    Pumpkin Pie
    Jenny T.

Food: Ice cream satisfied my cravings. I was able to sample a few flavors, but for some reason pumpkin pie made it to the final choice. Service: The worker was nice and let me try a few samples. Ambiance: The store is really small so not enough room to sit down and relax.

It's a tiny store, with nowhere to sit and enjoy your ice cream once you order. While we were indecisive with all the unique flavors, the employee here was extremely kind and patient with us, letting us pick multiple samples to decide. Unfortunately, out of all the flavors we tried... none of them were appealing. In addition, scoops here are pretty pricey. Overall, not worth stopping here.

I was not expecting Emack and Bolio's to be as good as it was. My friend and I decided to spontaneously try this place, and we were blown away. The ice cream was delicious - I ordered vanilla, which is a generic flavor, but it tasted incredible. My friend ordered Stoney's Dream, which was vanilla mixed with chocolate, and he said it was some of the best ice cream he's had in Boston. The place has very unique flavors, and we especially loved that there are different types of cones as well - my friend had his ice cream in a chocolate chip cone, and there were also sprinkle cones, pretzel cones and fruit loop cones to name a few. I also love how the flavors rotate daily! Our server was very friendly, and gave very generous portions. There are only two reasons that I am not reviewing this place a 5 - firstly, it is a bit pricey, and secondly, there is no place to sit. The vibe is really colorful and fun, and the decor is so cool, but it would be so much better if there was a place to sit and enjoy the ice cream. I really enjoyed my experience at Emack and Bolio's, and I would definitely return again.

The ice cream is wildly good . Below is the picture of my vanilla with sprinkles ice cream on a waffle cone. The staff is friendly. The vibe is welcoming. Parking is difficult but we happened to find metered parking .

Good ice cream but nothing insanely special. I ordered the peanut butter oreo. It was very creamy and had a good ratio of oreos. Emack & Bolio's menu changes either daily or weekly. They have a lot of interesting flavors. The service was pretty quick. If you ask, they give very small samples to try too. Pretty small interior. I'd definitely try more flavors if I were roaming newbury street in the future.

High quality ice cream with creative flavors. On the expensive side due to the location. Try the salted pretzel cone! Add a very subtle saltiness to the icecream, which may not sound good but very much us. Had pistachio ice cream with chocolate peanut butter. Creamy and good natural taste

Overall, great ice cream! I ordered the Bananas Foster and the Beantown Buzz. All the flavors looked interesting, and there are also a handful of vegan options. The prices are a little steep, but I feel like that's become standard at many scoop shops. The location is not ideal. There is absolutely no room inside to sit and eat. Be prepared to eat your ice cream on Newbury Street, or run to the Prudential Center if you want to go inside. There is a bench or two outside the store, but if it's crowded, good luck.

I have heard great reviews about this place. It's an odd (but in a good way) spot in newbury street. The interior is fun and there is a variety of flavours to choose from. I appreciate that the staff was masked up. Regarding the service, they're super helpful. I went with the standard/most popular choice. A little sad that unlike the other icecream shops, they don't have ginormous scoops. But I'll live with that! Definitely would recommend to those in the area. Great stop while you shop!

On the recommendation from a bartender at Select Oyster, I headed over here to check out their "creamier" ice cream, and WOW, I was very impressed. I got the Blueberry Crumble, which kinda reminded me of a blueberry pie with bits of graham crackers in it. Worth the scoop (literally and figuratively), and it was a great early afternoon sweet treat. No real seating inside our outside (just a bench that was already occupied), but got the job done! :)

My gym (Tennis & Racquet Club) is right around the corner so I've come to Emack for smoothies for years, they never disappoint. I like making my own combo, but today I had the Emack & bolio Chocolate peanut butter blast! Which is: Protein, Soy milk, peanut butter, chocolate ice cream and banana. Superb if you're in the mood for just a smoothie or a protein one.

Double scoop: Lemon Blueberry (vegan) & Cookie Monster on a Waffle Cone

I had a great first time experience at Emack & Bolio's on Newbury Street. My husband and I visited Boston for a short trip a few weeks ago and was disappointed to find so many of the shops on Newbury closed so early in the evening on the weekend (I know...COVID times). We were due for a dessert stop after an awesome dinner we had earlier in the evening and Emack & Bolio's was one of the few, if only, places open late. With that hot and humid, weather, ice cream was the perfect sweet treat! This Emack & Bolio's is a an intimate space that does not hold many people in it. At the time of our visit, they were able to serve two small groups at a time. As a result, there was a small line formed outside their store, but that didn't seem to deter people from still filing in line...so this must have been an early sign of deliciousness, right? Our wait was short and once we got inside, the girl who was helping us was so friendly and patient as we sampled and tried to nail down our order to something that wouldn't put us into diabetic shock since everything sounded so good. They had tons of speciality waffle cones, but we ultimately ended up ordering - a Peanut Butter Oreo shake - two scoops of ice cream (Cookie Monster & Lemon Blueberry) in a plain waffle cone I didn't get a chance to try the Peanut Butter Oreo shake since it was my husband's, but his report was that it was AMAZING (which is why it disappeared so quickly without giving me a chance to sample). My two scoop ice cream cone was rich, tasty, and fit the flavor profiles described on the menu. The Cookie Monster was vanilla ice cream with oreos and cookie dough pieces. It was nice and creamy, loaded with the respective cookies. My ultimate favorite out of the two was the Lemon Blueberry, which is also a vegan option. Love the combo of Lemon Blueberry in general, so to have it manifested as an ice cream elevated the taste beyond the imaginable for me. The waffle cone was also delicious. Tasted fresh and made in house. Loved Emack & Bolio's on Newbury Street. Definitely a must stop place for us next time we're in town!

This is a cute little ice cream shop on Newbury Street. Staff is super friendly and helpful if it is your first time here. There are plenty of ice cream flavors, and I love the bright colors of display! Ice cream was delicious, and I would definitely come back again!

I was in town for the week and this was a great place to fulfill my ice cream cravings. Lots of fantastic sounding and tasting flavors to choose from.

Serviceable ice cream but not great. Got the raspberry chocolate chip - very light, somewhat fake raspberry flavor.

I've also made a customized version of the demogorgon to add caramel core and fudge sauce. You mostly taste the toppings more than the actual ice cream. The demogorgon is great for the chocolate on chocolate craving. I didn't like the Vader as much because the frosting on top is too sweet. Cannolis and cream I subbed the Oreo frosting with their homemade whip. Their whip doesn't taste like anything sadly and their frosting is overpowering. I probably wouldn't get this again since all you taste is the chocolate chips and a hint of Oreo. The yogurt itself was bland. For the blueb sundae I love the fresh blueberries, pudding and crumb topping. It's very nice for a fruit ice cream just wish the ice cream was more flavorful. Order online for easier pickup as there is only 1 screen to take orders at and no seating inside. Quick service. Has picnic tables outside to sit and not too bad to find parking on the street. Has some little tables but limited and twinkly lights at night. Staff seemed very stressed when people crowd around and needs better organization of the pickup area vs ordering vs waiting to avoid this frustration/rudeness from the staff.

We got pretty lucky while roaming around and stumbled across what looks to be a new food hall that features a cool looking little ice cream shop called Crescent Ridge. Was I hungry? not really. Did I need ice cream? not at all. Did I order some since I probably won't be back for years? You betcha! I ended up ordering a two scoop cone with some form of cookie monster style ice cream as well as a scoop of double chocolate (or something like that). I was expecting two regular size scoops, but no, this cone was massive and dripping all over my hand (luckily, they offered a little bowl in case it melted to much) and I went to work on this thing. Both of the ice cream flavours were super rich, tasty, and really hit the spot (not of hunger, but of being cold) on a hot and humid New England day. Overall, Crescent Ridge is in the perfect location for grabbing some desert after eating at the food hall. The prices were reasonable, the kids working were great, and the ice cream gets a big thumbs up.
