We were visiting overnight staying at a local boutique hotel. Full transparency, we stopped by The Kitchen Table (for breakfast) and placed on a wait, so we window shopped some of the other establishments and bumped into The Prescott Roadhouse. The sign outside was intriguing and we decided to cancel our reservation with The Kitchen Table. The Roadhouse had plenty of open tables, but don't let that deceive you! The service was good and the food better. We ordered the Roadkill Skillet and a side of eggs and bacon. The food came quickly and while one waitress served the entire restaurant, she was efficient. Could she have been more attentive, and personable? Sure. But, she got the job done and did a nice job! If we come back, we will come during lunch and try the Bao Buns! read more

The restaurant was homey, and they were very accomodating for our group of 9 (although it is a smaller space). We had called ahead and they were able to find a spot for us despite breakfast rush. Good sushi! Get the sushi that is served wed-fri nights. Theres not too much fish but the sauces are fantastic. Quaint but small with some patio area. Service was good and friendly- a little slow since it was a busy Friday night. The catfish was VERY SALTY in my taste but was cooked to perfection. The mac and cheese was good but not the normal. It was just the noodles with some cheese sprinkled on top... still very yummy! If you're on the prescott strip - check this one out! read more

Met a colleague here for a lunch meeting. I drove past it the first time. The white brick building doesn't have a huge outdoor sign but if you do the same, make sure you uey to get a table at this place. There is not a lot of seating but I got there a bit before noon and found a table with 4 chairs available. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich (no cheese for me but you can get with an extra charge). The sandwich came right from the grill to my table as it was nice and hot. Tomato and lettuce toppings were fresh. The fries were a fav. I love the skinny, crispy, salty fries and these were perfect. I got so many I have enough for another meal which I brought home. The owner was also our server and, apparently Friday's are sushi nights which my colleague says is a fav. Have to come back. Great experience. read more

Visiting from Iowa on a ski trip and this restaurant was a block away from our Airbnb, so we gave it a visit and are glad we did! It is a small place, with booths, tables, and a bar and you get seated right away. They have a pretty big menu with choices that anyone can enjoy. Our group enjoyed reading the trivia cards on the table while we waited for our food. For our appetizer we had the loaded fries, which were good and had a great ranch (important here in the Midwest). I ordered a BBQ Mac and cheese which was so good, such a comfort food for a picky eater like myself. Another in our group got the pork platter and he liked it too. Stoped in for lunch and was blown away by the menu. Yes, the usual bar food such as burgers, wings and Mexican but sushi, tempura shrimp, authentic beef pho, steamed bao bun and more. WOW! I had the fish tacos which were packed with delicate fish and great sauce. The couple next to me at the bar had sushi, beef pho and brisket patter. They loved it and wouldn't let me get too close. I was skeptical when I noticed the plastic silverware and then the paper plates. And it's easy to over cook or under cook pork belly. But it was done perfectly as were the fried and perfectly spiced string beans. All four of us enjoyed our meals and the great service. Lunch is too early for me to drink but I would have loved that Bloody Mary that Paul had. Only $8. Minnesota has lost the art of a dive bar with good food. Wisconsin still knows how to do this with class and style. I stopped her for lunch and was really shocked by the menu variety. This place is small and cozy but has that perfect dive fee to the place without trying too hard. I'm brother by hipster places that try to look like a dive or simply and old bar with common tasting food and that's the trend here in my state. The last few times I've visited border places I've been impressed with both the ambiance and the food that these bars still have. If I'm working in this area again I'll gladly stop in simple because both the burger and service were top notch. read more

I stopped by at the Roadhouse after a long day of biking and was SO glad that I did! I ordered the brisket which was some of the best I've ever had. There's a small patio that overlooks the railway tracks which is perfect for the late afternoon sunset. When I went to pay I wound up leaving my credit card at the bar. I was staying at a nearby campground and didn't realize what had happened until the next morning. Turns out, a waitress I spoke to remembered me mentioning that I was staying there and they brought my credit card to the campground and ended up searching in the dark for over an hour for me! Unfortunately it was already dark so I didn't hear this story until I came back the next morning to pick it up. I couldn't believe it when I heard! Food was good. I had chicken tacos (didn't care for shells, which were corn, but that is a choice) I didn't like plastic forks and knives, and paper service ware. I understand if it is because of covid, but not something I want to repeat. Server was chatty and friendly and very helpful. We will probably try again, but not soon. My family and I had lunch here yesterday and we were so so impressed. My 2 boys had their kids Mac n cheese with fries and both were really good. I had the al pastor tacos and they were amazing. Probably the top 3 street tacos I've ever had. My husband had the shrimp po' boy and he said it was one of his favorite sandwiches he has ordered. The decor is really cool and they had a small but nice tap beer selection. The staff was super friendly and the server was able to discuss the menu items well to help us make our selections. I had forgotten that we had visited this place in 2021, as our 2020 trip had to be cancelled due to Covid. Located as it is, and with a rather plain front of the building, it could be easy to miss. And it's a shame if you do miss it, as the food is great. It's not quite "hole in the wall", but it's close. It's cozy. The outdoor dining balcony isn't all that large, but it has a nice view of the river, and of course, the inescapable trains! The service was great, as the balcony patrons "out back" weren't forgotten. Between the buffalo chicken salad and the pork belly BBQ dinner, there was enough food for 4 people in 2 orders! The regular wings in the appetizer were cooked perfectly. Nothing worse than soft, rubbery buffalo wings! It's small, with only 4 tables, 2 high tops and bar seating, but we comfortably fit 6 to our table. We ordered pancakes, frittata, breakfast tacos, and biscuits and gravy--everyone enjoyed their meal! The vegetables in the frittata were fresh! The coffee was great. The marble rye toast was delish! Who would've thought that Prescott has the BEST tacos in all of MPLS metro! No joke, I've tried all the spots; Andale, El Super Taco, Taco Libre, and all the hole in the wall taqueria's, etc. If you're looking for the real deal, Baja style, So-Cal street tacos, look no further. These are the best. I've had every kind but pork belly so far, and they're all next level. Al Pastor just might be the winner, but the fish is darn close. Great sandwiches and apps too, have had the BLT (ton of bacon) and the shrimp Po Boy, both are on point. Way above average fries too. Cons are limited. Patio seating is small, and doesn't have the best view, no liquor, just beer and wine, but no loss of star. Best food in Prescott. read more
