past.
