I had the worst experience at this salon. I walked in excited to get my nails and toes done, but from the moment I arrived, the staff was extremely unwelcoming. There was no greeting or friendly attitude--it was immediately, "Do you have an appointment?" and "What service?" I already felt uncomfortable, but I continued with my appointment. When I sat down for my pedicure, the nail tech noticed one of my toenails was broken and told me it was going to look uneven. I told her that was fine and asked her to add acrylic or something to build the nail so it would look even, and I made it very clear that I was willing to pay extra. Instead of offering me solutions or explaining what she recommended, she basically just kept telling me it would be uneven. I don't do nails, so I obviously don't know every technique or option available--that's why I'm paying a professional. I expected her to tell me what she could do and how much it would cost. I asked how much extra it would be to fix the broken nail, and she said $5. I said that was completely fine. Then she noticed another toenail was broken and told me she could put gel on that one. I asked if she was also going to charge me extra for that, and she said no, so we continued. While this was happening, I told the nail tech doing my hands that I wanted French tips. She told me it would be an additional $10, and again, I said that was completely fine. Then I said I wanted French tips on my toes as well. That's when the nail tech doing my toes suddenly told me, "No, we can't do that because your toe is broken." At this point, I was extremely confused because I had JUST told her that I was willing to pay extra for her to build/fix the broken nail with acrylic or gel so that my toenails would look even. If the nail is built to look even, why are you just telling me "no" instead of explaining what my options are? I genuinely didn't understand what she meant, so I asked her to explain it again. Instead of calmly explaining it to me, she ROLLED HER EYES and called the front desk girl over. The front desk girl then came over and told me they couldn't do French because my nail was broken. Again, I had already told them I was willing to PAY EXTRA to have the nail built or repaired! At that point, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I wasn't arguing about prices, trying to get anything for free, or refusing to pay extra. I was literally asking them what could be done so my nails would look even, and instead of helping me, the nail tech was rude, dismissive, and kept telling me "no" without properly explaining my alternatives. I became so uncomfortable with the way I was being treated that I told them I no longer wanted to continue with the service and wanted to leave. Then they tried to charge me $48 just for removing my old set because apparently removal costs more when you don't get another service done with them. Are you kidding me? I CAME IN planning to get both my nails and toes done! The only reason I didn't finish the services was because their staff made me so uncomfortable that I decided to leave. At the end, they said they would "just" charge me $28 for the removal, and I paid it. But seriously--are you kidding me? I still had to pay $28 after leaving without getting my nails or toes done because of how uncomfortable THEY made me feel. I was willing to pay for every extra service I requested. All I wanted was for someone to communicate with me, explain my options, and treat me respectfully. Instead, I left feeling uncomfortable, frustrated, and $28 out of pocket for nothing more than having my old set removed. I definitely will not be coming back. read more

I recently received an IBD Gel Extension full set and gel pedicure at SK Nail Spa, and I was extremely disappointed with the service. The edges of several nails were not painted correctly, there was glue left around my nails, and the technician cut me twice, leaving visible blood. I paid $140 for work that was poorly finished and caused injuries. I am attaching photos showing the condition of my nails. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this salon. First off -- vibes here are immaculate! This was my second time visiting & I was paired with the same nail tech for my mani both times and unfortunately, it was very lazy work. I was hoping the second time around would be better but somehow, it was worse. I waited 15 minutes after my appointment time, which is fine. She was very pushy and kept trying to upsell me to get builder gel. I had to tell her three times I don't want it. She only put two coats of polish on my nails and it's very visible -- I can practically see through the polish. I wish I remembered her name so I could warn you not to book with her. On the other hand, Rosy, the nail tech who did my pedi was AMAZING & the absolute sweetest. She even attempted to fix the lousy work the first nail tech did on my hands. When Rosy was finished, she started preparing to do another customers pedicure next to me and as soon as the customer sat down she asked "would you like water or tea?" After hearing that I asked Rosy, "does your staff normally ask all their customers if they'd like water or tea?" To which she responded, "yes!" And I let her know, "the person who did my manicure didn't offer me anything" and rosy gave the most heartfelt apology. It was hard to not feel like I wasn't treated equally due to a prejudice -- my first nail tech seemed to be a lot more kind and welcoming to lighter skinned people. I moved to this area 2.5 years ago and have been going here for about 2 years. Thus far, I can strongly recommend Linh who provided this beautiful Fall set with Pumpkin designs. I appreciate Linh because of her professional recommendations. They are always genuine and based on your individual needs and desires. She recommended I try gel X months ago despite my unwavering loyalty to acrylic for years. She suggested this based on my needs at the time and I am glad I took her advice. I have had gel X ever since and I will only do acrylic for particular reasons as needed. Linh is also great with designs, and these pumpkin nails are hands down my favorite. I can also recommend Summer, who did these long French tip nails in pastel colors. I received overwhelming complements on these nails everywhere I went. These nails also lasted well over a month without breaking, cracking, or lifting which is big for me (long nail girlies know). My recommendations are based on quality of service overall, not just the nail designs. I am big on customer service so it's not enough to just do a good job on the nails. This was my third visit -- and definitely my last. I had hoped things would improve, but instead, the experience just kept getting worse. Several of the staff were openly rude, chatting in Vietnamese and clearly hoping customers wouldn't understand. The attitude was thick in the air -- dismissive, unprofessional, and made the entire visit uncomfortable. Thankfully, Lindsey was wonderful -- kind, attentive, and truly professional. There are a few others like her who genuinely care about their clients, but the rest? Unfortunately, rotten to the core. Their behavior overshadows the good ones and ruins what could be a decent salon. I tipped Lindsey $20 because she earned it with her care and skill. The rest didn't deserve a dime. Until management cleans house and restores some respect for their customers, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was very excited to go here! The remotes looked good and supposedly they serve you champagne or wine while v getting your service. I was offered water or soda Dianne did my pedicure and she was Great! Anne did my manicure. I was bummed that the next day my nail polish was coming off and cracking. I wasn't able to go back the next day which was Thursday as my husband was at the IRS Conference. So I went back on Friday morning first thing to have my nails repainted . I explained what happened and I guess they have a 7 day policy for Gel only. Regular polish has no warranty once you leave their shop.( In all my years, getting my nails done, I've never had nail polish crack or fall off the next day.) I was informed it would cost me $12 to have them repaint my nails. I told them I didn't want the same polish and only wanted clear so if it peels you can't see it. They ended up not charging me, but the vibe from all the ladies, but one was very uncomfortable, as if I did something wrong. I will not return here ever! read more

Terrible experience. I've been here a few times because it is right near where I live, but never again. Every time I go I get numerous cuts on my cuticles and always leave bleeding. This most recent time, however, I was unhappy with my manicure. I did not say anything in the salon because I honestly did not realize -- but once I got home, 5 minutes later, I saw how bad it was. Photo attached vs reference photo. To give them benefit of the doubt, I did ask for them to be shorter and I asked for the background color to be different, so I knew they would look different. But, the nails were not shaped at all, the polka dots were extremely blobby, and I left bleeding and in pain. I called them immediately and asked for a PARTIAL refund and they denied me. They said I can come back in and get them fixed, but I did not have the time, nor did I want to go there again. Bad experience, I will not return and I will not recommend to anyone again. read more

I've been to this salon a couple of times. It's the closest to my house and very nice inside. The quality of manicure and pedicure gel application has been excellent. I find that on average the cost is $10-15 higher than any of the other salons in the area. Also they remove your old polish using the drimmel tool, which is faster but they always seem to nick me on the pinky toe. Massage is very short every time. read more

Update: After my post the shop reached out and was very prompt to fix my nails. They are open until 7pm during the week, so I was able to get in after work to fix my nails. I expected them to fix the 2 nails that were an issue, but they redid all my nails!! Leann was amazing. Discussed a better nail shape for me. I of course went with her suggestion. She was meticulous in my nails. Making sure they were all shaped similarly, cured extra hard. She did an amazing job. And she is so sweet. I will definitely be back to this shop. They were busy at 6 on a Thursday, so take sure you make an appointment. But I can see why they are busy, they stand behind their product. I truly gave the salon a chance multiple times because of location convenience and the great feedback from family. I thought, maybe I'm continuously misinterpreting the situation? But the more I came back, the negative treatment only increased. Additionally, I took my grandpa to SK Nails several times. He had very difficult toenails to deal with and was never refused service. Booking was super easy, I called and got an appointment right away. When I arrived, they sat me down immediately and got started with little to no wait. I got a GEL-X full set in the prettiest coconut milky shade and a gel polish pedicure in a clean white, including a removal, and everything turned out perfect. Lynh did my nails and Joanne did my toes. Both were professional, kind, and incredibly skilled. I was in and out in under an hour, which literally was the first time in my life that has ever happened it was a breeze! The salon is clean, relaxing, and efficient.
