However, it has recently come to our attention that their caregiver takes her regularly to the store to buy alcohol. We found this out after our family member was hospitalized after passing out for 5 hours. When we confronted the caregiver and asked them not to continue for the sake of the patient, she refused to tell her no and said they would get the alcohol anyway. When we contacted HomeInstead, they acted like they were unaware of the issue even though we have made it clear to keep a record of their history and they refused to take any responsibility for their employee. HomeInstead is looking the other way and we plan to hold them accountable.
