She lives in the memory care unit; you have to have a password to use the elevator to get to her floor. I forgot to mention, they have a tablet that you use to check in- you enter your phone number and then it asks if you're seeing your person. It takes your picture, then it prints out a label. You have to use it to check out too, security is important. I went to their Thanksgiving buffet, everyone went to the first floor and got their food. The whole dinning room was open, so family could come visit their loved ones.

He praised the staff are more friendly and available, the food are better, even the air is fresher compared to the last assisted home he stayed at for 4 years. My encounters with everyone (including the residents) from Bethesda were all positive. I don't blame her for leaving at all. What concerns me most is something I witnessed firsthand: while waiting to speak with her, I overheard a conversation between her and the executive director. His tone was belittling, and he spoke about writing up and firing staff in a way that felt dismissive of the people actually doing the caregiving. Given that, it's hardly surprising how many memory care directors have come and gone. It's worrying to think this same leadership will be opening a new, state-of-the-art center -- I have real concerns about whether the culture behind the scenes matches the polish out front. I don't typically write reviews, but after learning Laurin had left and seeing firsthand how unsanitary and rundown the common areas have become, I felt I owed it to other families to speak up. This is memory care -- the residents here are especially vulnerable, and I think that raises the stakes on all of this considerably.

Initially the cuisine was exceptional but began a decline about the time of the pandemic from which it has not recovered. The HVAC system is not very reliable and may be the source of the intense dust. Most staff are pleasant and helpful. A dedicated service elevator is sorely needed in Building 3----the smallest elevator is also the most used and is often entirely taken up with soiled laundry, trash making use by the many walkers and wheelchairs a real problem. Special holiday meals in Palo Verde are often very good (any way the champagne flutes can be well chilled?) and of much higher quality than daily meals in the Grill or Sonoran.

They have a pool there and part of my therapy is exercise in the pool. Nivi has also been certified to work with amputees ! When you walk in Hannah who does double duty as receptionist and helping Nivi, has the brightest smile and warmly greets you. They have lots of gym equipment, they also do dry needling, and tens. My grandmother has lived here for the last year, and since I live directly across the street, I am here almost every single day. When I tell you the staff and residents are what truly separate this place from anywhere else, I genuinely mean it. You will not find more caring staff members who treat the residents like their own family. They are constantly looking out for everyone and go above and beyond to make residents feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. The residents here are also beyond wonderful. From day one, they welcomed both my grandmother and me with open arms and helped her feel safe and like she truly had a place to call home. They also do an amazing job organizing daily activities for the residents, and I especially love their monthly vendor market. I truly can't emphasize enough how great this place is for you or a loved one.

The Manor seems to have also lost several good and caring employees that we really liked. I'm starting to get concerned about the trends I've been witnessing. I hope these trends don't continue.

When we walked in the door at Manor Village, we knew we had found Moms new home. We were greeted by Wesley Wilkins who provided us with a tour and as we moved throughout the building, Wesley knew all the residents that we came in contact with as well as employees. You could tell he really enjoys his job and every employee we talk with had a smile on their face. The entire building had a wonderful vibe and the residence we interacted with were so welcoming and friendly. We feel confident that if any emergency or care is needed, Mom is in the right place. It is now been a couple of months since she moved in and we could not be any happier. It has been such a positive experience and I would highly recommend Manor Village if you're looking for a facility that will treat your loved one like family. We exchanged Happy New Years before our informal Meeting. Suddenly Tim reached under his desk And place a Red Bag on his desk. Along side he placed A piece of cake covered with Sprinkles. In the Red Base was Hot Wheels Car , my first, a Fridge Magnate, An Orange Marker 4 pieces of assorted Chocolate. A Stone Ridge Pad . Also Caplin Tim included his business card and tapped to the side of my Birthday Goodie Bag was a Birthday card signed by the Director of Operations, I met her, 1 of the 2 Social Workers, and the receptionist who is waiting to be tested so she can assume RN duties for the Hospice. My only Question. I ask after Chaplain Tim shared the Minimum Hours required are 1. I stated I would like to work a few hours whenever I am asked. The measures taken designed solely for the protection of all the residents. I am quite grateful for the good care I received from the nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and the outdoor grounds are beautifully maintained. However, there were notable areas that need improvement. There were times when the care staff felt stretched thin, leading to slow response times when calling for assistance. Furthermore, communication between the administrative team and family members could be improved. A major concern was the doctors, who visit the facility sporadically; my wife was never able to speak with them. The biggest issue was the performance of the physical therapy team. There was no set schedule whatsoever, and they often rushed through sessions in just five minutes, combining physical and occupational therapy together. I tracked each visit to the gym, and we never reached the expected five sessions per week for either physical or occupational therapy. While it is a nice facility with a caring nursing staff, closely monitoring the therapy department, staffing levels, and doctor communication would make the experience much better.
