While I was out & about running errands, I made a quick stop at Premo's Subs for something to eat. Though the lot was small and didn't offer much parking spaces, I managed to find one behind the business. Premo's Subs seemed to be packed with people eating inside. After overlooking the menu, I placed an order for their lunch special - a large meatball sub with chips and a medium drink for $13.99. The sub was made in a timely manner...wrapped up hot and ready to go...because there wasn't time to sit and enjoy the sub at the sandwich shop, it was eaten on the road...with half in one hand and the steering wheel in the other. The meatball sub was really good. Nice sized meatballs covered in a zesty tomato sauce and cheese, and neatly held in tact in a soft roll. The coke beverage from their small fountain machine was cold and refreshing in this hot weather. I decided to save the cheese doritos for later with the other half of the sub. Needed a quick lunch and stopped in here and had the Reuben and it was great. Very friendly staff, and the restaurant was clean and inviting. They have any sandwich you want. I saw at least 20 choices on the menu and had a hard time deciding. There's a few parking spots in their lot and plenty of seating inside. I will come back next time I'm in town for work. Premos Subs has been my go to lunch spot for a few months now, and it has been super reliable. I've tried several of their sandwiches, and they have all tasted great. This spot has been around for a long time, and I understand why. The service is quick, and it is always the same workers, which shows they know what they are doing. I usually get my sandwich to go, and they wrap it in aluminum foil to keep it hot, which I love. The prices for the sandwiches are very fair too. I hate when sandwich spots overcharge for a sub. The inside is a bit small, but that is what I would expect from a local sandwich shop. read more

Great lunch spot. Ordering lunch for me is difficult because I've recently given up ( or severely cut back on) bread. Everyone eats sandwiches at lunch so finding good salads is important. I love their chef salad. Nothing can beat a salad with fresh deli meat rolled on top of fresh veggies. The salad is so filling I didn't finish all of it. Who can't finish a salad!? I had their broccoli and cheese soup which was good. Only thing I didn't like about it is that it's not truly fresh. It's pre made and put into styrofoam containers and then microwaved until it's hot. While the soup is still good I don't really like that. The service was fast and friendly. The hot subs are solid, and make it a really good lunch spot in Fort Lauderdale. I came to Premo's on a Saturday afternoon; it had people eating there, but there was no waiting time to order. The staff at the counter were friendly, and the food came out in a fair amount of time. The inside isn't large, just the counter with a few tables against the wall; there is an outdoor eating area. Really nothing special to look at here, just your basic sub place. What makes Premo's really good is the food. The Chicken Parmesan sub was very good. Usually at places like this, the chicken feels like it has been sitting in a freezer for 6 months, not here. It tasted like they had just prepared it and fried it there. It tasted really fresh, and the perfect chicken to cheese to marinara ratio. Equally, the Philly Cheesesteak was something I'd order again. Perfect ratios of cheese to steak, juicy, and really strong flavor. Portion size isn't huge, but enough for a decent lunch. Also the bread is perfect as well, just the right amount, and not overwhelming. It cost just over $18 for two subs. While the subs were tasty, they weren't huge, and it didn't come with anything else. It filled me, but I didn't think it was such an amazing price. As a New Yorker there are some meals that are the go to meals for most New Yorkers. One of those meals is a sub. This shop has been in downtown FTL for quite some time. Honestly the only reason I never tried it simply was because from the outside it doesn't look like much and no one had ever recommended it to me. Well I decided to finally give cut a try after reading the views and I must say it was definitely up there in the highest category next to The Market or La Spadas. I tried the Italian and I would give it an overall score of 8.5 on a scale from 1 to 10. The meat was a good quality meat; toppings were fresh; and it had an overall good taste. Pricing was great and they had great marketing as they followed up providing a deal for future use there. I will def add them to my list of sub choices. read more

Definiteley my favorite sub shop in Broward. The bread is so super-fresh. Really. Try a cold-cut sub (turkey, italian, etc.) and tell me that the bread is not some of the best that you have ever had. The meat is cut super thin and they place it on the bread in that sloppy style, not folded flat in simple folds. Cheese on top of the veggies. The veggies are always so fresh and crispy and the sub does not result in this gigantor sub that you cannot fit in your mouth. Stopped in a couple of weeks ago to get two subs. I prefer Laspada's but they don't make hot subs, which my wife likes, so I went here. Premo's will press any sub on the menu to make it hot. I went with a roast beef on multigrain and it was decent. The ingredients seemed pretty fresh and the regular size was filling enough. Had a bite of my wife's hot Italian sub (she added bacon) and it was decent as well. Service was fast and helpful. I've been here more than a few times over the years. They have very good subs and they are fresh. They do have an interesting way of making a sub and in fact I have only seen it done here. The cheese actually helps keep everything together. A bit pricey but you are getting what you pay for. Lunch at this place is packed which does bring me to the one thing I don't like, Parking. If I head to this place for a weekday lunch I make sure I am with another person so I don't have to worry about the parking. The staff is always in a good mood and always friendly. read more
