Every meal and every visit has been consistently fantastic, which is why it's one of our favorite places to bring family and friends. We first discovered San Pedro's from a "best patios" list in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, decided to try it for a date night, and we've been hooked ever since. It's always worth the drive across the border into Wisconsin for this gem! The jerk chicken nachos are our absolute FAVORITE--we order them every single time. They're perfectly layered so every bite has that cheesy, flavorful goodness instead of everything sitting on top. A newer obsession of ours is the street corn pizza. It's the perfect balance of sweet and heat and easily one of the most unique, delicious pizzas we've tried. This place is one of our faves for a casual brunch, lunch, or dinner. Ambience is super cute, both indoors and outdoors. Indoor space is pretty small and a bit tight. If reservations are avail, take them. Service is fine. Nothing that stands out there. Food is mostly good! Almost everything we have ordered has been enjoyable. Tik tok told me to try the nachos here haha! We stopped in on a Saturday over lunch. It was busy but not crazy (at least inside!) I saw they had a STUNNING patio during a bathroom break and wished the staff had offered it to us when we checked in as we had no idea it existed! The vibes of the whole place are tropical and fun. Now the food! The nachos were flavorful and fun but technically difficult to eat. The cheese hardened quickly and most chips had nothing on them. We also split a chicken wrap. Sadly I didn't like this at all, the flavor was just weird for me and my partner said it had too much lettuce. Maybe I missed it but I wish they offered more of a true burrito because their rice an beans look stellar! The wrap came with a side salad and I loveddd the mango dressing. We LOVE this place so much. It's been around since 2000 and it's still so good. Their Caribbean inspired menu never disappoints and much of it is made in their wood fired oven. A trip to San Pedro in the winter makes you feel like you're on vacation and their beautiful patio in the back is perfect for summer weather. There isn't a bad thing on the menu and their mojitos are delish. Plus, it's in WI so you can always get Spotted Cow beer. The restaurant is small overall so make sure to put your name on the waitlist (access on their website) before you get there. Seriously, why don't more restaurants have this option?!?? Their chicken nachos are our favorite with the legendary habanero aioli. Their servers and bartenders are great. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant and paid street parking as well. I've been coming to San Pedro for 20+ years. I love the lively atmosphere tasty Mojitos open air kitchen everything I love in a restaurant is here. Huge fish aquarium at the bar. Great service. I love when you get a menu and you have to take forever because you want everything on it and you can't decide. I've had the duck nachos several times. This visit was a little disappointing because there was too many chips and not enough of the toppings that usually make it very spicy and interesting but still very tasty. My dad had the linguine Del Mar. The shrimp were very sweet and tasty. The pasta was cooked perfectly very rich and delicious. I had the flank steak tacos. I felt like I could've had more steak and less beans. But very fresh avocado and salsa. Love this place read more

Stopped for a quick afternoon bite. We sat outside in the shaded patio! Admiring the garden next door was fun! Very beautiful outdoor space! Ordered nachos and pulled pork sandwich. We were told the nachos came with a spicy aioli, we gave the thumbs up to the "spicy" to our server. When the plate came out it was not at all spicy we asked for some extra aioli to add on top... yum! The pulled pork was delicious, a really well balanced sweet bbq flavor! The vinaigrette on the side salad was so bright and fresh tasting! Definitely stood out to me! Our waitress was very kind, but not the fastest. No sense of urgency to get back out to our table for refilling drinks or bringing the check. Overall a great experience! Would definitely make the drive from the cities to visit again! read more

Always drive by this spot when going through Hudson. Had some friends that wanted to meet up and suggested San Pedro. We happened to go on a pretty hot day and I would not recommend that. Inside is crowded and warm and the patio doesn't have a lot of air flow. Also, we had to wait forever to get water and we had the world's smallest glasses and refills took a while too, not ideal on a hot day. Got the chicken penne. Was only ok. Was told it would be spicy, which I was fine with, but I just didn't love it. Others at the table also has similar feelings about their food, not bad, just didn't love it. read more

After visiting a nearby bookstore, I stopped here for lunch. The food here is crave worthy, and my favorite item on the menu is the Shrimp St. Croix: shrimp and linguine, with just a little kick + Asiago + wood fired vegetables (that are still crisp tender). I wish all vegetables defaulted to this as they are perfection. It comes with a small dinner salad and bread; the mango vinaigrette on the salad is tangy and sweet. We sat in the back of the restaurant, which wasn't ideal. While we had comfortable booth seating and a view of the wood fired kitchen, it also had a lot of foot traffic/noise from the wait staff. We were here on a weekend, so it was fully packed and quite loud. The decor is bright and festive, and we noticed as we left that there are two outdoor patio spaces. I may opt to sit out there next time, as it would be much quieter than the restaurant. Note: there is lot parking to the side and rear of the restaurant. read more

It may be too early in my life to say this is one of my favorite restaurants ever, but alas. The jerk nachos are absolutely the best nachos I have ever had. So flavorful and unique. For my main, I had to debate between 4 menu items which all sounded equally delicious. I settled finally on the barbacoa tacos, which I thoroughly enjoyed. They are make-your-own style, which is so so smart and definitely helped me regulate my appetite after filling up with nachos. Our waitress was nice and the runner we had was speedy, making sure all our food came out perfect and toasty. I can't wait to come back here and try out more of the menu. read more

We've been coming to San Pedro Café several times a month for the last four years, and it's consistently outstanding. We've tried a lot on the menu, but we always come back to our favorites: the roasted tomato nachos (don't skip the extra aioli) and the chicken chile penne, both packed with flavor and so satisfying. It's Monday and we decided to give it another go. We got here and were seated right away. 10 mins later our waitress came to the table to get drink order and she was very nice and apologetic for the wait...no problem, it happens! She took our order and we waited, and waited and luckily we are right across from the kitchen and noticed the screen with everyone's orders...ours was sitting at 45 mins so far. It's busy, but not 45 minute wait busy. I ordered shrimp tacos and husband ordered blackened fish tacos. Mine came out and you could tell it was shrimp, his you could not tell what kind of mystery fish was smashed up and shredded on his plate. I asked if we maybe got the wrong order and the waitress we were talking to asked "Are you asking because it isn't black?"...well, I mean...kind of? It shredded mahi mahi with little to no seasoning so not really blackened. This went over her head unfortunately. Neither plate was something we would come back for at all. We love Caribbean food and jerk, but this was a massive fail. Did we order wrong? If we come again I would try the ginger stir fry...that seemed to be what everyone else was ordering. We've been going to San Padro's since it opened 20 years ago. I never had a complaint. Went for breakfast around 10:30 on a beautiful Sunday morning and the service was horrible! We asked to seated outside and were taken to the old patio area. Once seated, we could smell the trash and a speaker was very loud. We asked to be moved and they refused, (it wasn't busy). They did turn down the volume of the music but it took a long time to order, getting our drinks and food. The waitress was disorganized. Finally, a person came to our area with entries and gave them to wrong table, he returned to the kitchen! 5 minutes later the food came to us by a different person who dropped the food on the table and left! We also ordered the cinnamon roles which was a favorite, what we got was a small stale Rhodes processed cinnamon role with a HUGE glob of frosting with a tiny "drizzle" of what appeared to be caramel. I complained to the waitress and told her what I expected (per menu) she replied - "I heard that's the way they used to be, sorry". Our entre was ok, but considering the service, we WON'T be back. Unfortunately, this wasn't the first time this year we experienced poor service at San Padro's. Now, it's the last time. read more

My only regret is that I can't rewind time and enjoy it all over again. I've had my fair share of bad dining experiences--horrendous meals, inattentive staff, dirty tables, and grimy atmospheres--but you'll find none of that here. Instead, San Pedro Café delivers unique drinks, flavorful dishes, and friendly, attentive staff who actually check on you and keep your drinks filled. Visit San Pedro for some delightfully interesting flavors. This was my first time here and I didn't want to just dip my toe in the water, I wanted to dive deep. Well, maybe not too deep. You may say that I stayed in the shallow end on this occasion. I definitely didn't get in over my head. I ordered the first entree on the menu under specialties. Ropa Vieja. Which translates to "old clothes". Or some may interpret it as leftovers. Either way, this ain't no hand me down. My Cuban specialty was a blend of hearty earthy flavors, with an intoxicating aroma. With a name referencing old laundry, I found that it didn't come close to chewing on holey underwear or dirty socks. Though the earthy reference would probably apply to both clothes and food. It was a an absolutely wonderful meal. Saint Pete would be proud. We had a table close to the wood fired stone hearth oven. It was cool watching the chefs stuff things in and pulling them out. Carefully pulling out. There was quite a bit of heat emanating from the mouth of that oven. Which made for an unexpected floor show. Ouch! Quick Tip: It's kind of a tight squeeze inside. Be careful on where they want to seat you. If you have a couple of burley patrons in your party you may want to be seated out back. read more

Parking can be difficult because restaurant is on the main drag. There is a pay parking lot beside and behind. Nicely located in the heart of the city. Service was ok. We waited around a lot. Food was decent. Back patio looks very charming. Would be a fun spot in the summer. read more

So I had been hearing so much about this restaurant that we had to give it a try. Parking wasn't much of an issue, but we also came before the dinner rush. When we walked in we were told we could sit wherever we wanted. We sat at a booth and our server came over and took our order and she was replaced by two young ladies because she was leaving. So I ordered the jerk chicken with mixed vegetables and my other half ordered the chicken chile penne. The food was phenomenal, perfectly seasoned, and spicy enough to make it very enjoyable. I like how they ask if you're okay with spicy food when ordering for those who might not be equipped to handle spicy foods. Also, I love the decor, I love the brick look on one side of the restaurant kind of gave it that industrial look which I feel was a nice touch. I tried the blackberry margarita and it was my first time trying it and now I'm a fan it was made perfectly. I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem. SERVICE: Despite being busy as hell, our service was excellent. Our server was totally on top of everything, attentive without being overbearing. Nice! LOW CARBOHYDRATE: This time around I arrived with the perspective of a low-carb, keto, carnivore eating style. I was happy to see that this is easy to accomplish (and tasty) at San Pedro. I avoided anything with large quantities of starch, added sugar, or anything that might be hiding factory vegetable seed oils. I swayed from my usual Curry fav and got the Ginger Stir Fry with Jerk Chicken. It was so tasty with lots of veggies, cooked just right, and not too heavy on the ginger. Would def order again. Small little place in the heart of downtown Hudson Wisconsin. Came here after a hockey game with a very hungry hockey player and was not disappointed. The food is great and very reasonable on the price side too. I was actually shocked with how much we ordered abs how cheap the bill was. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and even when it's busy they do not forget about you. I will definitely come back as this place is a staple. If you're looking to escape the cold winter, looking for some international flavors, and feel like you're at a warm island in the carribean, you've come to the right place. This place even has a cool fish tank if you sit at the bar (my favorite spot) unless you have a large party and the round table by the window is your best bet. They even have a waitlist online on their website so check that out during busy times. They also have free Wi-Fi, so ask your server for the password. There is a huge parking lot behind the building that allows up to 4 hours free parking. Woo hoo! This place has great drinks, daily specials and yummy flavorful food. One of my favs in downtown Hudson...on this particular day we ordered the chips with salsa and guacamole as an app. I ordered the mole chicken enchiladas, hubby ordered the blackened fish tacos . I always hear rave reviews about this place but each time I have dined her I am underwhelmed and disappointed by the food. The Caribbean flare is not giving flare, it's giving flavorless and sad. I feel there's too many different food options for the vibe they're going for. Not a ton of toppings, not a ton of unique flavors. A little burnt. My husband had the Cajun pasta which was also highly recommended and better. Service was ok - a little on the slow side. Put our name on a waiting list and was texted that our table would be ready maybe 7 minutes later. Sat outside which was a little chilly at times for my daughter who was wearing shorts. She really liked her pizza except that it was extremely salty. She likes salt but she couldn't finish her pizza because of the salt. Rice and beans are good. They're not covered in cheese which is good for me. Husband liked his stew which came with rice and beans too plus a salad and slice of bread.
