When we arrived, we were greeted warmly and treated very well. The sales associate was knowledgeable, passionate, and very helpful. My daughter found a dress she loved, but she wanted to sleep on the decision before committing. While speaking with the owner and the sales associate, they were very encouraging and suggested I leave a deposit to hold the dress. Unfortunately, leaving that deposit turned out to be the worst decision. I left a $150 deposit thinking my daughter would most likely want that dress, or at the very least another dress from that shop. However, when she woke up the next day, she realized she didn't want that dress anymore. Three days later we went back to the shop to let them know. That's when I was informed that if we didn't keep the original dress, we would lose the $150 deposit completely. We couldn't apply it toward another dress, a purse, earrings, alterations, or anything else in the store. It was simply forfeited. I understand that holding a dress may prevent other potential buyers from purchasing it, and I understand that businesses need policies to protect themselves. However, I did not appreciate how strongly we were encouraged to leave the deposit, knowing how often teens change their minds. I feel like I was led into losing $150. This is simply a warning to other parents: do not leave a deposit unless you are absolutely certain about the dress, because if you change your mind, you will lose it.

She explained what the next step would be and we were on our way. I have tagged his mom and grandma in for pick up but based on past experiences with my boys and the efficient from last Saturday I have every confidence everything will be fine. TBH I have no idea how they compare to other tuxedo places, pricewise, but I think they have a great selection and the customer service is clearly a priority. Now that I am done with dressing young men for prom I will have to find some black tie events for my husband to take me to. :-) They have a very nice selection of mens clothing and they might do alternations, although I am not sure if that is just for purchase from them or if they take outside work as well.
