My nails and cuticles still look great a week later and my classic pedi is still holding strong! Parking in this area can be a bit of a challenge but that's really the only downside. I was hoping I found my new neighborhood nail spot, but honestly my gel manicure looks awful and I'm super disappointed. The vibe there is kinda cold and felt very rushed. The manicurist was polite but careless. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about efficiency but she nicked BOTH of my thumbs during the cuticle trim, which is incredibly rare for me. If she had slowed down this probably would not have happened. In addition, she didn't fully cover my nails properly with the polish so the tips are darker and look splotchy overall. Also, she did not go down far enough to cuticle or even down the sides of the nails with polish, so it looks like I got them done a week ago and not 5 hours ago. On the plus side, they did do a good job on the pedicure. Total was around $115, including tip. Unfortunately, I will be going back to Kensington Nails (where Kate and her team do an amazing job every single time, highly recommend!) to fix these. I'd rather do the drive than have a sloppy, low-quality manicure with cuts on my cuticles.

He started adding chrome, which I never said I'd wanted. I'm not sure if it was due to a language barrier, but when he mentioned it, I told him maybe next time. I only wanted to design I showed him. But he proceeded to do the chrome. On the 2nd nail, I told him I didn't want it. He said ok he won't charge me extra, as if he was doing me a favor. When it got to the design, he was perplexed and said it would take him a very long time to do. He had to call someone else to do it. I'd also noticed others in the salon had drinks. I asked how come I wasn't offered anything to drink. He said it's too early for wine. I pointed out the 2 other women who had wine and he said maybe they want wine this early. I explained that that wasn't the point. There were others who had water. I wasn't offered anything. He said next time ask. I was so upset, but just kept quiet. Another nail technician completed the design once the gentleman filled, polished and chromed my nails. She didn't design beautifully. I wished I'd gone to her from the beginning. Today, my index finger broke. I didn't hit against anything or smash my finger or anything. I'm sorry to say, I had a poor experience along with poorly done nails. The overall finish looked rushed and unprofessional. I called the salon and gave them the opportunity to fix the issue. I also got a sweet corn latte and it was so delicious! Unfortunately, 3 gel toes had completely fallen off that night and I had to go back the next day and get them fixed. They have stayed on now and I do like the look of my toes. It was just inconvenient to have 3 toes need to be fixed and take more time out of my day to drive back and get it fixed. But, I would come back so I can order a sweet corn latte and get my toes done.

When my nail technician completed my manicure, she announced, "same!" as if she declared out-loud my powdered pearlescent nails are now magically transformed into the requested nude chrome color. Unfortunately, my last two visits with the owner were very disappointing. I paid $111 (including tip) for a gel manicure and pedicure on April 10th. Within just a few days (by April 14th), multiple nails were already lifting at the cuticle and beginning to chip. The gel application was also bulky and uneven. I hate to complain and I was just going to suck it up. But I spent $111 and worked up the courage to try to fix it. I called back respectfully to address the issue and was asked to come in today (April 14). During that visit, I was told to switch to regular polish instead of gel. When I asked about cuticle care, I was told that for my "skin type" they do not cut cuticles because I will bleed and that I should just wash my hands and the cuticles won't be visible. I was then also told that cuticle prep had already been done at my last visit, which was not accurate. The interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. The removal process left my nails extremely dry, with acetone placed directly on the skin, and the regular polish application was rushed, uneven, and poorly done (as shown in photos). The service was completed, but the final result was uneven and poorly done. At that point, I did not feel comfortable continuing the conversation or asking for further corrections, especially as another customer had arrived and the interaction had already become uncomfortable. I'm very disappointed, especially given the cost and the fact that I gave them the opportunity to fix the issue. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this salon. I will not be back.
