Today was my daughter's first visit with Dr. Ziari. My first impression of the office was that it…read morewas a small office and it was very warm in the waiting room. The front desk lady didn't greet me or even acknowledge me even when I wrote down our check in time. Finally I got my paperwork and patients slowly started coming into the waiting room. After a little more than half an hour, we were called back and it was a quaint little office with a few rooms. A nice girl asked all of the regular questions and was very pleasant. Dr. Ziari was in promptly and was friendly. She is highly accredited, and follows AAP guidelines which I was glad to hear. She let me know that her patients are her boss and she works for the kids. 24/7, she is on call and sees every single patient. She is the only doctor at the practice, and she gives all of the immunizations; "no one else touches my patients" she says. It was definitely a different pediatrician experience and it made me feel very comfortable, which is incredibly important when it comes to your children. My 18 month old warmed right up to her as if she's known her her entire life. I believe without the initial new patient paper work, the visit would have been very quick.

I loved my previous Pediatrician so I was skeptical if Nemours was comparable. It is often that you go to a doctor's appointment when you wait a long time and then they rush you out when it is your turn as if you are not valued. Needless to say if I had to make a change this was a great option. We've been twice so far and seen Dr. Kaur each time and she is absolutely amazing. She allows you to ask questions without the feeling of being rushed out and doesn't act like your concerns are unimportant. In my opinion, it's nothing worse to have a good doctor that has poor communication skills sometimes referred to as poor bedside manner. I'm so thankful for Dr. Kaur. Another plus is how the dr office information is viewable on mynemours.org or on an application called my chart. I love how you have access to certain medical records.

The other pediatricians I met were nice and seemed like good doctors, but Dr. Ulmer is special. Her warm and friendly personality is clear from the moment she steps into a room. Her knowledge of pediatrics is very impressive. Whenever I have a question she always knows the answer and gives me current medical articles so I can learn more. She has been the pediatrician for my daughters from newborn to teenager. She is just wonderful with them and I couldn't be happier with the care they have received. When we had our daughter in 2011 there was no question where she would be going too! I have been taking up residence there this past month as I have had one of my kids in once a week. lol. You always get a live person on the phone(with the exception of lunch and everyone needs to eat!). Whenever I call I am always treated like a part of their family. I would advise staying away from this place…read more My daughter went in for what was supposed to be a routine physical and wellness visit, which should have been completely covered by our insurance. During the physical, the doctor noticed some slight discoloration on her skin. This was not something we had gone in for, and it was not presented as a significant problem. After we got home, we received a $20 copay bill for the visit, which immediately seemed incorrect since the visit was a wellness exam covered by our insurance. We then discovered that the office had billed our insurance company an additional $300 beyond the wellness visit, apparently related to the skin issue that was mentioned during the examination. I called the office and spoke with Sherry, who was very unhelpful. She told me that my wife had signed a contract allowing the office to bill for services outside of the wellness visit and essentially indicated that they could bill the insurance company for additional services. We will never go back to this office. If you choose to go here, I strongly recommend paying close attention to your insurance claims and any copays you receive. In our experience, we ended up with a copay that we did not believe we should have been responsible for, based on what we understood to be a fully covered wellness visit.
