I was very happy to see a new place in this space after the closure of the Pinkberry location. I really want to like Pressed Juicery, because the whole concept of the juice freeze is amazing: all the healthy ingredients you'd get in a juice, served up like fro-yo; however I feel I have to withhold four stars from them because there's just several things that are lacking here. The first day I came in, I got the matcha freeze. This was a little below my expectations and tasted very chalky. Not sure if the matcha was blended enough. On my second visit I opted for the strawberry freeze, which was so much better. They also had all the toppings I wanted, so perhaps they've improved on that. Also, the pineapple was very fresh, which was appreciated. Areas where they can improve: They have matcha lattes but only hot, not iced. Sad. There is no place to sit or even put your bag down in the store. FOMU at least has some benches. The decor is very minimal. Maybe that's intentional, but it feels kind of harsh and unwelcoming. How about some fun paintings or photos of fruits? Something to make it a little more cheerful. Maybe some plants like at FOMU? Very minimal seating outside and on the day I tried to attempt to sit outside, the tables were dirty. Staff could be a little more friendly and enthusiastic. Why do you have to pick up a physical menu? This is awkward. They should just get a board. read more

This is our second visit after a friend told us about how good the freeze is, so we decided to give it a try. We got the Citrus #2 blend, which was tangy and fresh to my liking. The Matcha freeze was indeed very good, but a bit pricey in my opinion. Would love to see more seating, and perhaps more enthusiastic customer service! Pressed may be new to Boston but it's been a west coast staple for some time. The space does lack seating, but this is in line with the brand. Most locations I've been to are small and always minimalistic.. because it's usually crowded and hectic so you need a simple space. It would be nice if they took advantage of the extra space with some chairs and tables, but this isn't a place you're really meant to linger at. Most folks are coming in and out quickly for their staple drinks and to pick up their cleanses. The Freeze is relatively new for the brand, so I have a feeling they are still perfecting the process. It's still a great (albeit pricey) treat that you don't have to feel guilty about. There are usually a number of topping options.. I'm a big fan of the almond butter drizzle on strawberry, maybe with coconut if they have it. Toppings sometimes run out but there's always other good alternatives. Some freeze flavors (like matcha) are an acquired taste, so I recommend sticking to basics on your first go. They are also happy to offer samples before you make a commitment (same for most juices from my experience) The juices are fresh and loaded with solid ingredients. You can definitely find plenty with nutritional facts that won't make you regret your "healthy" drink. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly - never run into anyone unfriendly. Sometimes I walk in there feeling like this or that, and just explaining what my body is doing helps the staff guide me in the right direction. Prices for the individual juices are reasonable (usually about $7 or 5 for $30) and from what I can tell, cheaper than nearby options like juice press. You can also sign up for their loyalty program to earn free juices or cleanses. There are usually some snacks at the cash register, but it's a limited selection... usually a truffle / energy ball and some granola type products. Ugh. I LOVE Pressed. I'm mostly paleo, so when I want to go out for some dairy free ice cream, pressed is my go to. Literally any of the flavors are good, all vegan. I prefer the chocolate over vanilla. They have tons of toppings, all of them also vegan I'm pretty sure? And they're just so good. A little bit pricey but, you get what you pay for!! I love getting chocolate freeze with melted almond butter and cacao drizzle. I came here while I was working in Boston for the day and had some time to kill. I am juice obsessed, and this place definitely hit the mark for me. Walking down Newbury Street, I got suckered in by the enticing picture of the plant based pumpkin freeze. I went in to order and noted the freeze starts at $5 and that you get up to 3 toppings free. So I ordered exactly what was on the picture. Somehow, my order wound up being $6.50. I was charged for each topping! Adding insult to injury, the freeze melted while I was paying. Came in after a weekend of horrible eating and got the greens 3. It was as delicious as green juice gets. I love how cold they are. I went to take advantage of the free drink offer as a juice place is not my usual find. I was okay with the quality. The place is clean. I got a watermelon with basil mix and a chocolate ice cream. The juice is good the only thing is that it's not squeezed on site. The flavors are squeezed and mixed then brought in by individual plastic bottles. I'm thinking the bottles maybe recyclable. The ice cream is soft serve. There is not much organic about it or natural about these food products and other than the nice seating area I didn't find it to be that unique. The drinks can possibly can be bought anywhere. Although the customer server was excellant. It's a bit of greenwashing, I'm thinking that as am alternate thr glass bottles with deposit can be returned and resued would be much better than the multiples of plastic bottles. Then again fresh squeezed onsite would be truer to name juicery. Being able to choose your own combos is not available here. It's a new place and being Newbury street maybe they will be around for a while but I didn't see anything remarkably unique. Pressed juicery took over the old pink berry location. It's very spacious and clean. It feels similar to the other pressed locations however it doesn't yet have seating. I imagine as time continues they might have some tables thrown in. They also serve frozen yogurt which seems fun. So let me preface this with I have done many juice cleanses over the years as I find every 3-6 mos its nice to reset the body etc. I have had much better quality ones in the past. I moved to Boston recently and looked for a local vendor and came across the Pressed Juicery. I did not see any nutritional information on the website when I was ordering a 3 day cleanse and it arrived today. I was shocked to find out the following: 191 Grams of Sugar 232 Grams of Carbs 1110 Calories This was for the 6 daily juices combined. This is ALOT of sugar and carbs. I have done many of these over the years and they contained way less sugar, way more vegetables and way less carbs. I am not sure given the nutrional content this is the healthiest cleanse option. I would have hoped they would have used more greens and lower sugar/carb vegetable and fruit combos in their formula etc. Hey they were tasty but if you are looking for a very healthy juice cleanse this one is defintely high in terms of sugar and carb content. After a scorching walk down from Porter Square, we were in dire need of refreshment. Pressed Juicery is one of the more "affordable" juice options on Newbury St., with juices ringing in at $6.50 (as opposed to $7+ at other places). They have a large selection of healthy juices, as well as frozen yogurt in really interesting flavors like beetroot and matcha. When we walked in, the place felt like it was still mid-construction, as there was a lot of empty space and no seating, and the menu, rather than posted on the wall, was printed on sheets of paper. The staff was friendly and helpful, and allowed us to try samples - a huge plus given the extensive menu. We settled on the Citrus 1 (low sugar) and Citrus 2 (which was our server's favorite juice), both of which were refreshing and tasted natural. The Citrus 1 was definitely less sweet, so more subtle flavors like the coconut water base came through. The Citrus 2 was delicious, with the apple adding a lovely natural sweetness to the drink. Most people came in for the frozen yogurt, and they all seemed to really enjoy it. I love this place, it's super healthy and I like how they mix different ingredients to provide healthy drinks. Although I do feel like they are over priced but most of their drinks are good. My favorite is the blue lemonade, the drink is sweet but not overly sweet. The staff there are very welcoming and helpful. I love their frozen yogurts! Went today to the newbury st location and was disappointed . Not sure if it had been busy earlier or what, but when I walked in (late afternoon) there was only one other customer being helped. Was looking forward to a freeze (my first one in months) and asked for the greens one, my go to. The girl behind the counter goes- "we don't have that right now, but we have matcha instead." No apology, no asking what else I wanted. Weird. But sure, I'll go matcha, who doesn't love matcha? My real disappointment came to toppings. The girl asked me what toppings I wanted, and I rattled off my usual combo of blueberries, granola and honey. Whoops, they didn't have ANY of those but the honey. Again, girl waits until after I order to tell me they only have honey, almond butter and chocolate chips. So, like ZERO of your offerings? At this point I settled for a mediocre combo of almond butter and honey, and it took the girl quite a bit to get that together (not mad about this, you try squeezing almond butter out of a drizzle squeeze). Long story short- no one apologized, offered to discount my freeze or even simply let me know what was out before I ordered. Communication is king! Now even tonight I'm so sad about my lack of freeze experience that I'm writing about it. Will try again, but not at newbury. Thanks to the 3 for $15 promo, I was able to try out 3 of their juices: Green 1, Green 3, and Vanilla almond signature blend. Green 1 was probably my favorite of all. Flavor was as expected as other regular juices: refreshing, not too sweet, well blended. I was expecting a lot more from Pressed Juicery though, especially after hearing great things about it :( Decent flavor selections, although not spectacular. Customer service was okay, but a little more enthusiasm will be better. I like the juice there. They are actually juice and fresh. But I HATE the customer service there. I came there around 1030 am today and want to get a bottle of juice. No customer there so I came right to the register. I looked the the fridge and tried to know what I want. The girl who work there not even gave me a greeting. I told her: "sorry can I have a minute, i don't know what I want". She told me rudely "menu is front of you". I asked her for just one sample and she gave me attitude. I ended up to buy a random bottle and not even care to try to make sure I like it. I saw the gummy bear and ask what were they. She barely told me the information and just said" they are gummy bear for cleanser". She told me she had smaller bottle and cheaper. I asked her how to use and do I need to eat when I do cleanser with them. She told me "they are gummy bear. Just eat them. You can eat however you want. Take the whole bottle (she pointed the big one $14) if you want to. Oh god. I about to buy the gummy bear but you know what. They can't get my money with that customer service.
