After returning the owner stated he was unable to complete the repair due to not having the right sized glass in stock due to miss measurements and proceeded to demand $440 or he would not release the casings. After trying to rationalize with him he became aggressive took my iphone as collateral, got in his vehicle and blocked our vehicle in his parking lot. At this point we just wanted to leave but was forced to stay until calling the police who was able to help us load our casings and leave. We are still waiting to decide if pressing charges is necessary as the StLouis Police have done an excellent job in following up with us stating not only was this a traumatic experience but a crime.

All were installed incredibly well, by a great team... and are doors Made in USA, AND also Made in Missouri ! We highly recommend Clear Windows Technology! We also recommend having Clear Window Technology install for you doors from Target Windows & Doors, who are located in Vandalia, Missouri, which is near Mexico and Hannibal. The sliding glass doors are the Elite 4000 sliding glass door, with blinds installed between the panes - the blinds rise and fall by one slider, and tilt open/closed by another slider... on the stationary side and on the sliding door.  Dennis at Clear Window said this was the best door he offered and we agree it is great! The door slides so smoothly; the frame and door and locks are all solid. They even installed a foot lock that lets you prop the door open a few inches, to let in some air, while preventing it from moving until your toe taps to unlock the door. The three patio doors are hinged doors, and were installed with new wooden frames, to replace the original frame that had some wood rot. Clear Window Technology did a great job pre-sales, and for install, and the doors look great - nice and new and sleek and clean! Thank you, Dennis, Tracey!!! I ordered a piece of glass for a table top and I have never seen worse quality. The edgework is…read moredull, flat, and uneven, with visible waves running through it. Looking down the side of the glass, you can clearly see every imperfection. I have been a customer of Metro Glass for over 20 years, but in the last 5-6 years the quality has gone downhill dramatically. Nearly every order I've placed has had something wrong--pieces cut too large, measurements not matching the specs I provided, and poor finishing work. This latest order was especially disappointing. There was an oily residue along the edge of the glass that smeared when wiped away, leaving the edge looking cloudy. When I asked about it, I was told it was because the edges are "hand ground." To me, it looks more like outdated work from the 1950s than the quality I used to expect. Out of frustration, I reordered the exact same piece of glass from Kirkwood, and the difference was night and day. The edge was clean, clear, and perfectly straight--the way it should have been the first time. After years of loyalty, I can honestly say the craftsmanship and attention to detail at Metro Glass are no longer there.

The company does not appear to be transparent. The website and rep claim their office is in Fenton but the business addresses registered with the Secretary of State are as follows: James & Kimberly Mills who filed articles of organization in 2015 (not 20 years ago as I was told by the rep) is at 438 E Clinton Place in Kirkwood. Another "Mills Window and Siding" company is registered with a fictious name located at 5355 Hagemann Crossing, Sunset Hills, MO 63128. I recently met with a rep from Mills Window and Door after getting a coupon in the mail. I was told the 40% coupon for siding would be from the "suggested manufacture price" and ultimately the bid would be competitive - so the coupon is merely a "bait and switch". I was told I would be paying 3% more if I used their "interest free financing" or a credit card. Mills Window and Door policy is to get 50% down but the work won't start for 2 months and they control the scheduling. When I questioned my concerns about paying 50% up front then having to be held hostage for at least 2 months to get the work done is not a benefit to me as a customer. One would hope a siding company would stock standard white siding. I was told they have been around for 20 years and have tons of great reviews. The original company was registered with Missouri Secretary of State in 2015. The "fictious company" was registered in 2022. Reviews can be manipulated as we all know and I would recommend homeowners get names and phone numbers from actual customers they have done work for in the past 3 months or don't use them. I informed the rep I would do my research to ensure I am dealing with the original company that has been around that long and he quickly skedaddled stating we were not a good fit. I agree.... I don't like working with companies who are not transparent and want to charge up front then not deliver the service for 2 months. I found the lack of transparency, multiple addresses and business practices unacceptable and felt it important to warn other homeowners to do your research and get actual recent referrals and bids from other companies.
