Everything I've ordered here has been delicious!! I have gotten the French toast and the bridge panini, and have really loved both meals. On the other hand, I found the smoothie and acai bowl to be rather watery. They're handling of the COVID situation for takeout has all been super easy and reliable. Pressed is a regular hangout when I am in town. The place is always clean, the staff always friendly and helpful. You can stay for hours and no one will bug you to leave. It's a busy place but the line moves fast. the orders get filled fast as well. There is a good selection of options. I would def recommend it for casual fare. read more

I like the gluten free options on sandwiches + bakery items. However the gluten free bread is a lot smaller than the wheat based bread, so if you get a sandwich it's pricier because of the gluten free which is understandable, but it's a lot smaller. A regular sandwich is cut in 1/2 when prepared. The gluten free sandwich is not because it is much smaller. Gluten free bread can turn soggy too when they put the regular fixings in it. Whereby regular bread does not get soggy from same ingredients. Thank you for trying. read more

I ordered a steakhouse salad here to go and usually it is perfect but today happens to be the day where it was not done the way it was supposed to be. Things were missing and it just wasn't what I ordered. I called and the front manager perfectly handled the situation and even offered to deliver the a new salad to me. New to Massachusetts and wanting to support local businesses but not knowing where to go. I luckily happened upon Pressed Cafe on my vegetarian Thursday. I ordered the Moroccan Eggplant Farro Bowl. OMG! this dish was so flavorful and BIG. Easily could have been shared! It was so yummy I ate the whole thing. Typically I require extra hot sauce to give me the flavor that I'm looking for. That was NOT the case here. My dish came with a small side of Cilantro hot sauce, which I could shamelessly bath in. It was so flavorful without blowing out my palate. The pita reminded me of the pita that I was served in Morocco. The pita was crispy, not over cooked, on the outside yet soft and fluffy internally. There are so many choices on this menu that it makes it a great spot for vegetarians, vegans, and meat lovers. If you get a chance definitely check it out! read more

Don't let the slick corporate strip mall looks deceive you, the food here is on point. Highlights include eggplant bowl and Chipotle Steak and Egg Burrito. Whats cool is they mix flavors of the middle east with Mexico. They even do the little things right by having solid beverages. Update: I didn't feel good the rest of day after eating the red quinoa bowl. I felt like vomiting. The line was out the door and barely any place to stand in line once inside. The cashier I had seemed miserable didn't even call over to say she taking people just stood there and stared. There was barely anywhere to sit. I had been to the Pressed Cafe in Burlington and thought why can't this amazing place open in Newton??? And magically - it just did! Needham Street between Newton and Needham. This is the best kind of cafe. Tons of salads, sandwiches, bagels, smoothies, juices, burritos and the list goes on. The staff really is well trained and pleasant to deal with. I met the owner today and he was so interested in what would make his new restaurant successful. They have lots of tables for seating. The decor is modern and comfy. They do catering to local area businesses. It is the best model for a cafe around. I am in love!!I have already been a few times and tried different options. I have tried 3 times to give them a chance... their service is poor... 1st trip not crowded a simple order and the counter person had an attitude. 2nd trip... why cant they be pleasant? 3rd and most recent.. a simple cup of coffee.. I haven't been in a while didnt know where it was...the counter staff needs to ask if you want cream or sugar.. the barista give me a black coffee I ask him where the cream is he is flustered and looks back at the counter person... your counter staff needs to make sure they ask customer how the want their coffee..pretty simple.. and could not conveniently get a napkin to wipe a drippy cup..I even gave an extra napkin I found on the side counter to another customer.. read more

Pressed Cafe Newton is an excellent restaurant with quality food. I get my breakfast sandwiches there regularly, Recently however, they started charging $0.10 for the tiny paper bag they put the sandwich in with no notice or warning. They claim that Newton is forcing them to charge which would be fine as long as they let you know in advance and gave you the opportunity to opt out of a bag. If you want to avoid this surcharge you must explicitly request no bag or you'll be charged. read more

I got the healthy start bowl with quinoa and vegetables and it came with a nice sized side salad of cucumber and tomatoes in a vinaigrette. Staff was friendly.
