Really enjoyed coming here to see all those fresh juice shots and juices. I had a juice shop for a little over $3 and honestly it made me feel really good. There's a complete healing properties to the variety of shots on display. They also have healthy soft-serve desserts here. I would say if you happen to be on Newbury Street and you feeling kind of dull get a shot of juice here as a pick-me-up.

Came in to get a refreshing beverage as it was 90+ outside. I felt like I needed a good cleanse after attending the Lana Del Rey concert last night. I grabbed the Simple Cleanse which was OK. It lacked cayenne and tasted like a really sweet lemonade. It was almost too sweet where I'm wondering if I just received a bad batch. Kinda expensive for what I got too.

Freeze (vegan ice cream) and a juice (citrus 2)

I am not really into juices, but I was really glad to give this place a try (thanks to yelp's check-in event!) I got a freeze ( a healthy alternative to ice cream) and a juice (citrus 2). I thought the freeze was just okay, but I have a huge sweet tooth so probably not that cut out for vegan ice cream. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my juice-- I found it to be really refreshing that I downed the whole thing in a few gulps!! If you are a health nut, I can see why you would love this place. They have a variety of options to satisfy all sorts of tastebuds! However, for people who are less inclined, I can see this place being a tad too expensive. But I do appreciate having this place as a healthier alternative to ice cream or smoothies/sugary drinks and my visit has made me more mindful of the ways that I can try to healthier!

First reaction was, like many/most "healthy" places, it is NOT cheap. The soft serve was very average in my opinion, the portion size is also pretty small (for what you pay, especially). It's definitely a different taste to Froyo, so I feel like you either like it or hate it. I was spot in the middle. The fruit toppings were fresh, and so was this caramel drizzle but I don't think I'd come back.

Their packaging and concept are hip as heck, but the taste is not it. This drink didn't taste great, but it was healthy so I finished it. However, I will say that the flavor lasts. I refilled mine with water and five refills later, it still tasted like cucumber. Maybe I'm just not meant for such sugarless juices, but I won't be back.

I've been a longtime Pressed Juicery fan, although at the Westlake Seattle location on the West Coast. Now that I live on the East Coast I make a point to try and stop by the Newbury Street location every time I'm passing through Boston. Greens 1 and Roots 3 are my favorite juices -- the first is great because it doesn't have any fruit sugars and the second because it has the kick of ginger. It's usually around $6 for a juice, but sometimes they offer a bundle of 4 for $20 (sometimes even with a free cooler bag!). My only complaint is that I've visited in the summer and they have literally run out of the vegan soft serve freeze flavors, which is disappointing. The matcha flavor is not very good because it has way too much kale, in my opinion, but I enjoy the strawberry, chocolate and vanilla. They pair especially well with almond butter, slivered almonds and berries. This location specifically is kind of odd (it's in a basement) and there is no indoor seating area (though there is patio space outside with tables and chairs). It's been really worth it to join the frequent customer club (you give them your email and phone number); I would recommend it for more frequent customers. Just this weekend I went and was surprised to find out that my juice was on the house! Honestly, I love this place and hope they might open a location in Providence one day.

Delicious juices and very friendly staff. She offered samples and explained the different options because I'm very indecisive!

I'm not the biggest fan of juices, but I decided to give Pressed Juicery a try. The staff were friendly and knowledgable of the ingredients in each cold-pressed juice. I got the Citrus 2 - Apple Pineapple Lemon Juice ($6.50 without tax). Citrus 2 is a good choice for those that want something refreshing with a slight kick.

Very good juices but they are pricey if you don't have a membership. They only sell vegan food and drinks.

Pressed freezes are a must try. The juice cleanses I would not recommend. Way too much sugar.

We walked into a relaxed space with a consistently friendly and engaged staff, making the experience feel more personal than a typical fast casual stop. The acai bowl is the foundation of the menu and it delivers reliably, with the base thick enough to hold the toppings without turning into soup partway through. The Nutella bowl is the most popular order, and the combination of the rich spread against the acai base works in a way that feels indulgent without completely undermining the healthier premise of the meal. The mango bowls are a lighter, brighter option for anyone who wants something less earthy than the acai, and the Nica Bowl is another solid choice for a more composed build. The customization options are generous and the staff is helpful in steering you toward combinations that work if you are unsure where to start. Prices land in the eleven to thirteen dollar range, which is on the higher side for the format, though the quality of the fruit and the portion sizes make it feel reasonable once you are eating it. For a post workout meal or a lighter lunch option near Northeastern, Playa Bowls is an easy and reliable choice.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for an early dinner before walking around the city. We happened to be visiting during a heat wave weekend, which made our plans a little challenging, but we still made it work. For dinner, I was hungry but not sure I had enough of an appetite for both an appetizer and a meal. I ended up ordering the tofu skewers anyway because they sounded interesting, and they came with peanut sauce. For my main, I ordered the mushroom shawarma pita, which included roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, hummus, Mediterranean salad mix, shaved vegetables, herbs, harissa zhoug, and lemon tahini sauces in a whole grain pita. The pita was described as a low-calorie handheld, but it was packed to the brim. It looked beautiful, but I definitely could not finish it. I made it through one pita half and some of the filling from the second half before calling it quits. There were just a lot of flavors going on. I think it would have been easier to enjoy if the dish had focused on one or two flavor profiles instead of feeling like everything was packed into one pita. Overall, it was good, filling, and satisfying. I also had a kombucha with my meal, which was my attempt at trying to keep cool on a hot summer evening. If I go back, I'll probably keep it simple and order either an appetizer or an entree, because the portions are filling enough that I don't think I'd need both.
