I have many memories of coming to AMC (known back then as Rave) in Jefferson Point after school and seeing movies with friends in what I thought was a fancy and new theater. Well, after coming back here for a movie in 2026, I don't think this theater has been updated since 2006 and it honestly made me a little sad. The prices for tickets and popcorn are high for how shabby the place is. Half of the complex is dark and eerie, the seats are tattered, the audio system is a bit crap, and there was only half a dozen others there on a late Friday afternoon. Jefferson Point is a relatively upscale outdoor mall in Fort Wayne and this poor little theater deserves some love and an update. Now I am sure my 3 stars are inflated due to nostalgia but the staff are friendly and there are some interesting options available at the concession stand! I saw some food on the menu I haven't seen at other theaters. C'mon AMC - put some money into this location please!

Unfortunately, now I go here because it's the lesser of two crappy options. Almost all of the seats at the ends of the aisles have armrests that give way when you sit down. The seat covering is falling apart. Honestly, it looks like shit. It's embarrassing and as long as it continues like this, it just goes to show that the company doesn't give a shit about the experience of being at the movies. I don't blame the employees here. I think they're generally great and I feel bad for them that this company doesn't care enough to fix things. If they fixed things here, it would be amazing. I'll keep reviewing it every time I come here. We will see how much it matters.

The food options could be a bit more interesting (and cheaper!) I go here about 5 times a year, usually with my sister and we always have a good time. And we ALWAYS get popcorn!

I would recommend this place for both concerts and for the bar area which has live music, and, so far, no cover or minimum. My family and I came to the Fort Wayne Civic Theatre about a month ago. It was my mothers birthday…read moreand I got tickets for all of us as a birthday gift for her. We drove to Fort Wayne hoping to watch good theatre. The Civic Theatre is part of a larger complex called Arts United center which has a philharmonic, art exhibits and other cultural venues. The staff is friendly and helpful. The lines in will call are practically non-existent. The lines in the ticket booth are not much larger. There are certainly some negatives 1) No valet parking. Parking is also a rather long walk from theatre. I am used to theaters with either valet parking or at worst a nearby parking lot. May not be a problem for me, but my mother is older and she does have problems walking long distances. Several other patrons were also in the same situation. The nearest parking garage is several blocks away. 2) the seats are narrow and a bit uncomfortable. The narrowness didn't bother me, but my brother is larger and it was a tight fit for him. Not a lot of cushion on the seat though 3) The decor is a bit spartan compared to other theaters I have been to. 4) No alcohol sold either before the play or during intermission. They do sell sodas/pop and small snacks. I still believe though that even with these negatives, it is worth coming. The play was entertaining and well acted. My mother loved her birthday gift. Whats better than that?
